There, take a ferry operated by the Indonesia Ferry company, and in 30 minutes it will take its passengers to Gilimanuk. Bali – fairy island, where many Russian tourists want to go. Today, transport links between and major cities set up quite well. Therefore, you can easily reach your final destination, knowing information about the most popular routes and air carriers.

From Russia

As a rule, travel to Bali begins at airports and. If you live in another city, do not forget to worry in advance about how you will get to major cities. There are no direct flights from Moscow and St. Petersburg to Bali, but you can purchase a fairly convenient option that involves a short connection in and other cities. The following airlines regularly fly from Moscow and St. Petersburg: Singapore Airlines; Qatar airways; Emirates; S7; Catay Pacific.

Be sure to check connection times, prices, and availability before traveling, as they sell out within hours. Most often, such tickets can be purchased from a tour operator, who will warn you about all the pros and cons of the future trip. Travel time varies from 12 to 20 hours depending on the airline chosen.

From Jakarta

Jakarta is the capital and tourists who want to save money sometimes prefer to fly to Bali via. This method of transportation has both negative and positive sides. Significant disadvantages are increased time spent on the road, several transfers, possible lack of tickets, fatigue upon arrival on the island. The positive aspects are that tickets will cost much less and can be purchased at a special offer.

People travel to Jakarta from Moscow and St. Petersburg via: Dubai; Doha; Abu Dhabi; . All flights are operated by local airlines of the countries in which these cities are located. Thus, Emirates airliners fly to Dubai, and Turkish Airlines to Dubai. Separately, it is worth noting the services provided by the Emirates carrier, which offers to buy a ticket that includes a flight to Jakarta and a flight to. In this case, luggage is checked in immediately to Bali.

There are many daily flights between Jakarta and Bali from low-cost airlines Lion Air, Merpati, Air Asia and Garuda Indonesia. Ticket prices range from $45 to $160 roundtrip. Tickets should be purchased directly on the carriers' websites, since information on Russian websites may be incomplete.

How to get to Bali from Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore

Another common option to get to Bali is to fly through Asian countries. You can fly to it in any way acceptable to you, since there are many flights from different cities of Russia to the capital of Thailand. By planning your trip in advance, you have a chance to buy last-minute tickets at a low price.

You can fly to from Moscow with transfers to or. Waiting times at airports vary, which should also be taken into account. When buying tickets for Uzbek airlines, check their availability at the box office, since information about cheap tickets is rarely posted on official websites.

There is a direct flight from Moscow to Singapore Airlines, considered one of the best among Asian air carriers. Having made a transfer to refuel, a comfortable plane will take you to your destination within 10 hours. The cost of a ticket reaches about 70,000 rubles in both directions.

With this option of traveling to Bali, do not forget about one nuance - Russian citizens are allowed to spend several days in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok without a visa, that is, you can stay in these cities, for example, for a day and calmly wait for the next flight.

Once you fly to any of the above cities, you can easily buy tickets for other flights to Bali. Of course, it is better to puzzle over this issue while still in Russia and have tickets in hand upon arrival. Flights to the island are carried out by AirAsia, Jet Star and Lion Air, which operate 5-8 regular flights per week.

Vacation is a wonderful time that you often want to spend somewhere warm country. Since the budget is usually limited, tourists have to look for more acceptable options for how to cheaply get to Bali, Turkey, Egypt and other countries that have long gained fame as popular resorts around the world.

A mini paradise for travelers

A small island at the junction of the Pacific and Indian Oceans popular with tourists because of its unusual climate - it is hot from June to October, and humidity and tropical thunderstorms from November to March. Experienced travelers know how to get to Bali cheaply, so they usually vacation here 2-3 times a year, since such a relaxing atmosphere and high-quality service is quite difficult to find.

Some of those who have once visited here even decide to move, which is why the population of the island has increased by a quarter over the past 100 years and currently amounts to about 4.2 million people. There are a large number of hotels and hotels, musical and religious festivals are constantly held, museums of sculpture and painting are open, so everyone can find entertainment here to their liking.

How much does a ride cost?

