Grand Yazici Club Turban: reviews from tourists

In general, our compatriots had positive emotions from visiting this hotel. Most of them found the hotel complex to be quite consistent with the stated five stars and the cost of living.

Since mostly family people come here to relax, many tourists appreciate the location of the hotel. It is located a little away from the main line of hotels, in a very quiet place, surrounded by pine trees. As for the hotel rooms, they were all clean, comfortable and well furnished. True, those who lived in distant bungalows were a little embarrassed by the need to walk quite a long time to restaurants, pools and the beach. In addition, some tourists complained about the poor quality of room cleaning. However, most of our compatriots did not mention this problem in their reviews.

Regarding the topic of food, which is often very painful for tourists, there were no special complaints from the guests regarding the Grand Yazici Club Turban Hotel (Marmaris). Thus, the vast majority of travelers said that the food here is very tasty and quite varied. Every day, vacationers found something new on the menu. The cooks worked conscientiously, so no one here could go hungry. Perhaps the only disadvantage of such a diet, our compatriots note that many of them returned home with several extra pounds in the waist and hips.

Most tourists were generally satisfied with the work of the hotel complex staff. However, some hotel guests did not like the fact that restaurants were in no hurry to remove dirty dishes from tables. Instead, the waiters preferred to talk to vacationers from Turkey itself.

Concerning water activities, for which we mainly go on vacation, then the five-star Grand Yazici Club Turban hotel has them in abundance. Both adults and children enjoyed riding the slides in the small water park on site, as well as doing water sports on the beach. The hotel pools also left a favorable impression. However, some tourists were unhappy with the fact that it is necessary to take sun loungers on the sun terrace early in the morning. If you go down to the pool after breakfast, you will hardly be able to find a free sun lounger. A similar problem was observed on the beach. However, there was a shortage of sun umbrellas here. Also, some tourists noted that the beach is too small for a hotel of this size.

In general, our compatriots quite liked the hotel complex. Many of them note that they are ready to return here again and will recommend it to their family and friends.

Luxurious holiday in Marmaris on the shore Mediterranean coast will be donated by the Grand Yazichi Hotel. Besides the pleasant sea breeze, throughout the rest we were haunted by the aroma of pine trees. I really liked how the hotel was divided into areas for relaxing with and without children. I love kids, but when these brats run around and interfere with normal rest, while their mothers enjoy the silence, it’s already too much. So, on a large territory there are swimming pools, among which there are water slides, there is a splash pool for children and there is a place of relaxation where there are no kids at all!!! The same applies to accommodation, we had a building for adults, families are not accommodated there, you could calmly enjoy sleep without children crying (thank you, I heard enough in my time, and I certainly don’t want to endure this on vacation). There are several restaurants, some have a children's area, again, so as not to become victims of careless mothers, my husband and I ate in “places for adults.” For such a division - a huge plus to the management!!! Everything else was just great too. The room is not only quiet and peaceful, but also cozy and comfortable. Upon arrival, everything is there, including toothbrushes. They don’t bring extra gel, but we were helped out by liquid soap, which is always available in bulk. Towels and bed sheets were not even discussed; they were always changed on time. The food is varied, there are themed restaurants, each can be visited by appointment. We liked the Chinese, very unusual dishes. The animation is calm, even very calm. Some assets during the day, then a disco in the evening. The sea was created for lovers of swimming and diving; there is simply no shallow approach! My husband and I were more than satisfied with our stay at this hotel!

We were choosing a hotel for a family holiday; the tour operator recommended us the Grand Yazici in Marmaris. He exceeded all our expectations. Despite the long transfer from the airport, upon arrival we were given a very warm welcome, immediately given the keys to our room and invited to join us for dinner. I'll start with the number. Everything about it is excellent, spacious, despite the Standard, well furnished, the furniture is almost new. They brought an extra cot for the child, but even with that there was enough space. They always cleaned well, complete sanitation, I was calm about the child, they allowed me to walk around the entire room barefoot and naked)) The food is excellent, there are several restaurants, one of which has a children's menu. Of course, the range of dishes for children is not very good, but there was always milk in the morning and soups for lunch, and for our capricious young lady this was the main thing. Nice animation. The children were always involved in some kind of games. There is a children's splash pool and a playground. In the evenings there is dancing for the little ones. It seems like there were dances for adults, but we had a routine - we slept at 10, which means we were already getting ready for our room at 9. The sea is for daredevils, we went there for dad’s sake, waited for him to swim, and sunbathed on the sunbeds, as far as possible with a child) The hotel was super, the rest was satisfying)

