When cold, rain, and sometimes frosts come to our country in November, the period of unbearable heat and endless downpours ends in Thailand, and wonderful weather sets in, which lasts until March. It is for this reason that thousands of tourists from our country go on vacation to Thailand.

What is attractive about Thailand?

The coast of Thailand stretches for thousands of kilometers. It is washed by the waters of the Andaman and South China (in the Gulf of Thailand) seas. It is so diverse that absolutely every guest will find a corner of paradise for themselves: both a lover of comfort and a fan of “wild” relaxation.

And on numerous islands, the beaches of Thailand are simply amazing. This can be explained simply - getting to the islands is more difficult than getting to resorts located on the mainland. To do this, you need to travel by ferry; there are much fewer vacationers here, therefore, the sea and coast are not so spoiled by civilization.

There are several hundred beaches in the country, so we won’t even try to talk about them all. We will limit ourselves to just a few - we will present to you the best beaches in Thailand that arouse the interest of tourists. We will introduce you to both world-famous resorts and less popular, but no less beautiful.

The best beaches in Thailand: Jomtien (Pattaya)

This wonderful place is located in Pattaya - the most visited resort by Russian tourists, attractive for its cheap prices on everything: groceries, shopping, hotels. There are always a lot of vacationers here. Therefore, it is better to go on vacation to the Jompien area, which is located a few kilometers from Pattaya.

It is much calmer here, there are significantly fewer people, and picturesque green meadows begin very close to the coast. If you ask: “What are the best beaches in Thailand?”, 90% of tourists will tell you this particular beach. You can relax here comfortably throughout the year, since there is no rainy season in this area, the sea is almost always calm, and there are no low tides, which are typical for many other resorts, when the water recedes more than fifty meters from the shore.

The coast is covered with snow-white sand, the entrance to the water is quite steep, the depth begins almost immediately, so this is the only reason why it is not recommended to relax here with children.

Klong Prao (Koh Chang island)

Describing beautiful beaches Thailand, one cannot fail to mention the central and longest of them - Klong Prao, located on the purest soft snow-white sand, palm trees leaning towards the sea. There is no paved road here, so you can forget about civilization and fully enjoy the magnificent nature.

The Klong Prao coastline stretches for several kilometers. To the north of it there is Chai Chet Beach, no less attractive for tourists, separated from Klong Prao by a small river about 20 meters wide. Built in the south comfortable hotels(for example, "Amari").

Both beaches have a gentle entrance into the water. There are quite frequent low tides here, during which the water goes more than a hundred meters.

Lamai

As we already mentioned, the best (in our opinion) beaches in Thailand are located on the islands. For example, on Koh Samui you can have a great time on Lamai Beach. Its length is several kilometers. It organically combines developed infrastructure, picturesque landscapes and sparsely populated areas. There are areas here where there are very few people, probably because they are not very well equipped, but there are well-equipped areas with sun loungers, massage services right on the coast and a variety of water activities.

The coast is wide, covered with snow-white sand. Quite suitable for a family holiday. We do not recommend coming here in the fall, when the long rainy season begins on Koh Samui.

Long Beach

The beaches of Thailand (you can see the photo in our article) offer complete relaxation and relaxation not only for the body, but also for the soul. Long Beach doesn't have the usual resort noise. nightlife, several hotels are on the first line. The shore is sandy, the sea is clean. Holidays here attract with tranquility and privacy. From May to October-November there are usually huge waves here.

Nang Tong

The beaches of Thailand quite often attract people who want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and get away from the popular hiking trails. The length of Nang Tong is several kilometers. For a “wild” holiday (without hotels), the northern part is best suited. For those wishing to relax more comfortably, we recommend going to the southern or central sections.

The beach is sandy. Some areas just beyond the sand are covered with green grass. The entrance to the water is quite steep. Between May and October, Nang Thong Beach usually has very high waves, making swimming difficult, so it is advisable to visit this resort from November to the end of April.

Kaw Kwang and Klong Dao (Lanta)

The beaches of Thailand quite often resemble a colorful picture from an advertising brochure. This fully applies to Kaw Kwang Beach, located in the west of Lanta. In the morning, tourists wake up to the sound of the surf, there is a forest all around, there are no cars, no motorcycles, no noisy bars, local residents offering to buy something. Only two bungalow hotels with a restaurant. The clearest sea, gentle sun, picturesque greenery, clean sea air and an almost empty beach - what more could a tired metropolis resident want?