Flights to this island are not carried out from all corners of Russia. As of August 2018, residents of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Ufa, Irkutsk, Khabarovsk, Novosibirsk, Kazan, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and Vladivostok have the opportunity to travel. However, it cannot be said that they are lucky to have cheap tickets to Bali - for example, for Muscovites the minimum price for a trip will be 40 thousand rubles, residents of the Northern capital will have to pay at least 38 thousand.

Residents of the regions will have to pay a much higher price for a flight to Bali; it is quite possible that they will first have to get to the city from which they fly there. regular flights. It is much easier to fly from Vladivostok or Irkutsk - the distance to the island from there is much shorter, and the minimum cost of a round trip is 28-30 thousand rubles for one passenger. To calculate the approximate price of a one-way ticket, it is enough to divide the above amounts in half.

We are flying via Qatar

This method is only suitable if you specifically monitor stocks in certain areas. Some people, thinking about how to fly to Bali cheaply, choose the route via Qatar. This choice is largely due to the fact that local airlines have a fairly large number of flights to the Asian island. However, there is also a flip side to the coin - the price.

During the season, promotional offers are often opened here, when discounts on tickets can reach 40-50%, but in normal times the cost of a round-trip flight in economy class on the Doha-Bali route is 45-50 thousand rubles. Not the most profitable option, but if you are lucky enough to find a discounted ticket, your flight will be as comfortable as possible and you will receive first-class service.

Or maybe fly through Dubai?

Another option, suitable only if there are discounts and last-minute travel packages, is a flight through the UAE. In normal times, plane tickets are quite expensive here; Bali is not cheap for anyone, but 40 thousand for a flight from Dubai airport to Denpasar in both directions is somewhat expensive for tourists trying to reduce their own expenses as much as possible.

The only reason that justifies such expensive prices is comfort and high-quality service. Almost all flights between Bali and the UAE are operated by Emirates, which invests heavily in the quality of its service. The company uses ultra-modern aircraft, so the journey will seem easy and pleasant to you. In order not to miss the sale of tickets for the destination you are interested in, you should periodically monitor the official website of the air carrier.

Is it profitable to fly through China?

If you have looked through a bunch of options on how to get to Bali cheaply, then you have probably considered the method of transferring to Guangzhou. It cannot be said that it is very profitable, since you will have to spend about 30 thousand rubles on a round-trip ticket from Moscow to China, and another 18 from Guangzhou to Denpasar. In this case, you can also only rely on the availability of promotional offers.

Some people prefer to travel through Hong Kong, and there is a certain logic in this. There are often discounts on the route connecting this city with Moscow; sometimes tickets can be purchased for 8-10 thousand rubles. You can fly from Hong Kong to Denpasar and back for 18-20 thousand rubles; in total, the trip will cost 26-30 thousand rubles and will allow you to save a lot of money.

We take advantage of promotions

Since flight prices are quite high, and they want to fly to Bali cheaply, tourists constantly monitor last-minute travel packages, which sometimes appear from large tour operators. If you are lucky enough to purchase one of them, then you can fly to an Asian country for only 25-30 thousand rubles, and in some cases much cheaper. Similar offers can most often be found on Arab and Asian airlines, such as Thai and China Southern.

However, according to experienced tourists, this method is not suitable for all travelers. Since last-minute travel packages are generated when there are unsold airplane seats on a given route or unpurchased hotel rooms, tour operators publish them 1-2 days before departure. Not everyone is able to put all their work aside or take time off as soon as possible, which is also a problem. On the other hand, if you go on vacation without purchasing tickets in advance, there is a risk of waiting for promotional packages from tour operators and not going anywhere at all.

Wrong fares: you can see the whole world!

Few people, when thinking about how to get to Bali cheaply, take into account the presence of very low-cost options in the form of erroneous tariffs. They represent round trip travel options, with different cities of departure and arrival. For example, you can fly from St. Petersburg to Jakarta, and fly back to Rome for 17 thousand rubles. At the same time, it will be much cheaper to get to the island from Jakarta; local low-cost airlines operate between the two cities as minibuses.

Of course, there are pitfalls here too. When building such complex routes, it is necessary to immediately make detailed calculations to understand whether they are really more profitable than direct ones. In addition, difficulties may arise with obtaining a visa and other documents - the rules for entry into Bali may differ radically from those in any other country. You will have to clarify all this yourself and long before your planned trip.