Pros: A large area with six swimming pools, there are relaxation pools. The rooms are clean and spacious and the rooms are cleaned every day.The restaurant has a large variety of food and something for every taste. There is a special room for children in the restaurant. There is a mini club. There is a large area where turtles live in rows.Clean beach, clear and clean sea. There are sun loungers on the beach. In the evening you can visit the dancing fountain show. The hotel is ideal for families with children.

Our first trip to Marmaris.
Advantages:
1. Gorgeous green area - pine forest.
2.Sea and beach.
3. Rooms.
4. Room cleaning.
5. Proximity to Marmaris.
6. Promenade along the sea.
Flaws:
1.Food.
2.Service in a restaurant.
3. Air conditioning system.
4.Internet.
The three of us vacationed at the beginning of September: me, my daughter and my 4-year-old granddaughter. We were going to Marmaris for the first time.
The hotel is well located - 6 km from Marmaris, in a coniferous forest, on the 1st line.
There is a promenade between the hotel and the beach, which is a definite advantage of the hotel.
We found what we wanted in the hotel: mountains, pine trees and the clearest transparent sea. This region is a real health resort for people suffering from bronchopulmonary and allergic diseases. It reminded me of Crimea in autumn. Velvet season, no heat and low humidity. Very easy to breathe!
Accommodation.
Thanks to the reception staff, they accommodated us quickly and efficiently, we arrived at night: we bought a standard room and were placed in a family room, in the main building, without additional payments.
I liked the room: 2 rooms, with an interior door. In one room - 2 double bed, 2 bedside tables, table, mirror, chair, coffee table; room with a balcony. In the second room (small) - 1 bed and 1 folding chair, which converts into a single comfortable bed; bedside table, full-length mirror. In each room: a sliding wardrobe (there are many hangers, there are no shelves as such, the shelves are below the compartment with hangers), a central air conditioner - 2 of them (above the bedside table there is a switch in each room, where you can only adjust the power of the air conditioner , no temperature), on the LCD TV on the wall, also 2 (there are many programs, including Russian channels, 2 children's channels with cartoons). Each room has its own bathroom - one has a bathtub, the other has a shower. In the bathroom - in the dispenser there is shampoo-gel in one bottle and liquid soap over the sink; shower caps; and that's all. The carpet on the floor is very old, stained, well-worn. I liked the furniture, comfortable, in light colors. The second room has no windows, but this was not critical for us - they opened the balcony and the interior door, again we were in September, not hot. The air conditioning in the room works weakly in September, it was turned on several times, there were a couple of stuffy days and nights.
Safe: free, small, only documents enter, locked with a regular key (inconvenient to carry), you need to ask for the key at the reception.
Minibar: upon check-in, 2 mineral waters, 2 waters, in the future they are filled only with water. There is plenty of bottled water in the bars on the territory.
Service in the room: upon check-in, there was not 1 set of towels, 1 blanket, pillows in the room. We tried to contact the reception by phone, they answered that they did not understand Russian. Night, they left the question until the morning. In the morning everything was decided with the maid, bed linen Our linen and towels were changed daily. We left tips daily. Room cleaning was good.
Bed linen: instead of a sheet to cover yourself with, there is a blanket, like a waffle towel, narrow, small. The towels are old.
There are no bathrobes or slippers. They are issued only upon repeated visits to the hotel.
Territory
Very beautiful, huge. There are pine trees, palm trees, shade all around. The rattling birds and the green area itself reminded the Paloma Renaissance. Everything is well maintained and clean. There is a gazebo next to the main restaurant. There are many places in the shade where you can relax.
The buildings are represented by: 1) the main building, in which there is a reception and a restaurant on the 1st floor
2) bungalow houses are located in the forest, at varying degrees of distance from the sea, with varying levels of comfort. We were glad that we didn’t take a bungalow, because... The area is mountainous, going up and down with a child is not very easy; there are houses located far from the restaurant and the sea; there are rooms on the 2-3rd floor, the stairs are steep, there is no elevator.
3) a new building has been built, the rooms are not yet rented out, they are already being occupied on some floors. It looks the same as main building, located next to the barrier at the entrance to the hotel.
The building has its own bar and restaurant on the 1st floor (there are only breakfasts and dinners; for lunch they go to the main restaurant in the old building). According to vacationers, a saxophonist sometimes plays during dinner in the new restaurant, and the service seems to be better. All guests can use any hotel restaurant.
You can walk and walk around the hotel grounds, smoothly transitioning to the promenade. If you love pine trees, this is the place for you.
For teenagers there is entertainment - walking at height among the pine trees on ladders, with an instructor, and with a safety rope. The pleasure costs $20.
Swimming pools
There are many of them, very beautiful, among the pines, in the shade. The water in them at the beginning of September is cold, colder than in the sea.
Water park: behind the main building, there are several slides, the child liked it. There is a lifeguard nearby. The pool is located in the shade, among the trees. And this has its downside for a holiday in September: in the afternoon, around 16:00, the water in this pool is also very cold. Time The slides are open from 11.00 to 13.00 and from 15.00 to 17.00. Children rode on the slides, but I didn’t see any crowds, perhaps there are fewer children in the hotel in September.