If you want to have a little fun, walk 30 minutes along the coast and you'll end up at Klong Dao. This is undoubtedly the best and most visited beach in Lanta. The infrastructure here is well developed - hotels and restaurants, bars and travel agencies, massage parlors. There are bank branches, of course, ATMs, motorbike rentals, and shops.

Had Rin Nok (Khangan)

Many beaches in Thailand have become world famous. An example of this is a place located on Phangan, in the south of the island. This beach is famous for the Full Moon Party. It takes place monthly. If you love parties, then you won't find a better place.

There are about ten bars along the coast, equipped with modern sound systems. Here music sounds all night long. The rest of the time, when there are no parties, this beach is suitable for traditional beach holiday. Luxurious sandy coast stretches for almost a kilometer. The beach is clean and wide, well equipped and well maintained.

Kata (Phuket)

And this is one of the most famous beaches Phuket Island, stretching for more than a kilometer. Coastline quite wide. Here children can play near the water. I must say that this beach, like no other, is suitable for a relaxing family vacation. Entry into the water is very smooth - the first ten meters the water barely reaches the knee. Children splash happily in the shallow water, and parents don’t have to worry about them.

Almost the entire coast (except for the northern sections) has sun loungers and umbrellas. There are no pronounced ebbs and flows on Kata, but from the second half of May to October there are quite high waves and underwater currents become more active. Therefore, at this time it is better to choose another beach in Thailand.

Unfortunately, we did not tell you about all the beautiful corners of Thailand, but if you remember, we did not set such a goal for ourselves. We just tried to convey to our readers how diverse the selection of magnificent beaches is located in this country.

Beaches of Thailand: reviews

Everyone who has already been lucky enough to vacation in Thailand believes that this is the best place on Earth. Picturesque nature, clear sea, the opportunity to choose a beach that will meet all your requirements for an ideal vacation. Many note the surprisingly warm, friendly attitude local population to the guests. In addition, there is the opportunity to stay in both luxurious apartments and a rather modest bungalow.

We are often asked “Which beach in Thailand to choose”, it’s time to answer and make our personal rating.

The coast stretches for thousands of kilometers and is washed by two seas - the Andaman and South China (in the Gulf of Thailand). It is so diverse that everyone will find a piece of paradise: both a fan of “wild” holidays and a lover of comfort with all the amenities (sun loungers, sun umbrellas, restaurants on the coast, expensive hotels).

In addition, there are many where the beaches of Thailand are even better. This is explained simply - getting here is more difficult than to mainland resorts (you have to travel by ferry, sometimes for several hours), there are fewer tourists, which means the sea and coast are not so spoiled by civilization: garbage, crowds of people and lack of greenery.

Since there are several hundred beaches in the country, it is impossible to talk about them all in one article. Therefore, we will limit ourselves to only a dozen, but the best, most interesting and beautiful for tourists. The review presents both world-famous and less popular ones (but this is no worse, and even better). There are also links to where everything is described in more detail and where you can see many more photographs.

After reading the article, experienced people will say that this or that beach is missing and that it would be nice to include it in our Top 10. Yes, everyone has their own tastes and for you, about a hundred coasts of the Gulf of Thailand are described on the site and Andaman Sea. Plus, there is also a video, which is gradually being added. As they say, look for your “bounty”.

Our rating - top 10 beaches in Thailand

Best beaches Thailand are located far from major cities and noisy life. Such places are mainly present on the islands, although there are also on the mainland (for example, in Khao Lak and Krabi). And we will start with the mainland ones.

Jomtien Beach (Pattaya)

Located in the famous Pattaya - the most Russian resort in Thailand. The city attracts with its cheapness on everything: hotels, food, shopping. Since there are so many people, the main coast is filled to capacity with tourists. Therefore, it is better to relax in, which is located a few kilometers south of the city. It is much calmer here, there are fewer people, half a kilometer from the coast green meadows begin, where there are no buildings.

This is by far the best. Here you can relax in comfort all year round, since there is no rainy season, the sea is almost always calm, there are no low tides, when the water goes 50-100 meters from the shore. The coast is sandy, no stones. The entrance to the water is not gentle, the depth begins immediately, after 4-5 meters it is already waist-deep (some beaches have a gentle entrance, when you have to walk 20-30 meters in the water to swim normally, and even more at low tides).

