Phu Quoc is amazing beautiful island in the very south of Vietnam, the largest in the country. The northern part of the island is mostly mountains and forests, but the southern part of Fukuoka is more famous for its beaches.

Soft sand, clear sea and privacy can be found on almost all the beaches of Fukuoka. So which one should you choose for your holiday? The best option- visit them all! I made a short review of the best beaches on Phu Quoc island. Which one will be first on your list is up to you.

Long Beach

Long Beach in Fukuoka

On the west side of Phu Quoc you will find a large beach called Long Beach. It is impossible to drive past it, because this is where most of the hotels and resorts on the island are located. The beach on this side stretches for about 5 km, south of the capital of Fukuoka, Dong Dong. You can relax on any beach. They do not belong to hotels, and no one will kick you out.

Ganh Dau Beach

Gan Dau beach in Fukuoka

This beach is located at the top of the island in the north west coast, if you look at the map of Fukuoka. It is approximately 28 km from Dong Dong. To get to the beach, you need to drive past a Vietnamese village, and you will soon find yourself in a paradise. Silence, tranquility and beauty. There's only one for the whole beach local restaurant, so no one will stop you from enjoying the sea and peace. By the way, you can eat good seafood in the restaurant.

Bai Sao (Sao Beach)

Bai Sao beach in Fukuoka

On east side Phu Quoc Island has one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Getting to it is a little more difficult than getting to Long Beach. It is best to navigate by map or take a taxi. There are practically no signs on the roads of Fukuoka. Bai Sao is a rather secluded place. There are only a few restaurants and guest houses there, but they are located quite far from each other. If you're looking for a party, Long Beach is the place to go.

Cua Can

Cua Kan beach in Fukuoka

This Phu Quoc beach is not very well known to tourists, although it is located only 8 km north of the town of Duong Dong on the west coast of the island behind a fishing village. You can get there by boat or cross rickety wooden bridges on a bike. The car won't go there.

Bai Thom

Bai Thom beach in Phu Quoc

This Phu Quoc beach may not be as beautiful as Bai Sao, but it has its own unique charm. In addition, there you can have a nude photo shoot or make love right under a palm tree. It's not often that you meet someone there. A completely uninhabited place. This beach is located on extreme point northeast of the island, approximately 35 km from Dong Dong. The best way to get there is by bike.

Bai Vong Beach

Bai Wong beach in Phu Quoc

Bai Wong is located on east coast Fukuoka is about 8 km from the island's capital, about halfway to Bai Sao Beach. There too White sand and overall very beautiful. Several restaurants serving local Vietnamese cuisine are hidden under the palm trees. They serve wonderful fresh seafood and freshly squeezed juices. It is not difficult to get to Bai Wong by bike.

Take a look. With its help, you can decide which beach of the island to start your voyage from.

(aka Starfish Beach or StarFish Beach) is one of the most picturesque and uncrowded all over Fukuoka. Almost devoid of entertainment infrastructure, it is attractive numerous starfish that live on the shore. Other advantages of the attraction include: magnificent scenery, cleanliness and privacy.

Description of the beach with starfish

Or, as it is also called, "Starfish Beach" spread out in northern part Fukuoka. He's quite difficult to reach and is located at a considerable distance from the main tourist places of the island: travelers come here rarely, more often - as part of excursion groups.

Rush Vem- This paradise , covered small like flour white sand. The sea is shallow, incredible warm and transparent, it's beautiful here azure colors. Entering the water - flat, level, without stones and sharp shells. The beach is suitable for bathing, but more - for contemplation natural beauty and photo sessions. Its main advantage and feature is the huge number of large and small, bright starfish. They are scattered right along the shore, at shallow depths e, so you don’t need to make any effort to admire them. It’s still worth taking a mask and snorkeling tube with you: undersea world represented here by other representatives of marine fauna.

