Riviera Water Park is one of the largest water parks in the country. By official information it has more than 50 attractions and entertainment for every taste, but it still seemed smaller to me. However, to be honest, few people are able to complete even half of the declared attractions in one trip to the park, at least we couldn’t. It’s good if a child and his parents are enough for a couple of dozen slides))

Waterpark Riviera address: Kazan, Fatykh Amirkhan Ave., 1.
GPS coordinates: 55.81532, 49.13226
How to get there: It’s most convenient to stay at the Riviera hotel or an apartment rented for a day near the water park, which many people do, because... The Riviera is located on the opposite bank of the Kazanka River from the city center, near the Millennium Bridge. The metro does not go to the water park, but there is a public transport stop nearby, “Sibgat Khakim Street”. Buses No. 28, 28a, 43, 54, 74, 74a, 97 stop near the water park.

Kazan water park Riviera is open seven days a week, on weekdays from 10.00 to 22.00, on Sunday from 9.00 to 22.00. Saturday and holidays The water park is open from 9.00 to 23.00. If possible, I advise you to arrive early. In the morning the queues are still small and there are quite a lot of spaces in the parking lot in front of the water park.

But already around lunchtime, all the attractions are packed with people, among whom there is no crowd. To ride the slide once, you will have to stand in line for 15-20 minutes. Accordingly, there is nowhere to park the car; cars can barely move around in the parking lot.

Some may have heard that the Riviera water park is involved in a bankruptcy court case, but this process takes years and it is unlikely that such a large facility will be allowed to go bankrupt. Currently, the water park is operating as usual, so you can safely go on vacation and ride the water slides.

Water park Riviera Kazan prices for 2019-2020

The cost of tickets to the water park depends on the season and specific dates. For example, in the winter of 2019, prices for visiting the water park were as follows:

However, the entrance fee has now changed to At the moment the Riviera water park prices for 2020 are as follows:

On weekdays and Sundays, tickets to the Riviera water park cost 1,550 rubles. for an adult and 1190 rub. for a child if you are going for the whole day. Tickets for 4 hours will cost 1350 rubles. for an adult and 950 rub. for a child, and for 2 hours 550 rubles. for an adult and 750 rub. for a child. The 2-hour tariff is usually valid after 19.00.

On Saturdays and holidays, tickets to the water park are more expensive. For a full day, admission for an adult will cost 2,300 rubles, and for a child - 1,900 rubles. A trip to the water park for 4 hours on Saturdays and holidays will cost 1,750 rubles. for an adult and 1350 rub. - to kid. Well, those who decide to spend 2 hours in the water park on a Saturday evening will pay 950 rubles for an adult ticket, and 750 rubles for a child’s ticket.

Children under 4 years old inclusive (or up to 120 cm tall) have free entry to the Kazan Riviera water park. The child ticket is for children from 5 to 12 years old. There is also a preferential category of visitors - these are children 13-17 years old, large families, pensioners, students, people with disabilities. It is better to check the prices for tickets for the preferential category at the box office of the water park itself.

In days school holidays Water park prices are usually higher. So, if you want to save money, I advise you to plan your visit at another time. Before your trip, I recommend checking prices on the official website of the Kazan Riviera water park

I also recommend paying for a full day, because... there are a lot of people, the queues for the attractions are long, and 4 hours is most likely not enough to fully swim. At the same time, if there were no queues, then 4 hours is more than enough for a child to get tired to the point of exhaustion. But, unfortunately, there are queues even on weekdays and even early in the morning, so it’s up to you to decide.

But if you want to stay in the water park longer, you can’t just pay extra for a full-day ticket; the amount will be calculated at the rate of 8 rubles. in 1 min. That is, each additional hour for each family member will cost 480 rubles (8 rubles x 60 minutes). If you look at the prices above, you will understand that it is more profitable to take a full-day ticket; per-minute payment is much more expensive.

In addition, the cost depends on whether you are going alone or in a group. If you are traveling alone, as a couple or as a family, you will pay at the same ticket office and at the prices indicated above. If you arrived whole group, then at another ticket office and the prices will be announced there by a guide or another accompanying person. Tourists on bus tours usually come to the water park in groups.