The Jomtien coastline stretches for several kilometers. There are areas with sun loungers and parasols (there are more people there), and there are places where only trees can provide shade.

Kata Beach (Phuket)

A popular beach on the island of Phuket among our tourists, the coastline stretches for about a kilometer. The coastline is wide - there will be enough space for your children to frolic near the water. It is generally good for, since the entrance to the water is shallow and the first 10 meters will be knee-deep. Children will happily splash around in the shallow water and you won’t have to worry about being in deep water. Almost the entire coast (except for the northern part) is occupied by sun loungers and sun umbrellas. So there's plenty of shade here.

Kata does not have pronounced ebbs and flows, but from mid-May to October-November there are often high waves (from half a meter and above) and underwater currents are activated, which can be carried out to sea. Therefore, during this period it is better to visit other beaches in Thailand.

Kata is connected (by land, not by water) to Karon - this is another one. It is longer and in some areas almost deserted. Unfortunately, there are few trees on it, and sun umbrellas are present mainly near hotels. 10-12 meters from the sea there is grass, which is pleasant to lie on. These two magnificent beaches are completely sandy, there are no stones.

Klong Prao (Koh Chang island)

- This is the central and longest. This is where the real bounty really is: clear sea, soft sand, palm trees hanging down to the water. This is clearly visible in the photographs. Unlike the previous two, there is no asphalt road 100 meters from the sea. Therefore, you can completely forget about civilization and enjoy your holiday in the lap of nature. When you swim in the sea, you will see the beautiful mountainous landscapes of Koh Chang.

The Klong Prao coastline stretches for several kilometers; it will take you at least 40 minutes to walk through it. And to the north of it there is another paradise beach Chai Chet, which is separated from Klong Prao by a river 15-20 meters wide. Both coasts will please everyone. In the south there are several comfortable hotels(for example, Amari), where guests are provided with sun loungers and sun umbrellas. There are very few people in the central part; inexpensive bungalows costing 350-400 baht per day are scattered along the shore.

These beaches have a gentle entrance to the water; very often there are low tides, when the water goes a hundred meters from the shore. Sand everywhere, no stones.

Lamai Beach (Samui)

Located on the island of Koh Samui, its length is several kilometers. Combines a developed infrastructure, beautiful views and relative sparseness. There are areas where there are few people and no sun loungers, but there are fully equipped areas with sun loungers, sun umbrellas, coastal massages and water activities. The coast is sandy and wide. Quite suitable for a family holiday. It is not recommended to visit only in autumn, when there is frequent rain on Koh Samui.

Long Beach (Phi Phi)

Without a doubt, we can rank among the most beautiful beaches in Thailand. There is no nightlife here; all the few hotels are located on the first line. The sea is very clean, the coast is sandy. The holiday is leisurely and calm. Long Beach on Phi Phi will help you completely forget about civilization with its cars, lots of people and fast pace of life.

From May to October-November, just like in Phuket, there can be huge waves.

Had Rin Nok (Khangan)

The beach on Koh Phangan is located in the south of the island. It is famous throughout the world for the Full Moon Party, which takes place once a month. If you are a party animal, there is no better place. There are a dozen bars along the coast with powerful sound systems that play music all night long. During this period there are a lot of people, sometimes several thousand.

When there are no parties, then Had Rin Nok is quite suitable for an ordinary beach holiday. The sandy coast stretches for about a kilometer, the entrance to the water is gentle. The beach is wide and clean as it is cleaned regularly.

Nang Thong Beach (Khao Lak)

It will appeal to those who prefer to get away from the well-worn tourist trails. Khao Resort The varnish is not so famous and popular, and therefore the nature here has been little changed by man. There are also few tourists.

Nang Tong stretches for several kilometers. For a semi-wild holiday, where there are no hotels, its northern part is suitable. For those who want to relax in comfort, on sun loungers, we recommend the center and south.

The beach is sandy. In some areas, green grass begins behind the sand and trees grow. The entrance to the water is shallow, the depth begins quickly.

From May to October there are often high waves and swimming is difficult, so the resort is recommended for visiting from November to the end of April.