There is a children's pool, very shallow; and a small waterfall in the relaxation pool near the new building. Children are not allowed in the relaxation pool.
Beach
I liked it. This is where we spent most of our time. It’s worth going to Turban for such a sea! The sea is always calm, there are no waves, and very clean, transparent, surrounded by the mountains of the Bay.
The beach is narrow in width and long in length. One of the best in this region. Entry into the water - there are 2 types of beach on both sides of the pier with a gradual pebble descent. The pebbles are small, not smooth, but it is quite possible to enter, children can enter absolutely calm. Further along the promenade there is another Turbana beach with a platform beach, with entry into the water via ladders. Mostly foreigners rested there. Silence there, like in a relaxation pool! sleepy kingdom, there are no children there.
There are 2 piers on the beach, with sun loungers and soft mattresses, with large canvas umbrellas and a shower. From the pier there are stairs into the sea, as usual; There is a shower on the pier and when leaving the beach.
There are floating pontoons in the sea - inflatable things with ladders, in the area of the buoys, I counted 3 of them. Next to one of the piers there is a terrace, where there are also sun loungers with canvas umbrellas. Entertainment takes place on this terrace in the evening, it is located near the bar on the beach.
On the beach itself there are umbrellas made of reeds, I didn’t like them. They provide shade and debris falls off them.
The fish bit a lot this year when entering the sea.
Disadvantages along the beach:
1) dirty beach. Cleaning is poor. The hotel staff rakes for appearances, all the garbage remains. Bulls are everywhere. There are trash cans (clay jugs). But many people smoke on the beach, throw cigarette butts on the ground. For some reason, many people bring food to the beach from restaurants Accordingly, plastic cups, forks, and cigarette packs are lying around.
2) the sun loungers are old!! some are broken. They are not washed at all. The mattresses are stacked separately, and no one washes them either. For some reason you have to take them yourself and carry them to the sun lounger accordingly. None of the staff helps.
3) very crowded, the sun loungers are close to each other. There is not enough personal space. However, you can go to the pier, there is a solarium, with comfortable soft mattresses, and the sun loungers are quite far from each other. The sun loungers on the beach took about 8-9 hours ; Once we arrived at 10 o’clock and had difficulty finding 1 in the last row.
Exchange of towels throughout the day. In a booth that faces on one side to the main pool, and the other to the path leading to the beach. Towels for a deposit - 10S, at the end of the holiday the money is returned. Towels are so old, worn out, with holes in places , with stains, there are no memories left from the terry.
Promenade:
Gorgeous, runs along the sea. If you face the sea, then the path goes to the right, far to Icmeler, along the hotels. Everything is green - pine trees, palm trees, flowers, good for walking, taking pictures, beautiful view of the sea. Many people rent bicycles, they drive along the promenade. If you go to the left of the beach, there is also a promenade, but just hotels, without greenery.
To the right of the hotel along the beach is the dolphinarium.
Mini club.
Externally, a whole town for children, with its own swimming pool, park area, slides, with its own amphitheater, where mini-discos are held in the evenings. Two buildings, cozy, with tables and chairs inside. The children seem to be doing something during the day, the animators are trying their best: they played Indians, made bags, decorated T-shirts, drew pictures. There are few children in the hotel in September. The club seems to be designed for children 1-4 years old, children 5- 7 years in such a club is not interesting. Our 4-year-old girl did not like the mini-club and mini-disco, but she had something to compare with.
There is enough entertainment: daytime shows by the pool, competitions, team competitions, water polo. But they are a bit boring and sluggish. Animation software, normal for Marmaris.
Water aerobics:
The first hotel where I didn’t like it, the pool is deep 1m 50 cm, inconvenient for exercise; the girl conducted the classes unprofessionally. The hotel also conducts morning exercises and step tests.
There is gun shooting and golf. In the main building on the minus 1st floor there is table tennis, billiards, and computer games on large wall screens.
SPA center, in a separate building. We did not visit.
Internet:
wi-fi is free only on the 1st floor in the lobby at the reception, it works poorly, the speed is low, everyone complained, I didn’t get it every day, I couldn’t use Skype at all. Yes, and in the lobby on the 1st floor it is very stuffy on warm evenings and days the guests are soaking wet.
Amphitheater.
Nice, comfortable, there is enough room for everyone. It was packed to capacity in the evenings. There are a lot of people in the hotel in September. The shows are imported and good: acrobats, an African show, Turkish night, etc.
Entertainment on the terrace at the beach bar.
This is the highlight of the hotel. At 22.00 every day there was some kind of entertainment: a disco in white, an evening of EFES beer, live music, just disco. There are, as it were, 2 areas: 1) one huge one, near the bar on the beach with tables, candles are burning, for children there are sofas made of pillows, where they can jump and have fun without disturbing their parents. 2) the platform is slightly lower, on the terrace above the sea, with a stage on it. The performance (of musicians) can be watched from both platforms, there is enough space for everyone. On the 2nd the area is often covered with pillows for “reclining” and watching the program. Free popcorn is placed on the tables. I liked live music evenings more - guitar, cello, violin, these days on the lower platform there were not pillows, but also tables with candles, drinks, I liked this option better. Music over the sea, among the pine trees and stars...
Nutrition.
This is the weak point of a 5* hotel. Modest food in Turban, with poor service in the restaurant.
