Ordering a taxi by phone will allow you to save a significant amount. Even if you did not order a taxi for your flight in advance, almost any Moscow company will provide a car within half an hour. It is better to arrange telephone numbers for ordering a taxi in advance.

I’ve been using Yandex Taxi lately, the service allows you to pick up a car within 5 minutes, you don’t need to worry about ordering a car in advance, and the fare will most likely be lower than any other service. Uber works on a similar principle, but I have never used its services.

The Yugo-Zapadnaya metro station is located in convenient location that, leaving the “head” of the car and walking through the underground passage, you will go straight to a stop from which you can take bus number 611.

The duration of the journey is 35-40 minutes. You can get on the Aeroexpress from the underground station of the Kievsky railway station. Flight delay is practically impossible.

Minibus taxi

Minibuses can also be found directly from the metro exit. The main thing is, before you get into the minibus, ask the driver if he is going to the airport. Otherwise, you risk not reaching your destination.

By train

Although the schedule is set, the train may be delayed, which is very unpleasant for people who are in a hurry to check in at the airport. Of course, the minibus may also be delayed, but here you should give preference to the speed of the Aeroexpress; Aeroexpress tickets cost about 420-470 rubles. Therefore, although the air train is expensive, it is a priority.

How to get from Sheremetyevo to Vnukovo

For the most part, regional flights arrive at Vnukovo (although there is a high probability of getting to other airports), as well as flights from CIS countries. There are not many international flights here, most often charter flights.

From this article you will learn how to get to Vnukovo Airport and from it to Moscow, how long it will take, and how much tickets cost for each type of transport. How to get from Vnukovo airport to the center of Moscow

How to get from Vnukovo airport to Moscow

Vnukovo Airport includes three terminals A, B and D, which are located along the same access road and are connected by walkways. That is, to find the right terminal, you just need to walk along the airport, nothing complicated.

Train

Cost: from 420 rubles
Travel time: 35 minutes
Opening hours: 06:00-00:01

As is the case with two other airports in the capital, Vnukovo has tracks for high speed train Aeroexpress, which goes non-stop to the airport from the Kievsky railway station in Moscow and back. Because of this, travel time is significantly reduced - in just 35 minutes you will reach Vnukovo from the center of Moscow.

The Aeroexpress train starts operating at 6 am sharp. The first trains leave at this time both from the station and from the airport. The last train starts at midnight. Trains do not run at night, so you will have to get to Vnukovo in other ways, which we will describe below.

The Aeroexpress station is located across the street from the entrance to Terminal A. A small building, similar to the entrance to the metro, is the entrance to the station. It is also easy to find thanks to the signs.

An Aeroexpress ticket costs 470 rubles one way and 940 rubles both ways. To save 50 rubles, you can purchase a ticket not at the ticket office at the station, but in advance through the official website www.aeroexpress.ru or mobile app. By the way, when buying a ticket in advance, you only need to indicate the date of your trip, and then you can board any Aeroexpress train on that day. Accordingly, if you buy a ticket in advance, a round trip will cost you 840 rubles.

Bus

Cost: from 30 rubles
Travel time: from 35 minutes
Opening hours: 05:00-01:00

Bus routes No. 611 and No. 611c stop near Vnukovo Airport and the Troparevo and Yugo-Zapadnaya metro stations of the red metro line. The stop near the airport is not located at the entrance to the terminal, as is usually the case; you will have to walk a little more than a hundred meters to get to it. To find a stop, you need to exit Terminal B and cross the road. Then go around the multi-level parking building and cross the road again. There will be a bus stop here.

After going around the parking lot, do not forget to buy a ticket at the ticket office before crossing the road. A ticket for one trip costs 30 rubles, and if you buy from the driver - 50 rubles. But this same ticket for 50 rubles (you can also purchase it at the ticket office) gives you the opportunity to transfer to any other type public transport within 90 minutes from the moment you board the bus. We advise you to pay attention to the fact that there may be traffic jams on the Kievskoye Highway, and on all roads nearby, which will significantly increase the travel time to the metro.

The first buses leave the stop at 5 a.m., and the last ones at 1 a.m. Officially, the interval between transport is about 10-15 minutes, but here again traffic jams and the traffic situation can make their own adjustments.

Taxi

Cost: from 1000 rubles
Travel time: from 20 minutes
Opening hours: 24 hours a day

The counters of official taxi services are located on the ground floor (arrival hall) of terminals A and B. Here you can not only order a car, but also consult about the cost and necessary additional equipment in a taxi, for example, a child seat.

We recommend using official taxi services, since private drivers can often ask for a larger amount than a taxi, and also cheat with payment. To protect yourself, it is better to order a taxi either at the airport, or in advance by phone or on the Internet. Compare prices in different companies, read reviews. Yes, you will spend time on this, but the trip will be comfortable and safe.

A taxi, as in all of Moscow, will not be cheap. Prices for a trip to the nearest metro station start around a thousand rubles. Tariffs vary from company to company, although many cars now have meters, so prices may vary.