Koh Kwang Beach (Lanta)

Located in the northwest of Lanta Island. This is truly an idyll! In the morning you wake up to the sound of the sea, there is a small forest all around, there are no cars, no motorcycles, no bars, no Thais offering to buy something on the beach. Only a couple of bungalow hotels and a restaurant attached to them. Sea, sun, greenery, clean air, almost empty beach - and it’s all yours! After sunset, you can go out to the middle of the beach and feel... the only person on the island - there is no lighting or people nearby.

And if you suddenly want to have fun and hang out a little, then walk along the coast for 20-30 minutes and you will find yourself on -. This is perhaps the most popular and it is here that the infrastructure with hotels, restaurants, bars, massage parlors and travel agencies is best developed. There are banks, ATMs, shops, and motorbike rentals.

Unfortunately, not all the beautiful corners of Thailand were included in the review, and such a goal was not set. We just tried to introduce you to the course, to show how diverse the choice is, fortunately there is information on the site for almost everyone. Without a doubt, to choose the best beaches in Thailand, you need to visit them all and draw your own conclusion. It’s better to trust us :) We won’t give bad advice!

Are there nudist beaches in Thailand?

P.S. Many people are interested in nudist beaches in Thailand. We answer - it is officially forbidden to be naked in in public places- this is done at your own peril and risk. For those who like to sunbathe naked, we can recommend finding secluded places, of which there are a large number throughout the country, especially on the islands. Of course, some nudists want to sunbathe in company; perhaps this can be negotiated with such amateurs.

It’s not easy to choose the best beach in Thailand, each of them has its own special features, let’s look at the most popular places for swimming in Phuket, Pattaya, Samui and other Thai resorts.

Beaches of Phuket

The island of Phuket is very popular among tourists and many of them immediately after landing the plane and checking into the hotel go straight to the beach. But choosing a suitable place for swimming is difficult question. But this is precisely what determines how high-quality, comfortable and attractive a holiday in Thailand will be. Therefore, it is worth taking a closer look at the most attractive beaches of Phuket.

Paradise

This is a beautiful well maintained place. Largely due to the fact that you can only get to it along a small, very winding path. Many tourists seek solitude on this beach. But during the holiday season, which in Thailand lasts from October to March, it can be quite crowded and entry is paid. There are palm trees all around, which create an appropriate setting for the entire holiday. The beach has a well-developed entertainment sector, including a cafe, so you can relax here in comfort, although surrounded by your own kind.

Patong - the most popular beach in Thailand

The most popular and therefore most densely populated beach in Phuket. There are a variety of entertainments for tourists here, depending on the season, as well as on the number of vacationers from different parts of the country, the theme of these entertainments may vary somewhat. The water here is not the cleanest, but for most tourists this is not a pressing problem.

Banana Beach

This is a very small beach, but it practically epitomizes the ideal place to relax. Not crowded here due to the distance from the main settlements. The scenery here is very beautiful and the water is clear. Despite such sparse crowds, there is still a cafe here.

Pattaya beaches

The beaches of the resort city of Pattaya are very diverse, but they all have something in common. The city is located in a bay, so there are no big waves and there are no storms as such here. Also, do not forget about the phenomenon of ebb and flow. High tides can completely engulf the beach area, and during low tides it will take a long time to get to the water.

Jomtien

This beach is one of the most convenient for budget holiday with a certain amount of comfort. You can find a place on the warm sand for free. But for a sun lounger, umbrella and other comfort conditions you need to pay a certain amount. This beach is not crowded, compared to the central ones; many tourists are scared off by the road that passes in close proximity to Jomtien. Among the positive aspects, it is worth noting the opportunity to fish, as well as the presence of all kinds of entertainment, including bungee jumping.

Koh Larn Island

The island is located in close proximity to the city, so many tourists go here to relax. Due to the fact that this is not so easy to do, the beach is quite uncrowded. This does not at all affect the number of services that tourists can receive. They have access to not only traditional entertainment, but also more exotic holiday. The beaches are different clean water, fine and pleasant sand. It would be worth mentioning that prices for standard services and the cost of meals in the cafe are slightly higher than in Pattaya.

Monkey Beach

This place is rarely visited by Thais, and tourists do not stay here for long. The reason for this was the monkeys who chose this beach. They are only here in certain time days, but not everyone can withstand such a neighborhood. The beach itself is also not very attractive; there are many reefs here.