Also for an additional fee of 100 rubles. You can purchase towels "for rent". But in order not to overpay, I recommend taking them with you, of course. In addition to towels, you will also need flip flops, walking barefoot on the surface is very painful in some places, and in wet toilets (water drips from everything) and disgusting.

Aquapark Kazan - information for visiting

So flip flops are required not according to the requirements of the water park, but precisely because of personal reasons, while outdoor shoes are handed over together with outerwear to the cloakroom at the entrance.

The rest of the clothes are changed in the locker room, where there are special changing cabins. One locker is allowed per family. To be honest, it’s not enough, because... The cabinets are small in size.

Once you are changed and ready to go on the water slides, you need to close your locker. It is blocked using a special bracelet, which is given to you at the box office when purchasing a ticket. Be sure to remember your locker number, as well as the row and location, otherwise you may end up wandering around for a long time and trying to open other people’s cabinets. Instructions on how to close the locker in the locker room of the Riviera water park are presented in the photo below.

You will find the same instructions in the locker room itself, so don’t worry if you don’t remember everything) Also in the locker room you will see the following hints.

They say that it is not necessary to carry money with you in damp underpants in order to pay for a snack for your child or coffee for yourself) You can put any sum of money to “your bracelet”, just pay it in at the ticket office located in the locker room, and then pay for all purchases in the water park with a bracelet from which cash. If you still have money left on your bracelets when leaving the water park, you can return them immediately at the ticket office. This, of course, is a convenient functionality; you don’t need to wrap a wad of banknotes in film))

The prices in the water park cafe are very inhumane, and the choice of dishes is not great. A fairly modest lunch for a family of 3 will cost 800-1000 rubles. The average cost of a serving of soup, as well as a hot dish, is around 200-220 rubles, but a salad will cost 100-120 rubles. Here is the menu in one of the cafes (click on the photo to enlarge to see prices in more detail).

Moreover, at the entrance to the water park they even take away drinking water, just like at the airport. So you have to at least buy drinks, because... Having dived into the chlorinated water of the pools, you are very thirsty, and the prices for them are 120-230 rubles. Well, hunger after active body movements really tightens up)

Many people are sure that it is impossible to rent an apartment in Kazan near a water park. But this is not true at all! New decent residential complexes, in which apartments for every taste are rented, are located literally across the street. So there will always be available apartments for rent in Kazan near the Riviera water park for daily rent.

I have already talked about our experience of renting a one-room studio for daily rent in Kazan, where I also made a selection of apartments near the water park. But even more clearly, you can see all the housing options near the Kremlin and the Kazan water park on this convenient map. If you click on the marks, you can see brief information about the apartment and cost per day.

Waterpark Riviera Kazan through our eyes - review and photos

So we have come, in fact, to a review of the Riviera water park itself in Kazan. In general, it’s worth noting that taking photographs in a water park costs 300 rubles, but many take selfies on their phones and walk around with cameras on their entire chests, it seems like security didn’t pin anyone down or force them to delete photos)) Yes, it would be a pity to delete such bright ones pictures!

The photo shows more slides and outdoor pools. I filmed more of them because... It was much more pleasant to swim outside, so we mostly spent our time there. Plus, there is a safe depth, warm water and suitable slides for children. And when you swim in the open air on an autumn day, the feeling is very cool!

Once we were in the Riviera in winter, and these pools were also working, the water in them was constantly kept warm. Then, of course, my child and I did not dare to undertake such a feat, but adults are happy to go swimming in the falling snow. There is a sauna nearby (which is visible in the photo above on the right) to warm up, but it is very small and if people decide to crowd in there, I’m afraid it will fall apart like a tower))

There are two main pools outside. There is a warm pool with a depth of 0.8 m, just for kids, with appropriate slides. For adults, the water here is literally knee-deep.

The second one is much larger, its depth is 1.2 m, and there are three slides around it for descent. Simple slides, but higher and steeper than in the children's pool. School-age children usually swim here already.

All children must wear life jackets; lifeguards strictly monitor this and immediately grab the whistle if they see intruders. Even if your child knows how to swim, according to water park rules, he must wear a life vest. Mishuta and I were reprimanded once, now the child is always wearing a vest, otherwise it’s wildly unpleasant when you are reprimanded in front of such a crowd:/

There is a large Ferris wheel right behind the pools. A ticket for this must be purchased separately, but a discount is available for water park visitors. To be honest, not many people ride it, apparently no one has the strength to ride a wheel anymore, but at sunset the view from it is truly amazing.