There is practically no shadow on Bai Rush Vem: the greenery here is not very dense, and there are few sun canopies. The beach will delight travelers idyllic landscape, it can safely be called one of the best on the island. Its main drawback is the dirt accumulated on the left side of the bank. Vacationers must comply with the following behavior rules:

  1. Don't leave behind garbage.
  2. Don't pick up with starfish.
  3. Don't take them out of the water do not touch And don't step on.
At the end tourist season starfish are getting much bigger less, this is also due to the fact that some travelers take them instead. This big trouble Bai Rush Vema, because due to irresponsible guests of the island, the beach may simply lose its “trick”.

Where is the starfish beach?

Beach with starfish on the map of Fukuoka:

From administrative center Fukuoka - Duong Dong city, “Starfish beach” is 20 km away. Getting to the beach is not so easy. First, tourists need to find highway No. DT 973. You need to drive along it for about 10 km, until you reach a clearly visible turn to gravel road. Travelers need to follow this path for the same amount of time. Almost there now seashore, to the right, near the fishing village, another path goes off - bumpy, uneven I. There is no need to be afraid: you only need to drive along it for about 600 m.

The main thing is not to miss the second branch, they will help you with this signs and locals, which often tell travelers the right path. If guests of the island decide to cross the road on bikes, they need to stock up masks or bandages on your face: dust from unpaved roads flies in all directions.

Important! Tourists who have little experience driving motorcycles need to be as neat: the road here is very complex, beginners may lack the skills, which can lead to troubles and injuries on the trip. The driver and his passenger must be in helmet X.

Price motorbike rental in one day: about 250,000 dong (750 rubles or 10 dollars). On average, the journey by motorcycle takes about one hour. Driving your own car or getting out a little faster.

Attention! For travel with a driver you will have to pay approximately 500,000 dong (1,420 rubles or 21 dollars).

Tourists can also cooperate and rent minibus for 10 people- it's more profitable. This will cost the company 1,000,000 dong (2,820 rubles or 42 dollars).

Some excursion companies offer, the program of which includes a visit to the beach with starfish. They usually include visit to a fishing village, Phu Quoc pepper plantation and eco-farm. A visit to Starfish is provided by the popular Tour "Sunset Photo Tour of Fukuoka".

What entertainment is there on the beach, prices

Bai Rach Vem is attractive primarily because it is not crowded and savagery: not every tourist decides to overcome the difficult and confusing path to unique beach . Better food and drinks bring with you: The cost of snacks at the few local stalls is much higher due to the lack of competition. On the shore is open "floating" which was built right in the water on stilts. The establishment's menu includes fish, seafood and some national Vietnamese dishes, the price of which is also somewhat overpriced.

There are no other entertainments here: this place is unpopular, there are no large groups of tourists here, and accordingly, the infrastructure is poorly developed. On the other hand, this can be considered the “highlight” of Starfish Beach.

Photo gallery:

Vacationers visit the neighboring fishing village, also built at sea: traditional examples are presented here Vietnamese houses on the water. This authentic a place where you can truly feel the local flavor, chat with locals and see other, not tourist Phu Quoc.

Nearby are the following attractions:

Hotels near the beach, cost

Directly on the seashore no no accommodation facilities. The closest to Starfish are the following: hotels:

  • Phu Quoc Countryside. Represents small farm y, on the territory of which there are rooms and a small, cozy cafe - its cuisine is invariably praised by tourists. The rooms are decorated very modestly, but are quite suitable for short-term placement. Cost: ≈ 500 rub. per night;

Phu Quoc is primarily famous beautiful beaches. Their peculiarity is the creaking of fine yellow sand, reminiscent of the crunch of snow. And, of course, the transparent, clean sea. The best beaches in Fukuoka are collected in our review especially for you!

Long Beach

Long Beach Phu Quoc

This beach stretches south of the island's capital, Duong Dong, with a length of 5 km. This is where everything is concentrated tourism infrastructure: hotels, restaurants, cafes, massage parlors, dive centers. Accordingly, it is quite crowded and fun here.

