To visit the UAE, citizens of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus must obtain a national visa. The registration procedure for citizens of all listed countries is similar.

A peculiarity of the registration is that ordinary citizens who do not have diplomatic passports do not have the opportunity to contact the UAE Embassy directly. Documents can only be submitted through an intermediary or sponsor.

A travel agency can act as an intermediary, in which case you will need to purchase a ticket. You can apply for a visa to the UAE yourself through the Internet, visa center, airlines and hotels in the UAE.

There are many types of visas to the Emirates: tourist, guest, transit, cruise, business. You need to choose a visa that matches the purpose of your trip.

Only those people who can document their traveler or financial status are eligible to receive a visa to the UAE.

Confirmation of traveler status is the presence in the passport of visas from any Schengen countries or high-tech countries such as the USA, Great Britain, Japan, Australia or Canada for a period of five years. As proof, you must provide copies of visas and an original passport for the verification procedure.

Financial status must be confirmed with documents proving a certain level of income. This can be a certificate from a place of work whose salary is at least 33,335 rubles, or an extract from a current account that proves an annual income of at least 400,000 rubles.

Otherwise, the visa will be refused.

What documents are needed for a UAE visa?

There are two specific requirements: documents must be provided in the form of color scanned copies, and the validity period of the foreign passport is at least six months.

We create a set of documents:

  • international passport;
  • application form filled out in English;
  • air ticket reservations;
  • hotel reservation;
  • a document confirming the purchase of a tourist package or a document from a UAE hotel that provides visa support services;
  • copies of visas, both valid and used;
  • one color photograph taken no earlier than six months before the submission time, on a light background, sizes 30x40 mm and 40x50 mm are acceptable.

The form must be filled out without errors and accurately. Errors in the application form may be a reason for refusal to issue a visa.

If traveling with children you will additionally need:

  • a copy of the child's birth certificate;
  • notarized consent to take the child out if he is traveling with only one of the parents.

Cost and processing time

The cost of a visa varies significantly depending on the type of visa, the method of submitting documents and the urgency. In each individual case it is calculated individually. The fee for a tourist visa is 3,050 rubles, a transit visa is 2,150 rubles. Submitting documents through a visa center will make it 1,000 rubles more expensive; urgent processing of documents will require an additional payment of 1,500 rubles in addition to the main fees.

The validity of a tourist visa is 60 days; you can stay in the country for 30 days, including the day of arrival and the day of departure.

Review of applications takes 3-4 days for a tourist visa, 2-3 days for a transit visa. When submitting documents, you need to take into account that in Arab countries there are a large number of religious and secular holidays, which are days off for employees of the Immigration Service. Therefore, you need to apply for a visa in advance.

The site provides the ability to track the readiness of documents. To do this, you need to enter the number and expiration date of your foreign passport in a special form on the website.

Features of entry for certain categories of persons

Women under 30 years of age have the right to enter only if accompanied by their husband or parents (father). Last names must be the same. Different surnames with your husband can create problems when obtaining a visa.

Children can only enter the country if accompanied by their parents or guardians. Students under the age of 21 are also required to have an accompanying person.

What does a UAE visa look like?

The appearance of the UAE visa is different, it is not a sticker in the passport. This is a file in pdf format, a copy of which the migration service sends by email to the applicant. The file contains a unique number. The received visa will need to be printed out in good quality and presented when going through border control.

Remember, if a foreign passport contains a note about visiting Israel, this can create problems both with obtaining a visa and with entering the country, despite the fact that there is no such prohibition officially.
