And only at the end of the 19th century they began to build rescue ships with fire-fighting and diving equipment.

In our country, a special rescue service operates on all seas and oceans, equipped with first-class

We invite you to build a paper model of the ocean rescue tug "Jaguar". Scale 1:250.

To make a model, prepare scissors, an awl, a metal ruler, a scalpel or a knife with a sharp end, a compass, a sharpened pencil of medium hardness, PVA and BF-2 glue, a plastic triangle (preferably transparent), school patterns, tracing paper and carbon paper.

You will need the usual material: drawing paper, thin cardboard, thread, wire, nails.

Before you start making model parts, transfer them to paper or cardboard.

Start manufacturing with the model body parts. Cut out the center plane (DP) 12, frames from 0 to 10, upper deck (VP) 72, tank deck (PB) 81. Make two half-planes - left and right - more constructive than the waterline 13 P and 13 L (KVL). Draw part 13 P onto tracing paper, then transfer it to drawing paper and cut it along the contour. Turn the tracing paper over and in a mirror image, draw the left half-plane 13 L onto the drawing paper.

Assemble the model body kit in this sequence (see figure on page 5). First, according to DP 12, install and glue frames from 0 to 10. Lubricate the beam valves of frames 7-10 with glue and install VP 72 on them. Make a wall of the superstructure 50 and glue it to VP 72. Lubricate the upper valves of the superstructure 50 with glue, the beam valves of frames 0- 6 and install PB 31 on the hull kit. From the left and right sides, insert the KVL half-plane (parts 13 P and 13 L) into the frames and connect them with glue to the frames.

So, the body kit is ready. Cut out the walls of the tank superstructure 51 L and 51 P, the front wall of the superstructure 17, glue them to PB 81. Make a boat deck 80, and then glue it to the superstructure (parts 51 L, 51 P and 17). Install superstructure 53

on the boat deck, lubricate the upper valves of superstructure 53 with glue and glue deck 84 to it and the front wall 17. Draw the starboard hull plating part 11 P onto tracing paper, transfer it to paper and cut it out. Turn over the tracing paper and make the left side hull plating 11 L in a mirror image. Glue parts 11 P and 11 L to the front wall of the superstructure 17, decks and in the middle part to frames 4-6 to the DP. Then glue the rest of the trim. Glue transom 44 last. When gluing the sheathing, make sure that the DP always remains perpendicular to the decks, and that the decks are straight - not twisted.

The hull with the main superstructures has been assembled. Next, cut it out of paper, roll it into a ring and glue the stationary attachment 48, bend the stern tube 49, the adjustable pitch propeller 47, the fairing 46 and the rudder blade 45. Install these parts in the stern valance. To assemble the pilothouse, prepare frontal wall 13, wall 26, deck 25, bridge 86. Glue wall 26 and frontal wall 18, then deck 25 and bridge 86. Install the assembly on deck 84. Foremast 22 consists of base 22], topmast 22j and ladder 22 5, as well as a platform for the fire monitor 224, for radar antennas 22з, 22о. Glue three 22s brackets under each platform. Glue the casing of the chimney 30], glue the upper base of the ZOg and the canopy 30z into it, install the chimney 30 on deck 84. Assemble a mast 35 consisting of supports Z5 3, a saling 35 if the base 35 2 and a topmast 32. Now the model corresponds to the general architectural type of the prototype vessel. Draw out the remaining small details and cut them out with special precision.

A powerful rescue tug has returned to the rescue forces of the Pacific Fleet

Built back in 1983 at the Admiralty Shipyard in Leningrad, the ship was regularly on duty in the waters for many years Indian Ocean, providing ships of the Navy. During this time, the Alatau crew took part in the rescue of several ships.

And since the nineties of the 20th century, after a decade of hard work, the ship was mothballed for more than 15 years in one of the ship repair yards in Vladivostok. Vessels of this class are very necessary for the Pacific Fleet, which is increasingly entering the ocean zone. Therefore, the Pacific Fleet command found opportunities to finance the repair of the rescuer. And now, after replacing the main mechanisms, the updated vessel returns to the permanent fleet readiness forces.

According to old tradition, the rescue crew decided to bless the tug. This honorable duty was performed by Archpriest Victor, who in his worldly life spent more than one year serving on a nuclear submarine.

Already next month, "Alatau" will arrive at its permanent base in Strelok Bay and begin to carry out its tasks. And next year its crew will have to go out to the ocean as part of the next detachment of ships.