Sao Beach (Bai Sao)

Bai Sao Beach

This beach is renowned for its scenic beauty and seclusion. It is located in the southeastern part of the island. Compared to Long beach, it is quite wide, since there are only a few guesthouses and cafes here.

Ganh Dau Beach

You can get to this beach by motorbike through a small village, enjoying the local flavor. There is only one seafood restaurant on the beach. It will especially appeal to those who are tired of the hustle and bustle and want deserted tranquility.

Cua can

Cua can Beach

Located on the west coast, 8 km from the capital of the island. Due to the nearby location of a fishing village, the water is muddy and not very clean. Therefore, this beach is not particularly popular among tourists.

Bai Thom

Bai Thom Beach Phu Quoc

This is a paradise, uninhabited place for lovers. This is where you can arrange a photo shoot for newlyweds, plunge into the sea naked and enjoy each other against the backdrop of a white sandy beach, fluffy palm trees and the sea breeze. Recommended for a honeymoon.

After relaxing on the beautiful sandy beaches islands, you can also remember about active recreation.

The beaches of Fukuoka are the main attraction of the island. There are really a lot of them in a relatively small area, and each one deserves attention: the huge Long Beach, the cozy Gan Dau, the much-advertised Sao Beach, and northern Thom Beach. Each of them is good in its own way, but we suggest choosing best beach Fukuoka. Go!

Long Beach

As the name suggests, the beach is the longest on Phu Quoc Island. It is better equipped than others for tourist vacation: infrastructure is developed, it is not difficult to get there from the center of the island. The sand here is fine, yellow in color, and the water is clear.

Let's start from the northern part of the beach, which is located closer to the center of Duong Dong. The water here is not always clean, as there is a port nearby. The approach to the sea is also not particularly convenient: a concrete frame has been built here, which not only spoils photographs, but is also simply dangerous. In some places you can see huge rain drains that evoke an association with sewers. Needless to say, there is no need to swim here.

However, if you go towards the eastern part of the island, the sea will become cleaner and cleaner, since some sections of the beach belong to hotels located on the first coastline (HanoiHotel, SalindaResortPhuQuocIsland, FamianaResort&Spa). The private beaches of Phu Quoc (Vietnam) can be used by hotel guests, but the administration will not mind if you pass through their territory and choose a convenient place on the shore.

The central part of the beach is the most comfortable and quiet. The entry into the sea is smooth, which will please families with children.

The infrastructure is developed here, there is trash, but not a lot. Getting to the center of Long Beach is not at all difficult: you can take a taxi from the city center (about 45,000VND or $2) or walk. As for renting a sun lounger, this service will cost approximately 100,000 dong ($4.5). As a gift, they often give a towel and a drink.

In the central part of the beach you can have lunch in one of the cafes. Prices here are reasonable: dinner by the ocean will cost 230,000 – 450,000 VND ($10-20).

As for the southern section of the beach, the infrastructure here is less developed, but there are also significantly fewer people. However, for amateurs secluded relaxation You should hurry, because now this beach area is being rapidly built up with hotels and tourist centers, so an influx of foreign guests is expected here in the coming years. The highlight of the southern part of Long Beach is big stones, which will become an excellent background for photographs.

The disadvantages of Long Beach include a large number of jellyfish and plankton (during their breeding season) that live in the sea. They are not dangerous, but not everyone enjoys meeting them.

As you can see, Long Beach is truly huge, and everyone will find their own piece of paradise here.

Coordinates on the map: 10.1886053, 103.9652003.

Bai Sao Beach

Many tourists call Bai Sao beach not only the best beach in Phu Quoc, but also in all of Vietnam. It is not difficult to find an explanation for this: the fine sand here is pearl-colored, the water is clear, and tall palm trees grow around the beach, which complement the picture of a paradise. Bai Sao Beach itself is not particularly long: you can walk around it in 20-30 minutes.

Since Bai Sao is located in the southeast of Fukuoka, bad weather and, as a result, high waves are rare here. The most favorable months to visit are March, April, May.