Fast and cheap: where to start?

If you don’t know how to fly to Bali cheaply, but want to visit there, you can adopt the following method: first get to any other city located in South-East Asia, and then use local low-cost airlines. Experienced travelers claim that with this scheme you can save up to 15-20 thousand rubles, which is a very noticeable increase in the budget.

For example, you can first go to Bangkok, the cost of a round trip flight will be 20-25 thousand rubles. If you manage to get a last minute trip to this destination, you can save even more. The main feature is that they usually don’t fly to Thailand in the summer, but to Bali, on the contrary, due to this you can save some of the money set aside for your vacation. The cheapest way to get to the island is from Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur, so when planning your trip, pay attention to the cost of tickets to these Asian cities.

What to do after arriving in Asia?

If you decide to take the cheapest way to get to Bali and fly to one of the cities in Southeast Asia, the next step is to look for low-cost airlines. As a rule, the latter organize small flights within individual countries, and the cost of the flight depends on the number of passengers. Therefore, planes are usually packed to capacity, and it is best to buy tickets in advance.

In Asia, the most popular operators with low prices are Wings Air, Air Asia, Lion Air. For example, an economy class ticket for a one-way flight from Kuala Lumpur to Denpasar can be purchased for only 2-2.5 thousand rubles. It is quite profitable to purchase tickets to the island while in the Philippines, Cambodia, Singapore and Thailand; their cost will be 40-60 dollars. From China, Japan, South Korea And India is much more expensive to fly to - the cost of a ticket there fluctuates around $90.

How to save money when traveling from the capital?

If we talk about how to get to Bali cheaply from Moscow, then the most optimal route would be through Kuala Lumpur. The cost of a round trip flight will be 23-25 thousand rubles, and the quality of service will be consistently high. You can also visit the capital of Malaysia itself - the city is quite pleasant and interesting from the point of view of historical features.

A round trip flight from Kuala Lumpur to Bali will cost 4,500-5,000 rubles. Thus, total cost a flight from Moscow to Denpasar will cost about 30 thousand rubles. Meanwhile, the most low price for tickets on a direct route is 40 thousand, by simple calculations it becomes clear that you win about 10 thousand for each traveler, and at the same time you also have time to see Malaysia. And if you go to Asia from the nearby Russian regions - Vladivostok, Irkutsk and Khabarovsk, ticket prices will be even lower.

Those who often travel abroad on vacation know perfectly well how to fly to Bali cheaply, and willingly share their knowledge with others. In their opinion, you first need to decide for yourself what exactly you like: fly to the island right away or capture a couple of other previously unknown cities along the way. Based on this, you can plan your trip route and the corresponding budget; it is also recommended to immediately set aside some funds for unforeseen circumstances. For example, if you suddenly need to fly home urgently, you will have to buy tickets urgently, and they are not cheap.

Some tourists advise not to use Chinese airlines; in their opinion, the service from such carriers leaves much to be desired. But if the cost of the trip plays an important role, such operators will still have to be considered, since their ticket prices are an order of magnitude lower than the market ones. To find the best deals, experienced travelers recommend subscribing to the airlines' pages in in social networks and periodically monitor emerging promotions.

According to those who sell trips to the heavenly corners of our planet, it is much easier to purchase tickets several months before the intended trip. Since all payments are made in foreign currency, the likelihood that the cost of the flight will change is quite high. Pre-purchase will allow you to insure yourself against unpleasant situations and ruined holidays.

In their opinion, one of the cheapest ways to get to Bali is to purchase last-minute travel packages. However, situations also occur when a client who has purchased tickets cancels the trip a few days before departure. In this case, the tour operator has the right to return only part of the amount, but the tickets remain unclaimed. It is not always possible to announce the availability of last-minute travel packages on time, which is why travel agents recommend that travelers periodically contact agencies and check the availability of tickets for flights of interest.

What should you be wary of?

The desire to fly cheaply to Bali or any other resort town It can be so strong that some tourists go to great lengths to fly out of the country. There are a huge number of communities on social networks in which users can buy tickets and trips to a variety of destinations from each other. Such an exchange is not always successful, so you need to be especially careful when transferring your passport data and finances to strangers.

