I usually treat negative reviews on the Internet with skepticism, since assessments are subjective and based on the life experience of each individual person. But then I got burned. At the moment (04/25/2018) I am with my family in this hotel. This hotel does not correspond to either the star rating or the price category. I can give a rating of no more than 4 stars, and even that is negotiable. But first things first: 1. we arrived on an Emirates night flight, so we ended up at the hotel at 8 am. The room wasn't ready yet, but no complaints here. But in the distance things start to get more interesting. They showed on the map the hotel area where we would live (the outermost building) and offered to move us to main building. We received a refusal and were immediately resettled for free. For the first time we were faced with the fact that we were not allowed in for breakfast (even though we arrived on an all-inclusive system), motivated by the fact that our official check-in occurs at 12.30. Usually hotels are accommodating to tourists, especially considering that I was visiting with 2 small children. 2.beach: long, clean, lots of sunbeds, BUT there are probably enough umbrellas for 30% of the total. On the first day, when I asked to find an umbrella, a worker on the beach suggested putting 5 sun loungers under two umbrellas, maybe in two tiers. When I told him that this option would not suit me, he said with a dissatisfied look that he would give me 1 umbrella per family, despite the fact that 2 sun loungers fit under it, and not 4 as I needed. Today in the afternoon I’m lying on the beach, I’m not touching anyone, a whip (not from the word beach) comes up and closes the umbrella, with the words it’s already getting dark anyway, and you’ll be lying in the shade of a palm tree anyway.

  1. Feeding/food. Meals on the all-inclusive system take place in the common restaurant. No variety of food. Breakfast is monotonous and quite meager. Lunch and dinner can generally be confused. Plus and minus are always the same. There is a minimum of fruit, desserts are 90% represented by mousse. There is no baklava or oriental sweets there, not even close. During peak hours, waiters can serve drinks for 15-20 minutes. And in the end, I didn’t bring what I ordered.
The bars on site have cool coffee machines. I asked to make cold coffee, they only took boiling water from this coffee machine, and the instant coffee itself was taken from a can. 4. room: the room itself is of quite good quality, there are minimal complaints here, but when it comes to cleaning, they don’t put towels in, or they are eager to clean up when the children are sleeping. The room is physically located on the 2nd floor. Underneath there is a bar where the action can go on until 3-4 am. 5. Children's playground, I think it will be interesting for children under 3. In the evening there is not enough lighting. Among the advantages of the entire hotel, I can mention a children's water park and attentive girls animators. You may think, of course, that I’m too greedy, but I’m so blown away by the fact that for this money last September we went to the Gloria Golf Resort in Turkey, and these hotels are just heaven and earth. Conclusion: if we consider the hotel as 4 , then maybe it’s ok, but for the money they’re asking for it, I categorically don’t recommend it.

Lice after rest

I rested from April 30 to May 9, 2019, with two children, everything was good, except for the restaurant (Bai Club), the food was monotonous, meat was rare, I saw fish twice, otherwise I liked it. After arriving a day later, the daughter was found to have lice, the son did not have any, the daughter had African braids done in a beauty salon on the hotel premises near the Bai Club restaurant, I believe that lice could have been picked up there, since if they were anywhere else, then they would have been both for me and my son. Regarding the administrators, I can say that it is better to contact Anastasia to resolve issues; I do not recommend contacting Asem, since she performs her duties formally, behaves arrogantly and without due respect for the guests. Other administrators communicate exclusively in English, so if you don’t know it, you will experience difficulties in your stay due to the language barrier. The sea is good and clean, jellyfish are not dangerous. A photographer on site takes photos of you for free for an hour or two, then you buy the photo from him, this is where the surprises begin, for example, to send one photo to your disk, it will cost you 8 dollars, and this is without printing. The air conditioners are set to 21 degrees automatically, so when you come in or out, it feels like going from an oven to a freezer and vice versa, so you can get a heart attack or catch a cold. In general, the staff, Indians, Pakistanis, and Filipinos, are friendly and efficient. I don’t recommend considering options other than \"All inclusive\" or \"Ultra all inclusive\" as it is expensive.

As a result, tourists are encouraged to swim in a “soup” of green algae, foam and sunblock film. Visibility in the water - you stand up to your waist, your legs are not visible. One entry into such a “sea” was enough for me. Another funny thing is that the best, cleanest central part of this reservoir is reserved for aquatic species sports: jet skis and boats. Tourists swim in the pools. The most desperate ones climb into this coastal swamp. You won’t even be able to lie on the beach there: there are far fewer umbrellas than sunbeds. Although the hotel was booked for 10 days, after a couple of days spent in it, it became clear that “the vacation had to be saved,” because we were going to the sea. I had to urgently move to Hilton Al Hamra Golf Resort, which is on the other side of the bay. 7 minutes by taxi, but the impression is completely different. There great beach! Waves, sand, clear (by Emirati standards, of course) water. In short, if you are going to the Emirates to swim in the sea, then there is nothing to do in Doubletree. If you are satisfied with swimming pools and all-inclusive with big amount tourists, then you can consider this hotel, keeping in mind that it is closer to four stars than five. ZY Another unpleasant moment. A week after leaving, DoubleTree suddenly debited about 750 AED from my card. While I was sorting out with my bank what kind of payment this was, the amount was returned to my account. I'm still scratching my head, what was that? Error or intent? I blocked the card, but the sediment remained.

In May 2019 we visited the hotel for the second time. Room 1822 on the eighth floor with sea view. The view is great. Cleaning was done in a timely manner. The room has a kettle, hairdryer, iron and even an alarm clock. The food is okay. If you are not a gourmet, you definitely won’t go hungry. Fruits include watermelon, melon, pineapple and something else. The pool is large and comfortable. Low tide on the beach in the morning, normal in the afternoon. Coarse bulk sand. There are jellyfish, but they are blue and clearly visible in the water, so they do not cause problems. The road from the airport to the hotel by bus is 1.5 hours, if by car, then 45 minutes. There are three-story buildings with private swimming pools. Located away from the main building.