Also for an additional fee of 200 rubles. you can jump on a trampoline. The attraction is called “Bungee”, but still its essence boils down to jumping, although quite high due to the tight ropes.

If you don’t want to ride the water slides, but just don’t mind swimming in the pool and relaxing on the shore, there is the possibility of a separate entrance, without entering the water park. Tickets for the pool alone cost 200-400 rubles, depending on the season and day of the week. One of the warm water pools…

And in the second, the water is not heated, in the fall it was bbrrrr what a cold!

Well, there is an area for relaxing on sun loungers. In September, people were still sunbathing with all their might, although I can’t say that it was very warm, just sunny.

Usually these pools are visited by the residents of Kazan themselves, because... They don’t want to overpay for a water park (they’ve probably been there more than once), but they want to relax by the water. But if you are coming from another city, like us, then I don’t see the point of taking tickets only to the swimming pools, although it is cheaper, it is still not something worth traveling from afar for.

By the way, if you take it to a water park, then entry into these pools is free for you. That is, if you wish, you can swim in them, but again, why, if there are no slides or other entertainment there, and there are no less people.

Inside the water park is also, of course, crowded. There are crowds everywhere, mountains of flops and abandoned towels.

I recommend keeping a close eye on your child. It seems that this is already clear and I usually literally “herd” Misha, but even so, on the pirate ship I lost him in a huge crowd of children and adults. If you go on a roller coaster together, then you go down first, and then only the child. Because in this case you can “accept” it, and the employees assigned to each attraction will monitor the child’s sending down the slide.

Very close by is the excellent Riviera Hotel, where guests from other cities who come to the Kazan water park prefer to stay.

In general, the impressions of the water park are the most positive! The water park is large, there are really a lot of attractions, everything is thought out, there are lifeguards who really carefully monitor everything that happens around the pool. Of course, there are a lot of people, but this is almost always a problem in the water park. I advise you to go early in the morning, so you have a chance to spend at least a couple of hours in relative peace.

To make it clearer where the Riviera water park is located in Kazan, on the map of the city’s attractions I also marked the water park with a blue “wavy” mark. The remaining tags are as follows: worthy of attention the city's attractions:

The Riviera water park is located in one of the busiest parts of the city and consists of an indoor (all year round) and an outdoor part. This favorite place recreation local residents- adults and children, tourists and an excellent weekend option for residents of nearby cities.

Kazan Riviera is one of the largest water parks in the world. There are more than 50 attractions and entertainment (from children's to the most extreme adults), a wave pool, an extensive relaxation area with a Turkish bath, a Finnish sauna, a solarium, several Jacuzzis, a bar and sun loungers.

Slides at the Riviera water park

The Riviera water park houses many attractions; here every visitor will find his own leisure option. The most popular attractions are numerous waterslides, which differ in length, shape and have thematic speaking names.

"Niagara" - a yellow extreme slide with a length of 211 meters, which you can ride either alone or together on an inflatable raft. "Anaconda"— a green slide (108 meters long) is an excellent option for those who like a fast and rapid descent. It is also possible to ride it together. Slide "Bermuda Descent" It also has rapids and can only be conquered alone.

The slide always attracts visitors "Tornado". The descent from it is carried out on single-seat inflatable rings: first, a person falls into a huge funnel (52 meters in diameter), after making several rotations in which, he flies out into the pool at high speed. With such a descent, adrenaline and a lot of positive emotions are guaranteed.

The most famous attraction of the Riviera water park is the red slide. "Kamikaze". The descent in it is carried out without an inflatable ring and only alone, hence the high speed of descent and the name. For intrepid visitors there is a slide "Loop"(83 meters in length), the conquest of which will be one of the most interesting moments of visiting the water park.

To relax after extreme sports, you can choose an attraction "Amazon". This is a leisurely and relaxing trip for the whole family along the river and caves, surrounded by tropical plants. And at the end of the journey, the river flow will carry visitors under the starry sky. The attraction runs almost along the perimeter of the water park and allows you to fully relax from the adventure-filled hours in the water park.

