S7 Airlines is one of the three leading Russian air carriers. Its planes fly 42 domestic flights and 41 international flights from Novosibirsk and Moscow. The flight geography includes 26 countries in Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and the Pacific region. Thanks to the impressive S7, it is constantly evolving, as clearly demonstrated by the statistics. In 2014, S7 Airlines carried 8 million passengers, in 2015 - 11 million, and in 2016 - more than 13 million people. This is due to its impressive fleet.

S7 Airlines: aircraft fleet

As of July 2017, the company's fleet consisted of 72 exclusively foreign-made ships. Over the coming years, the S7 Airlines aircraft fleet will be replenished with another 38 aircraft that have already been ordered. They will replace the sides, which have practically exhausted their service life. The S7 aircraft fleet is currently being seriously modernized. The age of the company's oldest airliner is 20 years, the average age of the aircraft is 10 years, new Airbus A320neo is less than a year old. Let's take a closer look at the company's fleet.

Airbus A320neo

The newest S7 airliner was added to the fleet with the Airbus A320neo in mid-summer 2017. This aircraft, the quietest in its class, carries 164 passengers: 156 economy class seats and 8 business class seats. Its cabin differs from that of the Airbus A320 only by the additional 28 rows. Otherwise, the interior layout and seat characteristics are completely the same.

The Airbus A319 is part of the A320 family of airliners, has a shortened fuselage and is used for passenger transportation over short and medium distances - up to 6900 km or up to 8300 km when modified by the A319LR. Onboard capacity is from 116 to 158 passengers, depending on the selected configuration.

This Airbus is popular with airlines from all over the world. The largest operator is the British low-cost airline EasyJet. In Russia Airbus aircraft The A319 is regularly operated by S7 Airlines, “ Ural Airlines", "Russia", "Aurora".

Below are diagrams of Airbus A319 cabins on the most popular airlines among Russian-speaking passengers.

S7 Airlines

On S7 airline flights to Airbus aircraft A319 has 144 seats. The layout is simple, without business class, single cabin - only economy class seats.

Best places on the A319 the S7 is not marked, since the company does not provide luxury seats. However, some chairs still have advantages due to their location. Thus, unofficially, passengers recognize the best seats in the 11th row near the emergency exits: their only (but also important) feature is the increased distance to the row in front, as a result, sitting is much more comfortable in the sense that you can freely stretch your legs and passengers in front do not will cause inconvenience with a lowered backrest.

Tickets to the front of the cabin (rows 1-3) are also considered successful: in this case, you will be among the first to be served food on board, you have the opportunity to leave the plane faster upon landing (no need to stand in line behind passengers who take a long time to collect their belongings), and this moment is already especially relevant for those flying with a short layover.

The worst seats are at the back of the cabin. And they have several disadvantages: these are seats near the toilets, there is less space for hand luggage on the shelf, the backs of the seats are blocked, it takes a long time to get in and out.

Ural Airlines

The capacity of the Airbus A319 in the configuration from Ural Airlines is 134 seats, of which:

  • Business class - 8 seats at the beginning of the cabin (rows 1-2), arranged in a 2-2 pattern;
  • Economy class - 134 seats in a standard 3-3 configuration, the best seats with increased legroom are on the 10th row near the emergency exits.

Russia

Rossiya's fleet of Airbus A319 aircraft is the largest among the fleets of domestic carriers.

There are two layout options used on aircraft. At the same time, both schemes highlight business class and economy class, as well as Space+ seats, which are the best in economy (more legroom) and require an additional payment.

Rossiya's first Airbus A319 design

  • Business class - 8 seats in rows 1-2, arranged in a 2-2 pattern;
  • Economy class - rows 3 to 22;
  • Space+ seats are located on row 9 - B, C, D, E.