Beaches of Koh Samui

Warm and fine sand is very pleasant for relaxing and swimming. The water is clear and always warm. These beaches are very attractive to tourists. But even among the best beaches there may be places that have their own characteristics.

Central Beach

This is one of the names of Chaweng. This beach is considered one of the most popular among tourists. Despite the large number of tourists, this beach always remains clean and the water is clear. The service sector is very developed and vacationers can receive any services at full price. reasonable price. The size of the beach is such that even with a large number of vacationers, it remains semi-desert and you can relax in comfort. This beach also has its drawback - in some places the water is very shallow. You have to go very far to swim. That is why such places are preferred by those who come to relax with children.

Coral Cove

For a relaxing and enjoyable holiday, you need to go to Coral Cove. This is an amazingly attractive beach. It is always uncrowded and calm here. There is a very convenient shore here, clean water. There is a hotel nearby with a fairly well-developed service sector. You can rent sunbeds, umbrellas from them and even visit their bar or restaurant.

Tong Krut

This is a shallow and almost deserted beach. There are no tourists in this place, and the nearest shops are several kilometers away. Thong Krut is ideal for those who want to enjoy watching unique sunsets, enjoy peace and tranquility.

But those places that are covered with warm, almost transparent sand amaze with their naturalness and naturalness. It is almost always sparsely crowded here. The beach has a well-groomed appearance. It is always clean, there is an atmosphere of peace and tranquility.

We also analyzed tourist reviews on more than 20 sites to provide truly up-to-date information about each beach.

Pattaya

Main tourist centre Thailand. It is known for its clubs, shows and adult entertainment. But some tourists consider the beaches of Pattaya to be dirty, although there are several in this resort and in the immediate vicinity scenic spots for swimming and sunbathing.

Central Beach

Tourists visit central beach Pattaya is rare - at high tide it practically disappears, and the water here is too cloudy and not suitable for swimming. But there are a lot of water activities, tourists are offered massages right on the sun loungers, and there are many restaurants and cafes very close by. Not a bad place for active rest on those days when you don’t want to go to remote beaches.

In the southern part, in the evenings there are noisy parties with dancing and music.

Crescent Moon Beach

The name is translated into Russian as “Crescent”. Sometimes it is also called Wong Phra Chan. It belongs to the five-star hotel Centara Grand Modus Resort. The Temple of Truth is clearly visible from the shore, and there is also a picturesque view of the sea. The sand is yellow, slightly coarse, but very clean - the hotel staff looks after it. The place is quiet, calm, and a small water park is open for vacationers with children. The depth of the sea near the shore is shallow, which is also good for relaxing with children. Right off the coast there are three granite slabs on which tourists love to take photographs.

Tourists write in blogs and reviews that the beach is good, without annoying hawkers and merchants, but the water can be cloudy, so swimming is not always pleasant.

But there is a shower, which is rare for Pattaya.

Bang Sarey

Small cozy beach in a quiet fishing village near Pattaya. The place is semi-wild, there is practically no infrastructure, but there is solitude and peace. The entrance to the water is gentle, so it’s good to relax with children, especially since there is a small playground at the beginning of the coast. Food is sold in small cafes, and there are small hotels along the coast.

Tourists rarely come here, but judging by the reviews, there are a lot of locals in Bang Sarey on holidays and weekends, so it’s better to come here on weekdays. The sand and sea are clean, so if you are not looking for noise and parties, then you can have a good rest here.

Sai Kaew Military Beach

Many consider it the best beach in Pattaya. Getting here is inconvenient - it is 30 kilometers away from the center, you can only get there by rented bike or taxi. There is a lot of greenery, wild monkeys scurry right along the shore, and the nature is almost as beautiful as in Phuket. There are even coniferous trees growing here, which is unusual for Thailand.

Experienced tourists note that the easiest way is to take an excursion here - from 600 to 1000 rubles per person for travel and food. It is best to walk or drive to the far beach - there are too many tourists on the nearby one, but in the distance only a few Thai families relax, it is very calm and quiet.

IMPORTANT: Recently, non-residents of Thailand are allowed on the beach only for a fee. The price varies from 40 to 100 baht.

Pratumnak

The beach is within the city, clean, but expensive. There is a water park on the territory, but due to the rocky bottom it is not very comfortable to relax with children. In booklets and on websites they write that there is no fuss here, but in fact, during the season it is quite crowded. It is a little quieter in the Royal Cliff and Sheraton areas, but you can only get there through the hotel for a fee.