Main restaurant - Big hall inside the main building and a large area on the street. Poor air conditioning of the restaurant hall, at the beginning of September it is stuffy. Poor removal of dirty dishes from the tables. For breakfast on the 1st day of our holiday we could not find a single table on the terrace for this reason, although there were a lot of free tables. There were simply no tablecloths on many of the tables outside. Crumbs from the tables, if swept away, simply ended up on the floor (and indoors too). Only after a week of staying at the hotel did we first see cloth napkins for dinner on the tables. Quantity cutlery can be placed on the table as the waiter wants - for example, for lunch (dinner) 1 fork and 1 knife, and not for all guests. You may not be able to find cutlery in the hall yourself. There are no wine glasses on the tables. You must bring your own drinks, including water.
The tables are located very close to each other, in fact they are 6 people each, this is inconvenient. Moreover, if we found a table for 4 (and there were 3 of us), the waiters persistently tried to seat someone at the table. Here we actively objected - this is a 5* hotel?!
The plates in the restaurant are not all clean, some are greasy, especially for soup. Racks with dishes are located at 2 opposite ends of the hall, it is very inconvenient to walk over the heads of people sitting at the tables. Spoons and deep plates are at one end of the hall, porridge at the other end , this is also inconvenient. Drinks in the vending machines in the restaurant are ridiculous. But there are juice boxes in all bars, you can take them yourself in the lobby bar. Drinks in the restaurant include tea, coffee, beer, soft drinks, wine.
The choice of dishes in the first 6 days of your stay was meager. It was difficult to simply find something to eat. There are appetizers, they are tasteless. You take the second course and don’t eat it. You left the table feeling slightly malnourished. Soup - 2 types always, not liked it, tasteless. There was always fish. There were 2 types on the grill - one was inedible, tasteless, the other fish was tasty, there was also fish in batter - good. There were no red varieties of fish. There was enough greenery, cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, cabbage, beets. Potatoes fries, different pasta. White rice - not always. After a week of stay, the situation suddenly improved. Many foreigners arrived. They began to change tablecloths, began to remove dishes from the tables, and even suddenly began to remove our used plates while we were still at the table! The assortment has improved dishes: grilled chicken (whole), chicken rolls with green peas, beef steaks, goulash, grilled meat began to appear.
From seafood - a couple of times there were shrimp in the salad, once squid rings.
For some reason there was strong smoke and splashes near the grill in the main restaurant.
Breakfast is good: many types of cheeses, 3 types of cereals, oatmeal, semolina, rice, too much sugar, as in many hotels. Pancakes were prepared indoors, omelette with additives outside (there was a line of 8 to 11 people for the omelette). The coffee was good. C baked goods, buns, a bit sparse. And another feature: scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs, pancakes, toast, buns begin to be cooked after 7.30, closer to 8. Although breakfast is scheduled from 7 am. We went on an excursion at 7.30, the restaurant had a small selection of dishes.
The ice cream is good, tasty, free, at lunch and dinner, for some reason they only offer 2 types. Ice cream is also available in the mini-club, Algida, in cups
Bars. There is a snack bar, closer to the beach. You can have lunch there, under the pine trees, in the shade. The choice there is even more modest than in the main restaurant. In the evening there is either Turkish or Italian a la carte, one of them is free for Time relax.
At 16:00 there is a tea party with cookies and pastries in the snack bar, modest pastries, but there are some.
I liked the bars: 1) lobby bar in the main building, with a beautiful interior, excellent service, comfortable sofas, 2) pool bar, 3) beach bar. Drinks included Baileys liqueur (I liked it), Ephesus beer (not bad), daughter I took cocktails. I personally didn’t like the wine.
There is a bar on the street near the main building (non-alcoholic) - tea, coffee (including Turkish), served with Turkish delight.
Good coffee - expresso and Turkish - in the lobby bar and in the non-alcoholic bar on the street.
Excellent gozlime all day, no queues. There are sofas and tables with chairs, in the shade of pine trees, in silence. There is ayran (excellent), coffee, tea, cocoa.
Excursions.
We took 2 excursions from Tez tour. To the Aegean Islands and to Dalyan (turtle island). We liked it. Good organization, everything was on time. Both excursions included meals. the first excursion also includes all the drinks on the ship. Having been on an excursion to the Aegean Islands, I realized that it was worth coming to Marmaris for this! The beauty is indescribable. Nature, the sea - as if there was no civilization or people there. The sea is an unusual color, blue and smooth as a mirror.
Representative of Tez tour - Binnaz - thanks to her from us. She helped with everything, including providing medical care under insurance when her daughter was injured while staying at a hotel.
Guest relations at the hotel is the girl Sasha, very responsive and attentive, helps in resolving any issues.
In the evenings we went to Marmaris - a minibus with a green stripe 2 liras or 1 dollar, all side by side. We walked along the embankment, looked at the ships, admired the fountain show, beautiful, reminiscent of walking along the Yalta embankment.
The contingent of vacationers in the hotel: mainly from Russia, from Ukraine, from Turkey, and a minority of vacationers are Germans, English, French, Swiss, Poles.
Overall, I liked my stay at the Grand Yazici club Turban hotel.
I would still recommend the Marmaris-Icmeler region for a holiday for adults, without children. The infrastructure for children's recreation is less developed here than in the hotels of Kemer, Side, and Alanya. Besides, in September the sea and the pools are still cool.