Where used - names and side numbers of vessels: "Vladimir" (VQ-BAR), "Volgograd" (VQ-BCO), "Voronezh" (VP-BQK), "Zenitolet" (VQ-BAS), "Ivanovo" (VP -BIQ), “Izhevsk” (EI-EYL), “Kostroma” (EI-EZC), “Lipetsk” (VP-BIU), “Murmansk” (VP-BWG), “Novokuznetsk” (VQ-BAT), “ Novorossiysk (VQ-BAV), Perm (VP-BNN), Rostov-on-Don (VQ-BCP), Samara (VP-BNJ), Saratov (VP-BWJ), Smolensk "(VQ-BBA), "Stavropol" (VQ-BAU), "Suzdal" (EI-EYM), "Tula" (VQ-BAQ), "Ulan-Ude" (VP-BIT), "Ufa" (VP -BNB), "Yaroslavl" (EI-EZD).

Rossiya's second Airbus A319 design

The main feature of this layout option is its business-class equipment. It is in no way separated from the economy class, and even the arrangement of seats in it is based on the economy class layout, but without a middle seat in each block, as a result, all the seats are separate.

  • Business class - 8 seats in rows 1 and 2;
  • Economy class - rows 3 to 23;
  • Space+ seats: 10th row, B, C, D, E.

Names and side numbers of vessels with this configuration: “Anapa” (VP-BBT), “Pskov” (VP-BBU), “Chelyabinsk” (VP-BIS), “Omsk” (VP-BIV).

Until I was 25, I had never flown on an airplane. A year ago, I finally learned all the joys of flying, and the first airline whose services I used was S7. In my review, I will talk about economy class flights from St. Petersburg to Volgograd and back.

S7 Airlines (the brand of Siberia Airlines) has a wide network of domestic routes built on the basis of air transport hubs in Moscow (Domodedovo) and Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo). S7 Airlines also operates regular flights to the CIS countries, Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

Background (can be skipped)

No, I wasn’t afraid to fly, we’d just never been abroad, and flights to my parents in Volgograd from St. Petersburg cost from 8 thousand one way. So every year I traveled by train for 36 hours for 2-3 thousand rubles. Who traveled on trains long distance, he knows how much money you can spend there until you get to your destination. There you need to eat something and entertain yourself with something. As a result, another 500-1000 was spent on these expenses. I always thought - oh, the flight would cost at least five thousand...

Yes, the train has its own romance. This is a kind of adventure, especially if you are going somewhere for the first time. But taking me and spending 3-4 days of a two-week vacation on the road is a shame.

Every time I looked at plane tickets, but the prices were high. Last year, something changed, and flights within Russia became much more accessible. S7 was the first to offer inexpensive tickets, and now Pobeda has launched from St. Petersburg, where you can find a ticket for direct flight from 1999 rubles.

But so far I have only flown S7, so I’ll tell you about my impressions.

Flight cost

In October 2015, we flew to Volgograd for 4600 , and I thought that the prices simply couldn’t be lower! Imagine my surprise when I snatched tickets for November 2016 for 2800! I bought it several months in advance, I was afraid that I wouldn’t have time later, but there were still such tickets for a month. Yes, with a transfer in Moscow, but cheaper than by train and almost a whole day faster!

Last year, S7 introduced new tariffs for their flights. Economy and Business are divided, in turn, into Basic and Flexible tariffs.

Economy Basic.

Are you easy-going, confident in dates and like to travel without luggage? Choose the Economy Basic fare, which includes flight + 1 piece of hand luggage up to 10 kg. Be careful: it is impossible to change anything on your ticket without a fee, as well as choosing a seat for free when checking in for a flight.
The exception is passengers with small travelers: they can reserve a seat completely free of charge when purchasing a ticket or checking in for a flight.

Economy Flexible.

Economy Flexible is suitable for those traveling with a group or family, as it is included in the price free transportation 1 piece of baggage weighing up to 23 kg in addition to hand luggage and free seat selection upon check-in. The tariff also allows you to make changes to your ticket before departure without fees.