As for swimming itself, the entry into the sea is shallow, and in order for an adult to swim, it is necessary to walk several tens of meters deep into the sea. But for families with children, this is a big plus: you can safely let your child go a short walk along the coast.

However, there are also disadvantages. Bai Sao Beach in Fukuoka – popular place recreation, so there is always garbage here, even in varying quantities. Unfortunately, both locals and tourists are not particularly careful and do not care about the cleanliness of the beach. Oddly enough, it is especially dirty here in the off-season (November-January), since the garbage comes from the coast of Cambodia. But during the high season, hotel workers monitor the cleanliness.

The right half of Bai Sao Beach is wilder and there is a higher chance of encountering litter. But the left one is intended for tourists, so today there are several cafes and restaurants here. Also, only on the left side of Bai Sao Beach on Phu Quoc Island you can rent a sun lounger. There is a toilet and shower.

Coordinates on the map: 10.046741, 104.035139.

How to get there: Sao Beach is located somewhat away from the main infrastructure of the island. You can get here by bike or car. Since the end of 2018, Bai Sao has also been visiting tourist bus"Hop on - Hop off."

On Lang

This is a small but very cozy and beautiful beach. It is located on the west coast of Fukuoka. Unlike other beaches on the island, the sea and coastal area here are really clean, and the entry into the sea is smooth. The sand strip is quite narrow, but this disadvantage is compensated by the lack of people and big amount coconut trees on the shore. The sand is yellow, mixed with small coral fragments.

Ong Lang beach has a well-developed infrastructure: there are hotels (La Casa, May Fair Valley), cafes and restaurants, massages and ATMs. Distinctive feature this place is the opportunity to go scuba diving, because there is a clear sea and a rich aquatic world.

It is worth going here in March, April or May. We can say with confidence that this is the best beach according to tourist reviews.

How to find it on the map: 10.286359, 103.9153568.17.

Vung Bau Beach

The small beach in the north-west of the island is a strip of selected soft sand, stretching several kilometers to the north. Here, unlike most Phu Quoc beaches, there is no trash and the water is crystal clear. The entry into the water is smooth, and the sand is bright yellow.

Southern part Vung Bao can be considered wild, since it is completely empty and lacks any infrastructure. In the north, things are a little better - there are a couple of cafes and hotels. There is an opportunity to lie in the shade of trees or in the sun - there is enough space.

Now the beach is not particularly popular, but construction of the first tourist facilities has already begun here.

Mui Ganh Dau

The beach is small and far from the cleanest. You can find it in the north of Fukuoka island, 28 km from the capital (marked on the map). The most convenient way to get here is by bike - during the trip you will see picturesque fishing villages, local residents and how they lead their lives.

This beach is almost wild - there is only one restaurant and hotel, and there are always few people. The sand is fine, yellow, the water is cloudy. Entry into the water is smooth, but the strip of sand is narrow, and during high tides there is no place to even sit.

Mui Gan Zau is surrounded by forests and mountains, so there are rarely storms here, and bad weather avoids this place. The main advantage of the beach is the picturesque views.

Thom Beach

Located in the extreme northwest of Fukuoka. This is a very quiet and peaceful beach, surrounded by hazel thickets. You can get here along a dirt road by bike or car. There is practically no infrastructure, but there are still a couple of family hotels.

The sand on the beach is light yellow, and the sea is shallow, with noticeable low tides. Unlike the popular Bai Sao, there are very few people here, which means there is less garbage, but plastic bottles and bags are still found.

So far there are no large hotels on Thom Beach, but construction of a large one is planned in the near future tourist center. Therefore, for lovers wildlife It's worth hurrying.

As you can see, the beaches of Fukuoka are really beautiful and good in their own way. If you want to relax your mind and body, consider this island as your next travel destination!

Phu Quoc Island is just beginning its large-scale tourism development, yes, this is not a completely wild place, but it’s hard to call it fully developed either. This is precisely why it can attract the attention of travelers who want to see the untouched beauty of wild tropical nature and bask in the sun on half-empty beaches, sometimes even with white sand. Phu Quoc is an island located in the south of Vietnam in the Gulf of Thailand.