If you are traveling “savage”, try to purchase tickets only from official airline offices, especially if you are outside of Russia. Tourists have repeatedly reported cases of sales of counterfeit airline tickets that they purchased abroad from dubious organizations. Be sure to check the correctness of the information provided in travel documents, then you will be able to avoid a lot of problems and enjoy your trip to the fullest.

The colorful island of Bali attracts many tourists with its excellent conditions for relaxing on the beach and is considered the most popular resort in Indonesia. Today we will talk about how to get to Bali, which routes are considered the fastest and most popular, and how you can save on your trip.

A nice bonus only for our readers - a discount coupon when paying for tours on the website until June 30:

  • AF500guruturizma - promotional code for 500 rubles for tours from 40,000 rubles
  • AF2000TGuruturizma - promotional code for 2,000 rubles. for tours to Tunisia from 100,000 rubles.

And you will find many more profitable offers from all tour operators on the website. Compare, choose and book tours at the best prices!

Let us immediately note that the cheapest, but not the most in a fast way to get to a paradise island, there will be a mixed trip, which consists of a flight to some city in Asia and a low-cost airline to the island. But there will be interesting route and for those who prefer to travel in comfort and do not want to waste time searching for great deals.

In order to find an option to cover a huge distance by air, we recommend using the search on the website aviasales.ru, which presents the best offers from available airlines. So, the most cheap ticket is offered by Turkish Airlines, which is ready to take you straight to the airport paradise island for only 28,581 rub.

But a route with two transfers cannot be called fast. The total time you will have to spend on board the three aircraft will be about 17 hours. But at the same time, at the transfer points - Istanbul and Jakarta - you will have to spend 18 and 11.5 hours waiting for the plane, respectively. Of course, no one will provide you with free hotel accommodation, so the costs of waiting for your flight will increase significantly. But you can use this time to explore the city, visit a museum or buy souvenirs.

But the fastest flight will be on a plane of the Indonesian company Garuda Indonesia. The journey with one transfer in Hong Kong will take only 16 hours 45 minutes, but a ticket for one passenger will cost 47,658 rubles! You will have to spend an hour longer on the road if you decide to use the services of a Qatar carrier. You will have to make one transfer in Doha, but you can save a lot: flight tickets start from 32,986 rubles. Thus, you can choose not only optimal route from Moscow, but also from airports in other Russian cities. And don’t forget to keep an eye on the promotions that Asian and Turkish carriers run from time to time.

Combined trip

If you are not in a hurry, want to save a lot on the road and are ready to hit the road at any time, one of the mixed routes may suit you, which involve covering part of the journey by plane and the rest by low-cost airlines. But this option is not suitable for everyone, since the second segment will have to be done with minimal comfort.

So, first of all, you need to “register” on sites where airlines post lucrative offers and information about promotions. Look for a cheap ticket to any Asian city, preferably those located near the island of Bali.

A flight to Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong or Kuala Lumpur may be convenient and profitable. Especially if you choose one of the Asian air carriers. For example, today you can easily find a ticket to Bangkok with one transfer for only 16 thousand rubles.

As soon as you find yourself in one of the indicated cities in Asia, all that remains is to choose the route that is optimal in terms of time and costs to the shores of the treasured island. To do this, you can use all available offers: air travel, bus, etc. For example, the carrier Air Asia is ready to take you to the resort for only 6800-7500 rubles! Moreover, the travel time will be only 4 hours! After some simple calculations, it turns out that the cost of the flight is comparable to a direct flight from the budget category, which includes two transfers. At the same time, travel time is reduced by 2-4 times!

An alternative option to get to the island would be to fly from Moscow to Hong Kong, from where you can fly on a plane from one of the companies towards paradise. A ticket to Hong Kong from the capital's airport will cost 13-19 thousand rubles, depending on the company, route and number of transfers, and the journey will take from 9 to 22 hours. The second part of the route will take from 11 hours and will cost only 9-11 thousand rubles.

By the way, there is good news for Russians who do not plan to stay at the resort longer than 30 days. You do not need a holiday visa.