Business Basic.

A tariff for travelers who love precision and efficiency. The passenger can enjoy the comfort of business class on board the aircraft, carry one piece of baggage weighing up to 32 kg free of charge and hand luggage up to 15 kg, but do not overpay for access to the business lounge. A ticket purchased at this fare is non-refundable, and changes to the route, flight or flight date are possible only with a fee.

Business Flexible.

Business Flexible is suitable for those passengers who value comfort and flexibility. Such a ticket can be easily returned if necessary, and changes can be made without fees. A passenger can carry two pieces of baggage weighing 32 kg each free of charge, not counting 2 pieces of hand luggage weighing 15 kg.

Simply put, you can fly cheaply if you have no luggage, You you know the date exactly when you fly, and you the choice of location is not important in airplane.

Forced to reschedule your vacation? Changes will be made to the ticket for 3,000 rubles.

Are you still flying with luggage? Pay an additional 2500 rubles.

Do you want to fly at the window at the front of the plane? Choosing a seat when registering on the website will cost from 300 rubles, and at the airport - 500 rubles.

I fly according to the tariff Economy Basic- this option suits me perfectly. You can carry hand luggage weighing up to 10 kg, which is enough for me. I almost never have force majeure situations, so I am 100% confident in my date. On a plane, of course, I want to sit by the window, but I don’t feel sorry for paying 300 rubles per flight for it, so I’ll trust fate)

Aircraft

Of course, the bright green S7 aircraft attract attention and are visible from everywhere.

On the company’s website, they beautifully describe how beautiful and relatively new their aircraft are. And since I am not an expert in anything close to flying, I can only take the air carrier’s word for it.

Currently, S7 Airlines has the most modern and one of the youngest aircraft fleets on the Russian air transportation market. The average age of aircraft operating S7 Airlines flights is eight years. All airline flights are carried out only on foreign-made aircraft Airbus companies and Boeing. Today our fleet consists of 66 aircraft.

On this moment I took 6 short flights between St. Petersburg and Volgograd. I had the opportunity to fly on three different aircraft models.

AIRBUS A321- I flew my very first flight on it from St. Petersburg to Moscow. It has 197 seats, including 8 business class seats. The distance between the seats seemed very comfortable to me. Then we paid to select a specific seat on the plane, and sat in the 7th row, so we took a seat and left it quite quickly.

AIRBUS A319- in Moscow we switched to this model of aircraft. There is no business class, and all 144 seats are classified as economy. In contrast to the A321, we were struck by the distance between the seats, so this plane not only has fewer seats, but they are also placed a little more closely. Although this year 3 out of 4 flights were operated on an Airbus A319, and it was just fine for me. But I am also 165 cm tall.

By the way, on the Basic Economy fare, check-in for the flight occurs with automatic seat selection. Three times out of four I got the second seat from the window in the last row. In the Airbus A319 this is row 24. It’s understandable: if you don’t want to pay, you get the most inconvenient seat.

I was worried about this, but in fact I didn’t see any differences from other places. The seats are the same. The backrest cannot be lowered, but on my short flights this is not necessary. I didn’t smell any odors from the toilet.

But on all three flights, the window seat remained empty, so after boarding the plane, I moved to the window. The seat next to me was correspondingly empty, so I was very happy! The only disadvantage of such places is that there is a significant delay when leaving the plane. Be prepared to wait 5-10 minutes for the others to come out. Faster, if only on the heads!

Speaking of randomly choosing a seat during check-in: I still understand the choice of a seat in the last row, but on one of the four flights this year I got seat 4A, that is, row 4 at the window) So I don’t quite understand the logic in assigning a seat.

The plane is longer than the Airbus A319; it can accommodate 168 people. I also got a seat in the last row, only here the last row is no longer the 24th, but the 29th. The seat spacing is slightly greater than that of the Airbus A319.