Great place for beach holiday our winter. Here, from the end of November to April, wonderful weather prevails for a relaxing beach holiday. You should not go here from May to October. The sea becomes rough during this period. And streams of water pour from the sky, which at a certain period fill the streets of the city and you almost have to swim through them. This is what it looks like. In this article I will tell you about the beautiful and deserted beaches of Fukuoka Island, where in some places there is even white sand. Sometimes it even looks like something out of a bounty chocolate commercial.

  • The main beach of Phu Quoc Island is Long Beach. it is along it that the bulk of all hotels, cafes, restaurants, and shops are located, and all other beaches need to be reached around the island by bike or taxi.
  • The sea in season (November to April) is mostly calm in the west, warm, clean - a great place for a quiet beach holiday. Sandy gentle entry into the sea. Comfortable spot for holidays with children.
  • The scorching sun can ruin your holiday, if on the first day you go swimming from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. without any sunscreen or capes, but even with protection at this time it is better not to appear in the sun. It’s better not to overdo it with swimming because the sun reflects even more strongly from the water. Sunset is approaching around 18:00 in the evening.
  • Beach fleas and flies are found on beaches in many Asian countries., but don’t be alarmed, their bites can be avoided if you follow the simplest rules. Lie on a mat or chaise lounge. Standing on wet sand in the waves. Move, when walking they will not have time to bite you, fleas are very lazy creatures. About flea and insect bites, Zhenya wrote an article where he tells what local ointments can help relieve itching if you are bitten -
  • All beaches are city beaches and they do not belong to hotels, know this if you are not allowed to go to the sea. There are, of course, expensive hotels with a closed area through which security guards may not allow you to pass. However, no one can stop you from walking on the beach. The phrase “Call police” (call the police) has a sobering effect on them if you are walking along the beach and not breaking into the main gate of the hotel

  • To find these beaches locally, purchase a SIM card with Internet access. Which SIM card and what tariffs to buy in Fukuoka. Use Google map, which shows almost all the beaches of the island.

I wanted to post a separate video for each beach, but I decided that it was better to provide a link to the playlist:

BeachLongBeach(Long Beach)

This beach is located on the western side of the island. Most of the hotels in all of Fukuoka were built in close proximity to it. This is where the entire tourist life of the island takes place, there are many cafes, restaurants, and shops. This is the main densely populated beach of the island. There are a lot of people now. Tourists, service personnel, hotels, the river carrying city garbage - all this does not benefit cleanliness.

Long Beach is quite long with a gently sloping sandy entrance. Sand on it yellow color, in some places the beach is narrow due to buildings close to the sea different hotels. The length of the beach, according to various sources, is from 10 to 15 km. Now Long Beach is divided into many small beaches. For example, the well-known Golden Sand Beach, Episode, Sunset Beach - this is all one Long Beach.

During the high season, with an influx of tourists, Between December and February, biting plankton breed in Fukuoka waters. People have different reactions to it: from light biting to allergic reactions. It is not possible to predict the reaction in advance, but in most cases the itching goes away within 5-10 minutes after leaving the sea. But plankton is not always there, which is very pleasing.

Sun loungers in most places in Fukuoka are paid for, we saw the price of 100 dong (300 rubles) for one day, and free if you live in a hotel on the beach. Compared to Cambodia, it is a bit expensive, because... there, the price for a sun lounger on the beach was the same as buying something in a cafe, it could even be water for $1.

Episode and Golden Sand Beach - part of Long Beach

Since Long Binch is very long (it’s not for nothing that it was called that), some parts of it cannot be seen without vehicle(scooter or taxi). Since 2017, the northern part of the beach (right on the territory of the Sanset Sonato hotel) has become famous for its new project Episode. Here you can see the remains of art objects created by the builders of Kazantip and partially destroyed by the Episode. Access to the beach is paid, but you can enter by water from the Golden Sand Beach bar, as, let me remind you all coastline Fukuoka cannot be urban and private!