As you can see, there are quite a few alternative routes. And although the paradise island is located at a decent distance from the capital airport of Russia, getting there will not be difficult. Knowing how to get to Bali, which airlines fly and how much a flight costs, you can choose the best option for your exciting trip. Don’t forget to use online resources that allow you to find the best price offers, and regularly monitor carriers’ promotions.

There are many different ways to get to Bali, you can find out about this in this article. Since many people (especially surfers) do not want to take a tour to Bali, I will tell you about different options on how to fly to Bali on your own, where to look for and buy tickets, what transfers to fly with and what is the duration of the flight.

#1 – Stress-free option: direct to Bali

Although there are no direct flights from Russia to Bali, you can buy a connecting ticket from one airline, which can take you to Bali. This flight option is the least stressful because you don’t have to worry about connections or worry about whether you and your luggage will make it to all transfers. Immediately upon check-in for your flight, you will receive boarding passes for the entire flight and your luggage will also be checked in to Bali, which means any delays and flight delays will be the airline’s problem, not yours :-)

The most popular flights to Bali from Moscow are Qatar airways, Emirates, Singapore Airlines, Catay Pacific and Chinese Airlines. Emirates flies from St. Petersburg. The above airlines (except Chinese) are usually very comfortable, Chinese ones are not so much, but they are cheaper. If the difference in the ticket is small, then it is better not to take Chinese airlines. Qatar airlines fly to Bali with a transfer in Doha, Singapore airlines fly to Singapore, Catay airlines fly to Hong Kong, Emirates airlines fly to Dubai, China Southern airlines fly to Guajong, etc.

These airlines fly to Denpasar Airport (DPS) (the only airport in Bali) with one or sometimes two transfers. Be sure to check the number of transfers and length of transfers at each location. Since the cheapest tickets may have “stupid” transfers: for example, 13 hours in Doha (at Qatar Airways), there is nothing to do at this airport and 13 hours is too much. On transfers in Dubai, Doha, etc., you will not be allowed to go out into the city and will have to sit at the airport, spending money on cafes and duty free ;-) Also check the total length of the flight. The fastest flights are up to 20 hours, medium flights are about 25 hours, long flights are more than 30 hours.

  • Skyscanner
  • Ozon.Travel
  • Aviasales

If it is possible to take a flight with one transfer, then it is better not to save too much on this. Because if you save $50-100, you will still spend it on the flight and while waiting on transfers, and you will also be so tired that the first day upon arrival will simply be a rest period and in the end you will lose a lot more.

The ticket price depends on how far in advance you book your ticket. Usually a ticket costs somewhere around 35,000 rubles if you book two or more months in advance. If you look for special offers, it may turn out cheaper. Most often, Emirates and Qatar Airways have promotions in Bali. (By the way, Emirates now sells tickets directly to Bali, and from Jakarta to Bali, the flight is operated by Garuda. The convenience is that Emirates itself selects for you correct ticket on Garuda, and your luggage is checked in directly to Bali.)

From the point of view of waiting for a transplant, the most good airports– this is Singapore, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur (international terminal), Hong Kong. Not so much in Doha and China.

No. 2 – Option “by rail”: get to Bali through neighboring cities in Asia

I often fly this option myself. It is for more or less experienced travelers, since for the first time it can cause some stress from making all the connections yourself. But if you look at it, there is nothing complicated.

You can view tickets separately to such Asian cities as Jakarta (Indonesia), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Singapore, Bangkok (Thailand), Hong Kong, Bangkok (Thailand); and then from there to Bali. Sometimes such flights end up being cheaper than the option of direct flights to Bali described above.

Those who travel from the eastern part of Russia (or from other CIS countries) should definitely consider this option on transfer flights, since you can profitably fly to Hong Kong, and from there on your own to Bali. Even if the transfer there is long, you can go out into the city and take a walk. For example, my friend who flies to Irkutsk always takes a ticket to Hong Kong, and then from there S7 to Irkutsk. This works out cheaper than if you buy the entire flight from Irkutsk to Bali.

The biggest disadvantage when planning a route this way is that some Asian low-cost airlines (for example, Lion Air/ Malindo Air, as well as AirAsia and even Jetstar) sometimes delay flights and you may be late for your next flight; in this case, your ticket will be lost, since you bought everything separately. Therefore, in the case of low-cost airlines, it is better to allow at least three hours for a transfer, and if you are worried, even more.