Dongtan

Information about Dongtan is very contradictory due to the fact that it is a long strip of sand, practically not divided into zones. The southern part has earned a reputation as a vacation spot for sexual minorities. It’s not very comfortable in the north - there is a lot of garbage and stones, and noisy local fishermen often gather. It is better to stay in the center - here tourists will find a clear sea, a noisy atmosphere and Pattaya Park with regular and water attractions.

Jomtien

It is considered the most popular city beach due to its developed infrastructure - many hotels, massage parlors and cafes, noisy parties and discos are held at night. But the water is muddy and muddy, after swimming you just want to take a shower as soon as possible. So usually it is not lovers of swimming and silence who gather here, but young people and party-goers.

Cozy Beach

Cozy Beach is located right within the city, so the water here is not very pleasant for swimming, although it is cleaner than on other city beaches. Its territory is green and landscaped, the sand is as clean as on Samui, there are many sun loungers in the shade of trees. The only inconvenience tourists note is the very steep stairs - climbing them after swimming and sunbathing is not very pleasant. You shouldn't expect privacy either - due to the proximity to the center there are a lot of tourists, but mostly they prefer to relax here peacefully.

Wongamat

Wongamat is definitely the most clean beach Pattaya. Standing deep in the water here you can see your feet - not every beach in mainland Thailand can boast of this. Cleanliness makes the place crowded, the infrastructure here is also developed - there are many hotels and cafes, after swimming you can stroll along the shady green alley. The coast cannot be called too beautiful, there are not enough sun loungers here, but the opportunity to swim without leaving the city makes up for all the shortcomings.

Other mainland resorts

Popular resorts There are not very many on the mainland in Thailand, but some of the beaches on them are still worthy of attention.

Nang Thong (Khao Lak)

A not too well-known resort that has preserved untouched nature and the atmosphere of a truly exotic Thailand. Its beach stretches for several kilometers. In the north there are no hotels or infrastructure; in the southern part and in the center there are sun loungers and you can have a snack in coastal cafes. In general, the shore is strewn with sand, but in some places there is green grass. The entrance to the water is sharp and deep. From May to October the waves here are high, you can’t swim, but surfing or windsurfing is excellent.

According to tourists, the place is quiet and romantic, you can do beautiful photos on the pier and on the swings. A local attraction is the picturesque lighthouse.

Hua Hin City Beach

More famous mainland resort. The beach here stretches along the entire city, but is constantly interrupted by closed areas of hotels and private houses, so there are only about eight exits to the sea.

The place is relatively suitable for swimming - there are many boulders near the shore, and there are often strong waves. At low tides the water moves too far from the shore. But sunbathing and just relaxing on the sand is very comfortable. In the central part there is a kite school and equipment rental; surfing and windsurfing are also convenient and fun.

Sai Noi (Hua Hin)

Unlike the city beach, this place is very clean, with small waves and a shallow entrance to the water. In reviews, tourists compare it with the beaches on the islands in terms of picturesqueness and cleanliness of the water. On the outskirts there are a little unkempt places, but overall this does not spoil the impression. Sai Noi is a little far from the center, so the place is quiet and peaceful. The beach is fenced off from the rest of the world by picturesque rounded rocks.

Railay Beach (Krabi)

Many people know it as an island, but part of this province is on the mainland. Railay Beach is on small peninsula Railay, but you can only get here by boat - the land road is blocked by impassable rocks. For this reason, the beach is reminiscent of island beaches - the water is blue and clear, the sand is fine and clean, and there are a lot of people only in season or during the day, when tourists are brought here on excursions. The main feature is the picturesque rocks, which, with proper preparation, can be climbed. The stones are also in the water; at low tide you can get close to them and take interesting photographs. There is an opportunity to go scuba diving, and just swimming is also nice. There is a small club on the coast, but it is unlikely to fully satisfy lovers of nightlife.

Islands

When traveling to Thailand, you will find the best beaches and hotels on the islands. The sea here is cleaner, the atmosphere is calmer, and the nature is wilder and more tropical.