They greet you well, always take care of you, everyone is polite. They solve any problems. Unless you are allowed to not follow the dress code in the restaurant. Well, the waterfalls were not included in the relaxation pool, thermopool, or spa Arcadia. In a la carte restaurants, as everywhere else, there is nothing to offer for an extra charge; Ibrahim the manager apologized for not having time to purchase. In Italian a la carte, I recommend taking a dish with a show presentation of gran cheese served. Yummy! There's also truffle oil, mmmmmmmmmm! When it gets cold, the air conditioners are set to warm, be sure to go to the spa, after the sauna, visit the open area on the roof, take a massage in the fresh air and don’t forget to finish with tea on the sun loungers in the relaxation hall. You'll eat fish, get tired of beach parties, and make discoveries while walking along the boardwalk. Don't ignore the thermal pools; rejuvenate easily and naturally.

The hotel is declared as 5 stars, in fact no more than 3 stars. Renovation, furniture and plumbing in the rooms (bungalows) are old. The lighting in the rooms is dim, it is difficult to find yourself in the mirror: o) There is practically no cleaning of the rooms, with the exception of changing towels. Bath accessories are not updated. It is impossible to be in the interior hall of the main restaurant due to the smell of food. The food is primitive, lack of fruits, natural juices, smoothies. With the exception of strong alcohol, everything else is local and of questionable taste and quality. One big plus is nature: o) Will I go to this hotel again? The answer is “yes”, only after a global renovation, replacement of the chef, menu and quality of cleaning: o)