Beach episode coordinates on Google map: https://goo.gl/maps/65NJeFb41XK2

Episode features amazing buildings that have already become a new attraction in Fukuoka. You can see them and capture them on camera, and it’s completely free, you just need to get there. And argue a little with the security, proving that 30 meters of beach in Vietnam is public place and it cannot be private territory.

Unfortunately, these fish no longer exist - they were demolished along with some other objects

Right behind the fence from Episode there is another interesting beach with an old Zhiguli and many objects for unusual photo sessions. This is one of the places in Fukuoka with free sun loungers. This Golden Sand Beach- golden sand beach. Cafe, music and perfect place for the sunset meeting:

Finding the beach on a Google map is also not difficult: https://goo.gl/maps/Pj6hgrnULY92

Also quite a nice place with beach parties - This is Sunset Beach. It houses a bar of the same name, where daily performances by Vietnamese and foreign DJs are held. Prices in the bar are slightly higher than the city average, but quite normal for the beach. Free sun loungers and a relaxed atmosphere

Bai Sao Beach (Sao Beach orBaiSao)

To get to Bai Sao beach you need to go to the south of the island, approximately 20-25 km from the city of Duong Dong. You can rent a scooter, or take a taxi (by the way, a taxi costs 8,000-10,000 dong for 1 km). The main road leading to it is of good quality, but the last 2 km at the exit is a completely bad dirt road. It was very inconvenient to ride a bike because of the piled-up stones, and taxi drivers and buses were constantly overtaking us and raising dust. Therefore, if you go there once, just to see the beach, it is better to choose a taxi, but if difficulties do not frighten you, then:

The first impression of the beach is amazing:

  • The snow-white sand hurts your eyes
  • blue bay (everything as advertised)
  • palm trees with swings hanging on them

I have never seen such a beautiful beach.

Coordinates of Bai Sao beach in Fukuoka on Google maps: https://goo.gl/maps/wjY3ppYMjXN2

However, upon closer inspection, Bai Sao Beach is not at all deserted. Several hotels stand on it and guests sunbathe on sun loungers. Other tourists constantly come from different parts of the island to see and capture the beauty of the beach. Therefore, a photo on a swing turns into a small queue, because everyone wants a beautiful shot on such a amazing beach. By the way, they will charge you 20,000 dong for the swing, but you can do without the fees.

There is some rubbish in the bushes between the hotels and in the tidal wave which really spoils the view. The dirt is usually cleaned up by hotel workers, but during the high season the sea throws up new garbage every day. Perhaps you should come to this beach early in the morning to enjoy the peace and tranquility. You can also go a little to the side or stop by the neighboring Paradise Beach - more about it below.

The sea seemed transparent due to the white sand, although it was exciting that day. Our guys also stayed to sunbathe in the shade, and they were badly bitten by midges.

We wouldn’t live here on the outskirts; apart from a couple of hotels and a cafe, there’s nothing else here. There is no infrastructure, this is a place for short-term relaxation and self-immersion, but many residents of megacities strive for this, for a two-week solitude from the whole world. This is the review recently left by guests of Bai Sao Beach in Fukuoka:

Firstly, the road is personally from us, and we are online - it costs about 500,000, secondly, these most popular swings are paid, each for 20,000, while no one is there - of course you can take a quick photo. But if you approach, a ton of negativity will fall on you, like “no, don’t sit here, you can’t sit here,” and just almost forcefully kick you out of there. The sea is dirty, when you walk along the beach you have diapers and dead fish under your feet. When you sit on the beach (and you can’t sit everywhere, unless you take a sun lounger for 100,000) they shoo you away with good place into a dirty place where even an old toothbrush is lying on the sand. Small children walk around with garbage bags, saying they are collecting garbage, and asking for money, just like in the Indian slums. In general, I don’t even have words

