Most of the most famous mining ski resorts Western and Central Europe are focused on receiving tourists without children. Their slopes are unsuitable for skiing with children aged 6-7 years and older, and there is practically no entertainment for children there. However, in France, Switzerland, and other European countries, you can still go skiing with children at a ski resort. Review of the most interesting places For family vacation– in our article.

France

At the very foot of the French Alps, in the historical region of Savoy, there is a picturesque village called Morillon. Over the past few decades, it has been considered one of the best places for family holidays in the winter season. The resort even built a special “children’s village” where they work ice skating rinks, children's cafes and clubs. If desired, parents can ride with their offspring on dog sleds.

Learning to ski at the Morillon ski resort couldn't be easier. There are several schools for children and beginners here, and most of the local trails:

  • smooth, flat and very safe;
  • not crowded even on weekends;
  • with the most modern lifting equipment.

Just a 40-minute drive from this resort is the beautiful Swiss city of Geneva. You can go there on an excursion if you get bored with your holiday in the Savoyard village.

When listing the best ski resorts for beginners in France, one cannot fail to mention the town of Puy-St-Vincent. It is located in the Hautes-Alpes region, in the southeast of the country. There are 2 excellent schools for beginners with qualified trainers, most of whom have experience working with children. The resort has a large kindergarten. All the routes of Puy-Saint-Vincent converge in the center, so it is simply impossible to get lost on them. In your free time from skiing, you can:

  • go to the cinema, to family film screenings;
  • visit one of the many restaurants, and almost all of them have a children's menu;
  • take a snowmobile trip.

Switzerland

Switzerland also has excellent ski resorts for families with children. The most famous among them is called Adelboden and is located in the Bernese Alps. Most of the resort's trails are gentle and level, relatively uncrowded even at the height of the season. Adelboden's infrastructure meets the highest international standards and is adapted to accommodate children. For them there are:

  • several spacious game rooms;
  • 2 large swimming pools;
  • a school with children's instructors who will teach the child how to stand on skis;
  • numerous cafes and restaurants with children's menus.

And of course, in Adelboden you can go not only skiing, but also skating and sledding, as well as dog sledding. However, keep in mind – Swiss resorts are among the most expensive in Europe. The cost of renting equipment and staying in hotels is quite high here.

Italy

Ski resorts for children in the Italian Dolomites are more economical. In terms of the combination of price and quality, one of the most attractive options is small town Selva. It accepts tourists with children aged 4 months and older. In Selva are located family hotels very high level, many of them employ nannies. You can leave your baby with a nanny while his parents ride on the local slopes.

Older children will also have something to do. They can have fun in special clubs or on playgrounds with sports towns. If desired, a teenage child can enroll in classes at a rock climbing school.

Another great family-friendly resort is called Passo del Tonale, also located in the Dolomites. It is a small village located at the foot of a mountain over 3000 m high. More than a dozen trails are laid on its slopes. Among them there are both very simple ones for beginners and more difficult routes. Like other best ski resorts for families with children, Passo del Tonale offers its guests:

  • use the services of nannies;
  • undergo training in ski schools for children and adults;
  • visit cozy cafes with children's menus.

An important feature of the resort is the long season. Snow in this picturesque corner of the Dolomites lies from the end of October to the very end of May. The peak season is December-February.

Sweden

The best ski resorts for children are not only in the Alps and Dolomites. Not everyone knows that you can have excellent skiing in Sweden. Local resorts are not as popular as Swiss or French ones, which is why there are significantly fewer vacationers here. Prices for holidays in the Scandinavian country cannot be called low, but the Swedes’ service is truly impeccable.

Bulgarian ski resort Borovets was already widely known in the 19th century, and today it has modern infrastructure and wonderful trails. Here you can learn many winter sports. Ski schools offer classes with Russian-speaking instructors, which, you see, is especially important when we're talking about about children. Lessons can be either individual or group. In Borovets there are slopes for both beginners and experienced skiers - i.e. Parents who have sent their child to study will not be bored either.
Training in ski schools in Borovets is conducted for 4 hours a day, where the course can last from 3 to 13 days. Snowboarding will also be taught, but classes will last only 2 hours a day. True, only those children who have already reached the age of 5 will be accepted into schools - in these places special ski gardens are open for them. And those who are younger will have to be rented out to animator teachers for the duration of the ride.

In Slovakia in the High Tatras and Poprad, there are ski schools for children and adults, and you can study here individually or in groups, and even with the whole family (in case none of you have ever stood on alpine skiing). Like many others mountain resorts, here it is not at all necessary to take your own equipment with you - the rental price, although significant, but after the introduction of tariffs for ski transportation by airlines no longer seems so high.
A pleasant surprise for beginners (both adults and children) will be a visit to Aqua City - a large thermal complex where you can relax with pleasure and health benefits after a day spent on the slopes of the mountains.

Close to the Finnish ski resort Luosto (in Lapland). It is located in the Finnish national park Pyhätunturi, at the foot of the Luosto fell. For children there is a special ski school with a “sparrow” hill, on which you can ski and sled.
You can also go with children to another Lapland resort - Levi. Among its well-groomed and illuminated pistes there are also roads for beginner skiers. A ski school with Russian-speaking instructors, some of whom specialize in teaching children, will help kids get on the skis. For beginners, there are 4 free training lifts in the center of the mountain resort. For children 4-6 years old, individual lessons are offered, from 6 years old - group lessons. If the child is not interested in skiing, you can leave the children under supervision in an outdoor children's playground or place them in the care of a Russian-speaking nanny.
Besides ski entertainment, these Finnish mountain resorts have water and recreation complexes and other entertainment for children - from a trip to the village of Santa Claus and dog and reindeer sledding to mining for amethysts on the Luosto hill.

To Austria fly a little further, but here there are real mountains - the Alps, and the level of comfort is completely different. For example, in Bad Hofgastein, beginner skiers will be taken by bus to Angertal, where ski schools and easier trails are open. There is a ski kindergarten here for children from 3 years old, where they will not only be taught and entertained, but they will also not forget to feed them. The ski school accepts children from 4 years old and asks them almost like adults - 4 hours of training every day, with a training course of 6 days.
Not far from Salzburg, in Obertauern, children will be taught to ski, focusing on the play component of the technique. In fact, how much can you study!?! Children are taught at school all year long - so you can relax during the holidays! At this mountain resort, learning to ski will turn into an exciting journey for children, full of varied and pleasant discoveries. Children are collected in small groups - up to 4 people and are taken to classes from the age of 3. There are groups for older children and teenagers, both with a good level of skating and complete beginners.

In French ski resorts , traditionally, children pay a lot of attention. For example, at the EFS Arc 1600 ski school, a children's club located at the La Cachette hotel, accepts children from 4 months to 12 years. This is for those who want to leave the children and go skiing on their own, but from the age of 4, children go on walks and ski lessons with instructors, and there are suitable skis, boots and suits for everyone here. For the guys older classes become more serious, and the mini-club from 4 to 7 is replaced by a children's club, where children from 7 to 12 years old are taught to ride.
