The raid diving boat "RVK-2059" was built according to the project RV1415 (code "Flamingo") at the Sosnovskaya shipyard, village. Sosnovka, USSR.

The Flamingo project was developed simultaneously in two modifications: a work boat of Project R-1415 (later Project 14151) for transporting goods and people on external and internal roadsteads of ports and a diving boat of Project RV-1415 (later Project 14152), designed for work at depths up to 45 meters in the same port waters. They were assigned class “O” by the River Register. Their seaworthiness was tested at sea: when the sea level was five, the boats remained afloat and remained stable when any of the compartments were flooded.

Designed on the same constructive and technological basis, they have close specifications: maximum hull length (without fender) - 21.2 meters; maximum hull width (without fender) - 3.93 meters; side height (from the main plane) - 2.25 meters; draft depending on modification - 1.2-1.4 meters; displacement - 42 - 54 tons; full speed - 11 - 12 knots. Autonomy in terms of provisions and drinking water in both modifications - 5 days. The crew of the work boat is three people, the diving crew is eight people (an additional five divers are included). Differences in crew composition were also reflected in the layout of living quarters. Thus, on the diving boat there are cabins for one, three and four people, on the working boat there is one four-person cabin. Both modifications have an electrified galley, shower and toilet, and the diving boat is also equipped with a drying cabinet for clothes.

The work boat is designed for 27 passengers or 17 tons of cargo. Its holds are served by a removable rotating beam with a lifting capacity of 0.5 tons.

The steel hulls with tread protection against corrosion in the underwater part are identical in design and assembled using a transverse system. The enclosures, bulwarks in the bow and stern, wheelhouse, and superstructure are made of aluminum alloy. When transporting railway the superstructure, wheelhouse and bulwark are removed. The pilothouse, extended towards the bow, has eleven portholes, three of them electrically heated. Thermal insulation is made of non-combustible ATIMSS boards, decorative cladding of residential premises is made of laminated plastic, insulation of superstructure rooms is made of fire-resistant boards covered with fiberglass mesh and subsequent painting. Two anchors (weighing 75 kg each), one of which is a spare one and is fastened in a stowed manner on the deck, are lifted on a diving boat with an electric winch, and on a working boat - with a manual capstan. Rescue equipment consists of inflatable rafts PSN-1 OM in containers. They can be dropped on both sides. To pass under bridges, the signal mast of boats of all modifications is tipped to the stern.

As the main engine, controlled from the wheelhouse, the boats use a ZD12L diesel engine with a power of 300 hp, operating through a reverse gearbox to a fixed-pitch propeller. Fuel and oil reserves provide a cruising range of 200 miles. The ship's power plant includes a three-phase synchronous generator (rated power - 12 kW, voltage - 400 V, frequency - 50 Hz), two groups of 6STK-180 M type batteries (voltage - 12 V) and a DC generator mounted on the main engine ( power - 1.2 kW, voltage - 27 V). When moored, power is supplied from shore power.

A closed-type wastewater system and a cleaning system for collecting sub-sludge water, waste oil and fuel sludge are made taking into account modern requirements for the protection of the aquatic environment. Drinking water reserves are about 1.7 m3. Feed provided hot water to the galley and to the shower. The heating and galley stove are electric.

Radio navigation equipment consists of ultra-short wave radio stations of the “Kater” and “Raft” types, as well as the navigation radar “Lotsiya” or “Pechora-1”.

Fire protection is represented by a water fire extinguishing system in the engine room. The diving boat has all the necessary devices and equipment to ensure compliance with the “Rules of Diving Service”.

The projects of both modifications were developed with a high degree of unification of materials and components. The construction of the first production boats showed the high manufacturability of the designs in relation to the flow-position production method. Therefore, it is no coincidence that this particular project was chosen for the development of new modifications for various purposes on its basis.