Paradiso Beach – Paradiso Restaurant

But this is already real paradise beach. The beach is located next to the hotel area. You can walk through calmly, leaving the bike in the parking lot - the cost is 100,000 dong. But with this money you can order yourself a cocktail at the bar, so in essence it’s just a deposit. The sand here is the same pure white, but unlike Bai Sao:

  • the beach here is regularly cleaned and cleaned very well
  • swings are free
  • no beggars
  • clean shower and toilet

Bai Ong Lang (BaiOngLang)

The beach lies north of the town of Duong Dong on the west coast of the island. There are also cafes and bars here; you wouldn’t dare call it secluded; in some ways it resembles Long Beach. However, all the beaches here are good, each in its own way.

Back in the 2018 season, it could be recommended for quiet family vacation with kids. But now there is construction almost everywhere in this area. A bit noisy. Some beaches were closed to guests. In general, the area is still better, since it is located above the river, so there is much less dirt in the water. Biting plankton also rarely appears here.

Coordinates central beach On Lang on Google maps: https://goo.gl/maps/quYB62N6DwL2

However, vacationers and guests of Phu Quoc Island also prefer neighboring beaches, for example the beach of the Mango Bay Hotel, where tourists are freely allowed. How does the beach enviably differ from the city limits of Long Beach, where not every hotel welcomes guests?

.

Bai Vung Bau

This beach is located north of the city of Duong Dong, approximately 10-12 km, you cannot get there on foot, a taxi or bike will help you with this. Having driven towards it from the main road, we realized that it was far away, and the road was not particularly good, we had to walk on gravel and such red earth.
The hotels are located far from the beach, so there are not many guests here, everyone comes, whoever uses what - scooters, taxis or bicycles.

At the same time, it is not crowded, there is one cafe on it with its own sun loungers and an offer to sit there and order something tasty; probably, when ordering, they will not ask you to pay for the sun lounger itself. However, no one bothers you to move to one side and sit in the shade of the trees.

Coordinates of Vung Bao beach on Google map: https://goo.gl/maps/9htz8KGrrjJ2

Bai Dai Beach (Bai Dai Beach)

You can get to this beach before reaching the Vinperl water park, because... then everything was blocked and closed by the park and hotel construction before it. If you mark a point on the map and approach just to this construction site of a large hotel in front of the park, turn onto the paved road to the left (if you are coming from Zuon Dong), along which you can get to the beach not so far.

Approaching the beach, we saw on the right hand the landscaped territory of some hotel, and on the left there was no one, however, a little later, builders began to arrive, apparently from the same construction site, to swim and relax. Perhaps if you arrive there in the morning, there will be no one else there and you can sunbathe and swim as you please. The entry into the sea at the time of our arrival seemed very shallow, we had to walk further to swim, while there are trees on the shore, under which there is shade.

Bai Gan Dau (GanhDauBeach)

This beach is located in the upper part of the island on the northwestern coast, from the city of Duong Dong it is about 27-29 km away.

You drive along a straight road past a Vietnamese village and find yourself on this beach, it is quite small in size, there are many fishing boats, there is a cafe, but when we were there it was dirty, we didn’t stay on it, took a photo and left. From this beach you can see several islands of Cambodia, below in the photo you can see them in the distance. If you drive a little further, along the same road, you can see a Buddhist temple.

Beach coordinates on Google maps: https://goo.gl/maps/HDdsMqRuZoK2

Bai Rush Vem (BaiRachVem)

This is one of the most popular distant beaches. It’s worth coming here to admire the beautiful starfish, of which there are quite a lot. Therefore, Starfish Beach has become a must-see during. And hundreds of tourists come every day by taxi and bike to see starfish. This is the second most famous beach on Fukuoka Island (right behind Bai Sao).

Coordinates of the beach with starfish in Fukuoka on the Google map: https://goo.gl/maps/PG5WDDXVL3U2

It’s just better to go to the left along the beach so that it’s clean, because... When we arrived, we saw where the cafes were, it was very dirty. And when we moved a little further away we were able to enjoy the stunning view of the sea, starfish, and palm trees.