For children The water park has separate indoor and outdoor swimming pools with slides, as well as a whole "Pirate Fort"— entertaining water complex with rides, stairs and water cannons. And for the youngest visitors there are shallow pools (from 0.5 meters deep) and safe slides, play rooms and areas.

The Riviera water park also has wave pool, where you can feel like you’re at a resort, feel the sound of the waves and jump on them. The pool is convenient for both adults and children and resembles the seabed, where the depth does not increase immediately.

Water park employees are on duty next to each attraction and slide, ready to provide instructions and help at the right time.

Spa zone The Riviera water park is a collection of all popular types of services: jacuzzi, massage baths, Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, solarium, after which you can cool off by pouring a barrel of ice water on yourself. A "Aqua-bar", which you can swim up to right in the pool, will complement your relaxation with delicious drinks and snacks.

In addition, the zone has massage room, where you can order a massage session (paid separately).

The food zone, in addition to the Aqua Bar, is represented by a cozy dining room on the 2nd floor of the water park (in the covered part), where you can have a hearty meal. It is prohibited to bring food and drinks (including water) into the water park.

The outdoor area of the Riviera water park is also open in winter: from the indoor part of the water park you can swim into the heated outdoor pool.

Throughout the water park in Kazan there are sun loungers for relaxation, located in both indoor and outdoor areas. In summer weather you can take natural sunbathing, and in winter sunbathe in the solarium. Is the water park open in winter?

In winter, the Riviera water park operates every day as usual, only some of the attractions that are located on the street are closed. But don’t be upset, in the summer area there are only swimming pools and children’s slides, so you won’t lose anything and all the same things will be waiting for you in a closed building. And if you miss the summer sun, you can sunbathe in the solarium, which you will find in the spa area.

What is there in the Riviera water park

The water park is sort of divided into 2 parts, one is under open sky(summer zone), and the second one is in the building and works all year round.

There are several outdoor pools and attractions, but they are either for children or small in size. Those who go outside are mostly sunbathers or lie in the pool, basking in the rays of the sun. There are a lot of sun loungers on display, you will find a couple of free ones at any time.

Waterslides

The main part of the attractions is located in the building so that visitors can use them all year round. There are many areas here, but the main ones are the water slides, for which millions of tourists come.

Tornado

This is the most popular slide in the water park; on the busiest days the queues form huge snakes. When we visited the water park with a large group, after joining the queue, 1 person remained to wait, and the rest took turns visiting other slides. By the time it was our turn, each of us had already ridden 3-5 slides, despite the fact that there was also a small queue there. Why am I saying this, the line for the tornado is huge and if you have to wait there on weekends, you can wait there for about 20-30 minutes, which will take you down one time, but it’s worth it.

The slide starts with a regular closed pipe, on which you will develop enough speed to be able to spin along the walls and not immediately fly down. Gradually you will lose speed and you will be carried away (washed away) into the hole that leads to the pool. Such attractions are also called “toilet bowls”, as they flush you away with a stream of water. Very young children may not be allowed on this slide. What can we say about children, even some adults are afraid of this slide, so before visiting it, try other, simpler ones.

When your turn begins to come to an end, be sure to make sure that you find the inflatable bun on which you will go down in time; you will not be allowed in without it. Inflatable buns usually lie near the stairs to the attraction, or you can take them near the pool, where the attraction ends and those who have already ridden will give it to you.

Niagara

This slide is very wide, has several turns, but in itself it is calm. You will not develop high speed on it and you will not be thrown from side to side too much. You can ride on it in a group (2-4 people), taking a special inflatable bun (cheesecake, tubing). Almost everyone rides on it, because it is not difficult and it is much more fun for two.

NOTE! Inflatable buns lie near the stairs to the attraction, but there are none at the top. Therefore, first find yourself a bun and only then climb the hill, otherwise you will not be able to go down.

Green slide "Anaconda"

Quite a long slide that has a lot sharp turns. They are one of the longest slides, you will ride as much as 108 meters on it. Its speed is average, so don't be intimidated by it and be sure to try it. The slide is very popular, as it develops a good speed and you can ride not only one, but even three people.

Before you climb the Anaconda slide, find a bun for it near the stairs that will be suitable for the number of people you need.

Blue slide "Bermuda Descent"

A long and fast slide with a length of 113 meters. You can only ride one on it and only on an inflatable bun. The slide is of medium difficulty and brings more fun than fear. Probably 90% of visitors go there, since it is long and not particularly scary, even small children happily return to it again.