Rent a car in Vnukovo

For those who want to travel around Moscow or Russia by car, the offices of leading rental companies, for example, Hertz or Avis, are open at the airport during the day. They are located in the arrival hall of Terminal A (ground floor). Here you can choose a car from what is available in the company’s fleet, or get a car pre-booked online. The second option is more convenient, since there is more choice, the price is lower, and it is also possible to order additional equipment (child seat, additional trunk, winter/summer tires, and so on). All this may not be available.

To better understand how to book a car online, we recommend that you read our article on this topic “”. Also make sure that you have time to pick up your car before the offices close - many of them close as early as 8 pm. If you arrive at night, it is better to get to the city by public transport or by taxi, and in Moscow, at any office, get a car in the daytime.

They maneuver quickly and even during rush hour they make their way to the airport in 20 minutes, and they also deliver you directly to the terminal, which is very convenient. How to quickly leave Vnukovo towards Moscow

If you walk 450 m from the terminal along 1st Reisovaya to Tsentralnaya, you will get to the Hotel stop on three routes 611/911/272. Buses 911 and 272 will take you to the Salaryevo metro station, and 611 to Troparevo or Yugo-Zapadnaya. You can also go to Rumyantsevo, but the path to the metro is not close and along the highway, with bulky luggage we do not recommend this option: cross the overpass, walk a little forward along the road and to the left to the side office buildings, on the right hand side there will be a station.

The airport bus stop is located to the side behind multi-storey parking lots. After leaving the building, go forward, going around the parking lot, to the overpass. After passing under it, cross 2 roads and you will go straight to two stops. The required stop towards Moscow is located further from the intersection, follow the route indicated on the bus, you need a sign to the Yugo-Zapadnaya metro station. Use this stop to board the empty bus at the terminus.

Near Terminal A of the airport there are only minibuses, which depart as they fill with passengers, approximately once every half hour. When traveling from Vnukovo to Moscow, stay away from route 526 to the metro Teply Stan it takes 1 hour 44 minutes to get to the metro, making 49 stops.

Opposite Terminal A you will find a parking lot for 45 minibuses, which for 150 rubles will take you to the Yugo-Zapadnoye metro station in 20 minutes: fast, but not the most economical option.

Aeroexpress Vnukovo schedule:

Where to eat in Vnukovo

Vnukovo is actually located in the city, so it’s easy to find shops and inexpensive cafes near the airport. During the day, have a tasty meal in Vnukovo by going to the budget cafe at the hotel (Tsentralnaya 2 - 1A) or in the canteen nearby (1 Reisovaya 4A). Another canteen is hidden between terminals B and D (from B we follow the corridor then up the stairs). At late times, you will have to go further into the city to grocery stores or Fast Food kiosks.

There are a lot of establishments at the airport, the most popular: the Mu-Mu canteen chain, Air Buffet, Just grill bar, Kroshka Potato, Orient Express. After passing the security check you can sit in Burger King, Shokoladnitsa, Grenkipub beer establishment and Mu-mu (domestic airlines). In the departure area for international flights there are Shokoladnitsa, Burger King, Heineken bar, Zyu cafe and Mu-Mu. The cheapest of the airport establishments is still Mu-Mu: don’t forget to buy a drink, it comes with a free Korovka candy.

Where to charge your phone for free

To find an electrical outlet, follow the signs of the Shokoladnitsa cafe; there are accessible outlets nearby to charge your computer or phone. There is an outlet next to the toilets.
In the departure area, there are several power outlets opposite gate 88A in the domestic airlines lounge. The socket is in the international part on the side of gate 1818A under the stairs in the cafe and opposite gate 2525A near the fire hydrant. On the third floor to the left of the escalator in the Mu-Mu cafe there is a convenient table with an outlet, but you’ll have to guard this place.

How to find a toilet

There are enough toilets at the airport, they are in the common part of Terminal A and are provided with signs: on the ground level on the left, on the second level a small toilet on the left and the main toilets on the right side of the second floor of the terminal. On the 3rd floor you will find toilets on the right side at the end.

In the departure area international airlines toilets opposite gates 2121A, 2323A and 2525A (the changing room is located right there). In the domestic sterile area, toilets are located opposite gates 1111A, 1212A and 1414A.

What to do with a child in Vnukovo

Near the toilets in the common and free areas there are changing rooms where you can change your baby's clothes. They are marked with signs and are easy to find. At the airport, there is a children's room on the 2nd floor of Terminal A on the left. For those departing, its services are free; a child under 7 years of age will be allowed in with an accompanying adult for a maximum of 6 hours. The room is filled with toys, there are playgrounds and a slide, you can read, draw, watch cartoons. For very young passengers there is an area with a crib, changing table and high chair.

In the domestic airline waiting room after the shops there is a paid children's area with toys and cartoons, prices start from 300 rubles, but here you can leave your child under supervision or watch him while sitting in the waiting chair.
Go up to level 2 of Terminal D and you will find the mother and child room. It works around the clock and is free. Pregnant women also use its services. Children under 7 with one adult will have a great time in the play area, although you must first get a certificate from the first-aid post (2nd floor, terminal A). You are not allowed to bring your luggage here, leave your bags in the storage room (Terminal A, ground floor)