Bai Thom

The drive to this beach is approximately 36 km. from the city of Duong Dong to the northeast of the island, although there is a cafe here, the beach itself seemed deserted. By the way, the Cambodian coast is also perfectly visible from here.

A great place to sunbathe in what your mother gave birth to and do all sorts of different pranks right in the shade under a palm tree. The main thing is not to forget to lie on a towel or blanket, remember about fleas, I think on a deserted beach they will be happy with your naked body. Closer to the right end of the beach, you can walk across the bridge to the nearest island to admire the wildlife.

Bai Khem (KhemBeach)

This beach is located on the southeastern side of Phu Quoc Island. On larger territory On this beach there is an expensive Mariot hotel, the minimum cost of a room per day will cost 27 -30 rubles. Security does not allow access to the beach through the hotel. Just now, in our chat about Fukuoka, they suggested that for a deposit of $25 you can calmly walk around the territory and along the beach. The deposit can be spent both in the bar and in the restaurant.

And if you want to get to the free part of the beach, you will have to leave the road and drive through the wild wilderness, but it’s worth it, you can sunbathe and swim to your heart’s content.

And finally, the most beautiful sunset, of which there are an amazing variety and you can admire them almost every day during the warm season.

Come to Phu Quoc island and admire the sea, sun, palm trees and such beautiful beaches, write in the comments your impressions if you have already been here or questions if something is not clear. Enjoy your trip and relax in this amazing place.

Hello, thanks for the article! I’m going to Phu Quoc for the winter, tell me where is the best place to stay. I don't want to live in tourist place, but it is important that you can rent a small accommodation (such as a guest house or home stay), there are shops available, a market and the Internet works. Which beach is better to look around? Thanks guys! Have a good day!

Good afternoon. Well, there's not much choice here. The main feature of Fukuoka is the location of the market. Not near him nice beach. Since a river flows through the market, and with it ships, boats and mud floats, therefore you will have to settle in a remote location: either On Lang - it’s quieter and cheaper here, or on Long Beach. In any case, walking distance from the sea and the market is difficult to achieve. If you don’t find housing yourself, I can recommend the reliable guys who helped us move in. And lately there have been a lot of resellers on the island

Guys, hello! Thank you very much for the detailed reports about wintering in Fukuoka, I’m glad to study it) We are planning to go there in early November for 3 months. I was very concerned about the response to Vinsky from people who were vacationing in Fukuoka this May, about the widespread household garbage on the beaches and in the water. Why are you lying and floating like in a garbage dump...(((
Personally, we spent the last winter on Samui and Nha Trang, so there was garbage there too, in Nha Trang there was more in places. But this did not in any way beg the rest of the advantages beautiful beaches And warm sea, in no way did it create a feeling of a garbage dump. Otherwise, my child and I would not have stayed there. That’s why I want to ask you, as eyewitnesses of the beaches during the season, how things are with the garbage?

  1. Good afternoon. Thanks for the feedback))
Regarding garbage, I won’t say that there is more of it here than anywhere else. During a storm and if the current is not good, some of the city's garbage may end up on the beach, especially during the rainy season, but as a rule the beaches are clean. In addition, if the western coast is stormy, then in the east there are quiet beaches and vice versa, so that there will definitely be a suitable place on the island.

I started to answer, and then I thought that it was a whole story, so here is a new article about my observations about dirt, garbage and poverty:

The first thing you want to see in Vietnam is the city of love, passion and flowers - Dalat.
Here is the most unusual and interesting house “Hang Nga” or “Crazy house”, which has no equal in the world. It amazes with its unpredictable design and lack of any system. There is not a single right angle in it, but there are many rooms, corridors, and fascinating passages. The fabulously beautiful building, which tourists have aptly dubbed a madhouse, is inhabited by fantastic images of people and animals. In one year, at least a million tourists visit it.