Red slide "Kamikaze"

It is considered the fastest slide in the Riviera water park. Unfortunately, not many people dare to slide on it because they are afraid of speed, but according to the water park, you can reach speeds of up to 80 km/h.

I highly recommend visiting this slide for anyone who loves thrills. This slide is the most “scary” in the Riviera water park and I do not advise you to visit it first if you plan to stay here for a long time, since the others may seem very boring to you later.

Orange slide "Dead Loop"

It is located next to the Komikaze slide and is a rather difficult slide, many are very afraid of it. But in reality it brings more pleasure than fear. The slide is 83 meters long and there is one section where you do a “Dead Loop”, which is why the slide was called that. A lot of squeals are heard from the slide, but these people immediately run to slide down it for the second time.

Black slide "Black Hole"

A very long slide, with a length of as much as 110 meters. It is called a black hole because it is very dark and practically nothing can be seen until the very end, i.e. you are flying at high speed and will never know in advance which direction the turn will be. Then at the end of the tunnel you will see a white light and with joy.

Canyon

An ordinary short slide, for small children or for those who are afraid of long and high-speed slides.

Children's slides

There are a lot of children's slides built here because the demand for them is high. A lot of children come here and if you are old enough and independent child, then you can easily leave him there and he will have fun with other children.

A mini town was built for them, in which they can climb, climb obstacles and slide down small slides.

Also, in addition to the slides, there are various entertainments, a type of water pistol from which you can shoot a stream of water.

Spa area

The SPA area in the Rieviera water park is quite diverse and if you come here for the whole day, you will definitely find something to do besides water slides and pools.

Finnish saunas

If you like a hot sauna with hot dry air, then you will like it here. The sauna has two-level shelves so that everyone can sit or lie where they feel comfortable. The room itself is quite large, it can easily accommodate 15-20 people, so if you come here with a group, everyone can come in at once.

Roman-Turkish bath

If you prefer a hot bath moist air, then come here. The large bathhouse with a huge amount of steam will greatly delight those who love the classic Russian bathhouse.

Tub of cold water (ice)

If you want to freshen up after a hot bath, you can pull the chain and a whole bucket of cold water will pour out on you. Be careful, the water there is very cold.

Jacuzzi

In the Riviera water park there are about 4 jacuzzis, which can easily accommodate 4-6 people, so you can just sit in them and relax, either as a couple or as a whole group.

Solarium

For those who want an even tan, there is a solarium that you can use as much as you like.

Is it worth going to the Riviera water park with children?

Yes, definitely worth it. There is a lot of entertainment and children's rooms for children here, so you can relax with them or leave them under the supervision of administrators in the children's room.

There are separate pools for children, which are shallow and safer for them.

IMPORTANT! The children's areas at the water park are more closely supervised, so your children have very little chance of causing any harm to themselves or others. And if your child is a bad swimmer, be sure to get him a vest.

There will be no problems with food here either; the cafe has a very varied menu and there is suitable food for everyone.

If for some reason you want to relax without your child or he is not allowed to go into the water, then you can leave him in the children's room, where trained people will work with them. The cost of this service is only 500 rubles for 3 hours.

Children's rooms have everything necessary so that a child can not only run and play, but also relax, drink water, etc.

Where to eat and is there alcohol?

There is a very good cafe in the Riviera water park, where you will see a very varied menu. There is a lot of food that we are familiar with from the first and second courses, as well as our favorite fast food in the form of pizzas, burgers, hot dogs and so on.

In winter, there is a cafe on 2 floors in the water park building. You enter it directly in your bathing suit, there is no need to change clothes or leave the water park. The price level for food is comparable to a regular cafe; there are no wild markups on prices. For example, you will never find a 0.5 bottle of cola there for 200 rubles, as you can often find in our southern resorts.

IMPORTANT! To pay at the water park you need to put money on your bracelet, it will replace your wallet. All services can only be paid for using a bracelet, so put some money on it in advance; if you don’t spend it all, it will be fully returned to you upon leaving.

If you want to relax or just drink alcohol, then swim to the Aqua Bar. It has a wide variety of cocktails so there is something for everyone. You also need to pay here using a bracelet, so put some money on it in advance.