8.4 Bought a 14-night tour to Turkey

The area is super, in a pine forest, birds, squirrels, everything. The rooms are a little tired, the beds are creaky, the plumbing could be updated. The phone is broken, but these are minor drawbacks. The beach is small, not to say super clean. There are also cigarette butts and garbage. There are plenty of sun loungers on the beach and on the piers. The food is not bad, but it may be a little lacking polish and some zest in the presentation. But very high quality products, in particular vegetables and fruits, are simply superb. There is always meat and fish for lunch and dinner, mussels once a week.

7.6 Bought a tour to Turkey for 11 nights

We rested in this hotel from May 6-16 with a group of 4 people. We chose it specifically because we wanted to live in small bungalows. So, if you also want a bungalow, this hotel is not for you. The rooms are very old and dirty, the floor is cracked, the corners of the bathroom are yellow with dirt, everything is barely hanging, falling apart, the shower is leaking. The bathroom itself was tiny. In the evening, it turned out that the bungalow had walls with excellent audibility, since we clearly heard the neighbors’ normal conversation, which prevented us from falling asleep. We lived in it for 2 nights, during which time the room was cleaned 2 times. It’s hard to call it cleaning, they just took out the garbage, changed the towels, the bed was made anyhow, the floor was never cleaned at all, despite the fact that garbage was visible on it with the naked eye. The glass surfaces and mirrors in the bathroom apparently were never wiped at all. Linen already yellowed with age, towels with stains. The drinks promised upon arrival appeared in the bar only on the 4th day, after the second trip to the reception. Then we found out that the hotel had a new building and asked to see the room. After viewing (only the next day there was a free one), we decided to move without hesitation, as we had the feeling that this was a completely different hotel. Fresh rooms, normal bed linen and towels, even the number of pillows on the bed is not 2, but 4. The service also seemed better, since the bed was made normally. And at least sometimes they vacuumed the floor, and in general they cleaned better. But even here there were some problems. A foot towel was provided every other day. The air conditioner didn't work rather than worked; it felt like it was just blowing warm air. With the air conditioner turned on to maximum, the room was hotter than the hallway. Yes, even with the window open it was cooler, and this was in the middle of the day in the heat of the day. There were also constant problems with the Internet. Yes, there is a Wi-Fi signal throughout almost the entire hotel (I couldn’t get it at all in the bungalow itself), but it constantly dropped out, reconnected and could not connect for several minutes. Stable Internet was only in the lobby and, oddly enough, on the beach. Food is average. There are literally 3 options for the main course for dinner. You have to constantly queue for the main course. The arrangement of dishes and salads is also inconvenient; you need to go through the entire dining room. Instead of lunch, we went to the Italian food court, ate pizza and schnitzels, as it was tastier. The fish food court was not working. Desserts are also standard, only pastries, there were no cakes. Alcohol is normal, not only local, but also imported. There is a bar in the main building open 24 hours. The service in the dining room is also poor. You come to the dining room and spend about 5 minutes looking for a seat, because all the tables are either occupied or covered with dirty dishes. A couple of people walk around the hall, slowly collecting it. At the same time, the table is not set again, and you have to look for your own cutlery. The dishes were also washed so-so, the cutlery and glasses were stained. On the plus side, I would like to note the excellent location on the outskirts of the city. Great beach with beautiful views And large territory hotel in the pines. There is also an excellent coffee shop on site with great coffee. I would also like to mention the girl at the reception, she was interested in solving all the problems and tried in every possible way to help. But we came to the hotel to relax, and not to stand at the reception desk.