Each plane contains a brochure with a description of the model of aircraft you are flying, rules of behavior during the flight and during an emergency.

Nutrition

On S7 flights lasting more than 3 hours, hot meals are provided, and for flights less than 3 hours, a sandwich and tea/coffee/juice/water. Sandwich to choose from: with chicken or cheese.

I tried both. It really tastes better with chicken. It's a bit dry with the cheese.

By the way, I sat in the very last row three times, and all three times I had enough food and still had plenty to choose from.

A little about the flight

How I like to fly!

I loved airplanes with all my heart! My heart skips a beat when we take off, when we gain altitude, when we fly above the clouds...

Takeoff and landing, in my opinion, are quite soft. Before Volgograd it shakes a little, but they warn you about this in advance that this is the norm for Volgograd. The flight attendants (although there was also a steward) are nice, friendly girls, ready to help or give advice if necessary. The pilot of the plane periodically announces where approximately we are flying, what the temperature is outside the window and what weather awaits us at our destination.

I didn’t notice any negativity from S7 representatives.

I'm not scared while flying, I feel good. And at the same time, it’s so amazing how such a huge, heavy machine can fly calmly at such a height and at the same time withstand such harsh weather conditions!

And since I live near the airport, I fly right over my house!

If airfare prices remain at this level, then I will never travel to Volgograd by train again. Not only is the time savings enormous, but now it is also an opportunity to save money. Plus you will also be fed)

I have nothing to compare with, since I have not flown with other airlines, and all my flights were no longer than an hour and a half. But I am very grateful to S7 for the opportunity to drink coffee at home in the morning, and in the afternoon to drink tea with my parents 1800 km from home! The company may have its shortcomings, but I like everything. It’s just a pity that there are no direct flights from St. Petersburg to Volgograd, all only with a transfer to Domodedovo. But these are minor things.

Have a nice and safe flight!

Different configurations of the A319-100 aircraft were considered repeatedly. Let's examine the cabin layout of the Airbus A319 of the aviation company S7 Airlines.

The Sibir aviation company has 20 aircraft of this type.

The cabin configuration includes two classes: economy with 120 seats and business with 8 seats.

A couple of general points about the seat arrangement in the Airbus A319 - their disadvantages and advantages.

1. The seats that are located next to the window have the advantage that you can look out of it during the flight (this, of course, depends on the flight time and weather). If you fly at night, this advantage does not count. Also, your neighbor will not bother you if he wants to get up. These places have one drawback - it is not very convenient to leave it yourself. Therefore, if you don’t need to go to the toilet often or you intend to sleep through the entire flight, choose seats by the window.

2. The seats located near the aisle have their own advantage - it is very easy to get up from if you need to go to the toilet. The disadvantages are that a neighbor may be disturbed if he needs to get up. Flight attendants with trolleys and passengers who walk through the cabin to the galley and toilets can also interfere. Therefore, if you are flying with a child and, most likely, you will have to go to the toilet often. Or you yourself need to go to the restroom more often, then choose from the edge of the seat.

1 rub. business class is not so comfortable, as it is located in front of the partition. There is a lot of legroom, but still, looking at the wall is not very comfortable. Even in front of these places there is a restroom.

3 r. - first row economy. Also in front of the seats there is a partition in the form of a curtain that separates business and economy. There's plenty of legroom there. Another advantage is the fact that no one will recline the back of the chair. The discomfort will come from the fixed armrests, which are where the folding tables are located.

8 rub. Behind it is an emergency hatch/exit to the wing. The backs of this row of seats do not recline or are very limited in this regard.

3-9 r. first cabin, the seat pitch is slightly greater than in the rest of the plane, 9-22 r. Food delivery starts at 3 p.m. from the "head". And passengers sitting in the back have a very limited choice of drinks and food.