Kata (Phuket)

According to statistics on our website, trips to Russian tourists are taken most often. It stretches for a kilometer and is suitable for almost everyone - the strip of sand is wide, the entrance to the water is shallow, and at a depth in October-November there are strong waves that surfers love to conquer. Lots of sunbeds in the shade of trees. The sand is clean and soft, the sea is also clear. Among the negative aspects, tourists note crowded conditions in the high season and noise in the northern part due to the construction of new hotels. There are many hotels and cafes along the coast, but their prices are quite high.

Nai Harn (Phuket)

If you rank the beaches of Thailand, you can safely put this in first place. It is located in a bay, protected from wind and waves, and is divided into several zones. In the east it is good to relax with children - the sea here is shallow and clean, there are no stones on the shore or in the water. In other areas there are gentle waves that are pleasant to rock while swimming.

There is a freshwater lake on site that is good for water sports. In general, athletes love this beach - there is a yacht club here, you can snorkel and scuba dive, and go surfing.

Tourists consider Nai Harn very beautiful - palm trees and conifers grow along the shore, it is pleasant to watch sunsets and sunrises from the sand, and a beautiful panoramic view of the sea opens up.

The disadvantages are not significant - Nai Harn is located far from the airport, so getting here is not easy. But there are always few people here. There are also few cafes, but some people like it even more - it creates a more relaxed atmosphere.

Klong Prao (Koh Chang)

This is the central beach of Koh Chang, a real tropical bounty - azure sea, soft light sand and palm trees descending their branches straight to the water. However, during high tides, only a narrow strip of sand remains from the beach, and you won’t be able to soak up the sun. But swimming in clear water is very pleasant, and photographs taken here will resemble staged photos from the Maldives or Seychelles. If you still want to sunbathe in the sand, then choose northern part, Tea Chet.

The water is clean and warm, the bottom is very flat, so it’s very pleasant to splash around with children here. A short distance from the shore there is a road lined with shops and restaurants.

Tourists note that in the morning there are a lot of animals here - mainly crabs and fish, which hide from curious tourists during the day. There are no bananas or motorboats, so you can relax peacefully.

IMPORTANT: If just lying around and swimming becomes boring, rent a canoe or go to the nearest islands for snorkeling.

Lamai (Samui)

The island is almost as popular as Phuket. Tourists believe that all its beaches are good, but Lamai offers the most varied recreation. It stretches for several kilometers, and on this long strip of sand you can find both wild recreation and areas with developed infrastructure, And water activities. There are very few people here, the sand is clean and white. Sometimes waves rise, but other areas can be calm at the same time. Active tourists think that it is a little quiet here, but Lamai is completely suitable for a relaxing holiday. On the territory of Lamai there is a massage parlor with pleasant low prices.

Long Beach (Phi Phi)

When a person goes to Thailand, photos of beaches are often an assistant in choosing a place to relax. That's why many people go to - after all, the local Long Beach looks simply amazing in the photographs. The water here is really clean and blue, the shadow of the jungle falls on the snow-white sand, which seems to protect the beach from the encroachments of civilization. Holidays here are quiet and calm, the sea is warm. You can rent a snorkel and mask, a wave board, a kayak and even a Go Pro camera. Several dive centers are open on the shore - in the vicinity of the island you can see tiger sharks and other rare sea creatures. From November to March there are strong waves - bad for swimming, but very attractive for surfers and windsurfers. The only thing you won't find here is noisy parties.

Had Rin Nok (Khangan)

Island beaches are considered quiet and calm, but Had Rin Nok is an exception. Once a month, the Full Moon Party is held here - the largest and noisiest event in all of Thailand. Dozens of bars play music all night, and hundreds and thousands of people dance right on the shore.

As the party winds down, Had Rin Nok becomes almost deserted. It is best to swim in the left part of it - the bottom on the right is too rocky. The water is very clean, the sand is fine and really white, there are no stones or even small shells under your feet.

In the evenings, bars host small discos - not too large, but fun.

Koh Kwang (Lanta)

This quiet place on the island is notable for its rocky area, where trees grow right in the water - the swimming experience is quite interesting. There is also a classic sandy coast without infrastructure - only sun, greenery and sea.

Klong Dao (Lanta)

If you move a little away from Koh Kwang, you will find yourself on a completely different beach - Klong Dao. It is considered the main party spot in Lanta. There are many bars and restaurants, massage parlors and shops open there; for party lovers, noisy discos with dancing and drinking are held every evening.

After sunset every day, tourists are treated to a fire show.