Another disadvantage is that you usually have to pay separately for luggage at low-cost airlines. Therefore, this option is suitable for those travelers who travel light. And those who are bringing a large suitcase with them must take into account the cost of luggage separately; you will not see it on a low-cost airline ticket. (For example, with AirAsia, a large suitcase on one flight segment will cost about $40S)

Does this option have any advantages? In general, yes! At the same time, you can see another Asian city; all the above cities (except Jakarta) are quite interesting. And Singapore, Hong Kong and Bangkok are, in principle, some of the most colorful cities in Asia. (There is absolutely nothing to do in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia).

As for transfers, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong have huge and modern airports where you can have a fun time. (True, not all terminals in Kuala Lumpur are good; those for low-cost airlines are not very good).

Search for tickets to Asian low-cost airlines:

About the peculiarities of transfers in each city:

Jakarta (CGK – airport code in brackets):

(That is, you book a ticket, for example, to Jakarta, and then look at the low-cost airline separately. As I already said, it is not always profitable to buy separately - check both options.)

On the Jakarta-Bali (Denpasar) route, there are a huge number of flights per day, here are the main low-cost airlines: Air Asia, Lion Air, Citilink, Merpati

Tickets cost $50-80 one way. Buying tickets on the last day is not always profitable. It is better to look at tickets on a general search website (to see which airlines are flying that day) and can be double-checked on the websites of the airlines themselves. For what? Sites with general information Tickets do not always show promos for these local airlines. I usually book local flights through the local Indonesian website tiket.com - the search form is given above. They have a larger selection of local airlines.

One of the disadvantages of Jakarta is that the flight to Bali is a local flight and you often have to change the terminal. The airport in Jakarta is old, the terminals are not connected and you have to look for a free shuttle bus (while fighting off taxi drivers who will say that there is no shuttle bus). Well, the airport itself is not very modern and it is usually tiring to wait for a long transfer there; there is absolutely nothing to occupy yourself with. Garuda Indonesia flies from international terminal to Bali, but almost everyone else is local.

Singapore(SIN) / Kuala Lumpur (KUL) / Bangkok (BKK):

There are many domestic direct flights from these cities to Bali. One-way ticket prices: from $60 to Kuala Lumpur, from $85 to Singapore, from $120 to Bangkok.

As I said above, you can stay in each of these three cities for a day or two - visa Russian tourists not required for short stays to Malaysia and Thailand, and free transit for 4 days to Singapore. (To receive transit you need to show a ticket further to Bali).

Direct flights from Bali to Kuala Lumpur – Air Asia, Malindo Air; Singapore: Air Asia, JetStar; to Bangkok – AirAsia.

It is better to look at tickets for domestic flights from these cities to Bali on the websites of the airlines themselves or on the Indonesian website of low-cost airlines

How to buy tickets to Bali:

In the case of Bali, it is better to look for tickets through special online services, where you can not only compare tickets from different airlines and fares of different ticket services, but also see at once how many connections there are and how long the flight is. With the help of such ticket selection services, you can see the full picture. In the past, I have always tried to book directly on the airline's website, but this only works for simple direct flights. Complex complex flights (as in the case of Bali, where there are no direct flights in principle) are more profitable on special sites like Skyscanner, Ozon.Travel, and Aviasales.

At different periods of my traveling life, I tried different online ticket search services - from kayak and Momondo, Skyscanner and flight sales, and even hipster onetwotrip or hipmunk. Now I have in my arsenal the three services mentioned above, and I will talk about them below.

Skyscanner and Aviasales

What are the benefits of these two services and how do they work?

These sites do not sell you tickets directly, they show offers on different airlines and various online ticket offices, and when you click on the ticket you like, you will be transferred to the website of either the airline or the ticket office. So, using such services, you see all tickets, including promos and including compound flights (when there are several airlines, but the ticket was sold to you as single ticket; to Bali you have to fly on these compound flights, since there are no direct flights.) Aggregator services such as flight sales/skyscanner select a convenient connection for you. That is, for example, if your airline flies from Russia only to Jakarta, then the aggregator will select a ticket from Jakarta to Bali for you.