9 rub. The passenger seats in this row can easily be called places of increased comfort. There is an emergency exit in front of them. This creates more legroom and makes it possible to get up from your seat without disturbing your neighbors. These are two very important factors during a flight. It is slightly overshadowed by the fact that it is impossible for passengers with animals and children, the elderly, and those whose capabilities are limited to sit in these rows. Hand luggage is prohibited from being placed under seats located in front and at the feet.

21 rub. The aisle seats are not very comfortable, as the proximity to the toilets can be disturbing during the flight. People will constantly stand and pass near you.

22 rubles, the most bad places. Close to the toilets, blocking the backs of the chairs against the wall of the toilets. Take these places for the worst case scenario.

Ask an airline employee for advice

If possible, carefully study the diagram of the airliner you will fly on.

Do not take seats where the seats do not recline or are limited in their ability to do so.

Do not take places near toilets, kitchens and other technical rooms at the very end.

Dear site users!

Clear skies to you, as the pilots say, and a soft landing!

The fleet of S7 Airlines, one of the ten most reliable air carriers in Russia, includes 58 aircraft, 20 of which are Airbus A319. The vehicle has a short and narrow fuselage and can accommodate up to 144 people at a time. The vessel is used both on domestic and international flights. With circuit seats it is better to familiarize yourself with the Airbus 319 S7 in advance, before purchasing a ticket, in order to get only positive emotions from the flight.

Passenger compartment configuration

The A319 airliner may initially have different configurations. Currently, most s7 Airbuses have a cabin with two levels of service for the convenience of customers, but the Airbus A319 has only an economy cabin.

Business Class

In April 2016, S7 airlines abandoned business class on Airbus A319 aircraft, explaining that business class was not in demand on short distances. Now, instead of two wardrobes and two rows of business class, Airbus A319s in the full-economy configuration can accommodate additional economy seats, for a total of 144 seats in the cabin. At the same time, in the first row there are Extra Space seats with an increased distance between the seats. The airline operates single-class aircraft on short flights lasting up to 2.5 hours.

Economy class

The seating arrangement on the Airbus 319 S7 aircraft follows a 3×3 format. The standard distance between the rows is 75 cm, which indicates a high level of comfort for economy passengers. But the flight conditions can be further improved: thanks to the Extra Space service, any passenger can book extra-comfort seats (the first row of economy class and the seats in front of the emergency hatches). The cost of the service is 1000 rubles. Economy class passengers can also use the service special food and order in advance infant, child, Muslim, etc. General menu Economy class standard: soft drinks, snack and dish of your choice.

Passengers are entitled to free baggage allowance weighing up to 23 kg and hand luggage up to 10 kg.

Choosing the best seat on the Airbus 319 S7

In business class, the best seats are considered to be window seats. They allow you to watch as closely as possible an unforgettable spectacle: the takeoff and landing of an aircraft, as well as interesting photos during the flight itself.

Scheme of Airbus A319 of S7 Airlines. To view the image in high quality click on the diagram.

In the economy cabin of the Airbus A319 S7, the 3rd row is undoubtedly the best. There is plenty of legroom because there are no seats in front. Here you can comfortably place hand luggage or sit with a child. Here you can calmly put your baby in front of you and play with him.

The seats located in the 10th row also have increased comfort due to extra space for the legs, which was formed thanks to those in front emergency hatches. However, for safety reasons, they are prohibited for accommodating children, pregnant women, the elderly and the disabled.

Bad places: how not to make a mistake

On the diagram airbus cabin A319 S7 airlines, indicated: the backs of the 9th row seats can recline at a limited angle, since there are emergency exits at the rear.

The 23rd row is the least popular: behind it there is a toilet. Extraneous sounds from the toilet room and restrictions on reclining the backrest are unlikely to make the trip pleasant. And getting food when the choice is extremely limited can completely ruin your mood.

To choose a comfortable seat for a flight on an Airbus 319 S7, you must:

  1. Carefully study the interior plan of the aircraft.
  2. Designate priority seats with extra legroom.