In my many years of travel experience, these two services are the most convenient, they have the most different “tricks” and most often this is where I find the best deals.

(Other services are not so good for my taste. For example, kayak.com is very bad at showing cheap tickets for some flights in Asia, since it selects more expensive domestic airlines as connections rather than cheap low-cost airlines. Services like hipmunk does not show cheap options at all .)

Aviasales/Skyscanner have a user-friendly interface and various useful “tricks” that can help you find a cheaper ticket. What kind of chips are these?

The most convenient thing is the ticket price calendar. For example, you understand what month you want to fly, but the dates are not important to you. Using the calendar you can see the best days. Personally, I use the calendar almost every time, adjusting my travel dates to cheap ticket dates.

A similar function is prices for neighboring dates or a price chart by day.

Well, the most important thing is that when, after your search, the system gives you dozens of different results, you can filter them. The most popular ones are the length of the journey or the number of transfers. Or, for example, you want to fly out in the evening. Specifically, at Aviasales, it seems to me that the filters are a little more convenient; there you can limit the time during a transfer (so as not to accidentally end up at some Doha airport for 8 hours). I also sometimes throw out some transfer cities (for example, you have a transfer in Tehran, but you don’t want that).

These filters allow you to see not just cheap tickets, but adequately cheap ones. For example, when I was looking for tickets to Bali, there was one very cheap option, but it had three or four (!) transfers and 54 hours on the road. For some, this is not critical, but in the case of a vacation, this option will not work; why waste two days on the road when you can spend them in Bali? :-)

The Aviasales website is generally the most advanced in terms of all sorts of tricks. The coolest of which is a world map with prices for different destinations. That is, if, for example, you don’t know where you want to go, and are ready to rush anywhere, then this option is for you. Choose your departure city, your budget and see where you can go.

Ozon.Travel

Separately, I would like to say about Ozon Travel. This service differs from the above, since it is a ticket office, and not just a selection of tickets. That is, the ticket will be issued to you directly by Ozon, which means the price you see in the search is final. With the services above, it sometimes happens (albeit rarely) that when you are transferred to the site, it turns out that this tariff no longer exists.

On my last trip from Bali to Moscow, the most best tickets I got it from Ozon Travel and so I decided to take a closer look at this service and talk about it here. There are often interesting offers here. For example, I needed to get from Bali to Moscow, and I wanted to fly back to Bali from Europe. It was unprofitable to buy tickets separately; Ozon Travel was the only one who offered me a composite route based on the principle of round-trip tickets - both flights were with Turkish Airlines and the price was not the same as for two individual tickets, but how about one round trip. Moreover, it was impossible to buy this option on the Turks’ website; the composite route separately was also more expensive. I don’t know how Ozon does it, but they have special offers. Well, the main thing is that I flew on this ticket without the slightest problem. And no, these are not advertisements, but real recommendations.

A separate advantage of Ozone is that the ticket can be paid in different ways: from webmoney to the Euroset and even buying a ticket in installments. In some situations, this can also become a decisive factor.

And the last nice detail about Ozone is that they send a departure notification, there is information about the place where you are flying, even about what sockets are in this country and whether you need to take an adapter.

By the way, I don’t recommend looking for tickets only on the ozone website, since this is not an aggregator, but a ticket office; they may not have any options (especially for low-cost airlines). For example, I couldn’t book cheap flights around Europe on low-cost airlines there.

Directly on airline websites?

Checking ticket prices directly on airline websites is a must. What if the service didn’t show some kind of promotional tariff? But lately this has been happening less and less often, since aggregators have learned to pull out absolutely all tariffs and promos. Well, usually, when using a ticket selection service, it will still redirect you to the airline’s website if it has the cheapest fare. Or it will transfer you to the online ticket office if better option exactly there.

Plus, in my experience, somehow aggregators show fares that are not on the airline websites themselves, or simply prices that are slightly lower. The main thing is to use proven services, otherwise there are those that sell you tickets, which then turn out to be invalid or are canceled after some time, when you can no longer get another ticket at the original price and will be forced to overpay.
