It has happened more than once that friends have asked me different time years of advice, where is the best place to go now? What about the rains now? What's the weather like now in...? Well, and so on. To make life easier for myself and all of you, I have collected the most attractive destinations and countries where it is better to vacation in each specific month.

The set of recommendations given below is general, and for each country you must then separately look at the weather forecast and read the climate features of the particular place and beach where you are going. The information was collected from reviews from forums, because the websites of travel agencies and tour operators often contain complete nonsense, such as the fact that it is best to vacation in Egypt in August (it’s incredibly hot there!)

My beloved Thailand

I would like to draw your attention to the fact that there are such magical places in the world where you can relax peacefully all year round, for example, in Thailand in Pattaya, Cha-am, Hua Hin. Or in the Canaries on the island of Tenerife, where the weather is favorable all year round. Or the beautiful Maldives, beloved by everyone. Therefore, I will not mention them every month.

Where is the best place to relax in January?

If you want to sunbathe and swim in the sea, the best the best place– these are Asian beaches (Indonesia, Bali, Thailand (Phuket, Krabi, Phi Phi Island, etc.), Malaysia, India, Goa, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Seychelles, UAE) or beaches Caribbean Sea(Dominican Republic, Cuba, Tahiti, etc.)

You can go to Egypt or Tunisia, but keep in mind that it will just be comfortably warm for walking, but not for swimming or sunbathing.

When planning your trip, do not forget that January is a holiday month and it is better to buy all tickets in advance.

Where is the best place to relax in February?

The hottest countries this month are Thailand (Phuket, Krabi, Phi Phi, Chang), Cambodia and their closest neighbors Myanmar, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Vietnam is also good, especially for surfers, because there big waves. You can try to go to Bali, although there is still a risk of being in the rainy season. You can also go to countries a little further west, for example, the UAE, Goa, Sri Lanka or the Maldives.

Starting from February, Europe is slowly opening its doors, and already in February you can arrange an excursion trip to the south of Italy.

Or you can have a good rest in the Canaries. Or choose an even more western direction and relax in February in another hemisphere, for example, in the Caribbean.

Where is the best place to relax in March?

The most popular place beach holiday March can be called Egypt. And although it may still be a little windy there, it is already warm enough to laze on the beach and swim in the Red Sea. Also, it is not very hot this month in the UAE, the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean islands.

In March, it also becomes possible to visit Chile, Brazil, and Mexico.

The beaches of Asian countries and islands such as Thailand (Samui, Koh Tao, Phangan), Vietnam (although there may be big waves there), Singapore, Malaysia, Goa, Sri Lanka, Seychelles remain welcoming for tourists. , Maldives. The real dry hot season begins in Bali.

Where is the best place to relax in April?

April is already a warmer month and more and more more countries ready to receive tourists on their beaches. The Asian countries of Thailand (Samui, Tao, Phangan), Vietnam, Malaysia, and Bali are still friendly in terms of weather. One of best selections maybe Hainan Island in China. And the Maldives remains invariably favorable in terms of weather.

In Goa, they say the humidity is high, it’s hot and there may be high waves, but the weather is good.

In Egypt, Tunisia, and Morocco in April it is warm, but not yet hot, and in Israel (Eilat) April is considered the peak of the season.

The sea in the Canaries and the Caribbean remains warm and welcoming. From April you can also go to Malta, but keep in mind that at this time it is the peak tourist season.

Well, in April they already begin to actively travel Bus tours in spring Europe.

Where is the best place to relax in May?

The most popular destinations are Turkey and Egypt; it is not yet hot in these countries, but it is already very good. The weather is approximately the same in Tunisia and Morocco.

Of the Asian countries, the beaches of Thailand remain consistently good (Samui, Tao, Phangan), where it is hot, but still tolerable, Seychelles, Singapore, Indonesia, Bali, Vietnam with clear weather and transparent sea. An additional advantage It will be that on May 25, all Buddhist countries beautifully and brightly celebrate the birthday of Buddha.

You can go to the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean if short-term tropical downpours do not bother you. Tenerife is fine, hot during the day and slightly cool in the evening, but the water in the ocean may seem cool.

In May, active flowering begins throughout Europe and this is an excellent period for traveling to any European country, it is especially beautiful, they say on the Cote d'Azur of France.

Where is the best place to relax in June?

The most popular summer destination is Turkey and all kinds of beaches in Europe, such as Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, Italy, Spain and nearby islands, such as Sicily, Mallorca, Malta. But on the Cote d'Azur the sea is still cool this month, but you can just ride around beautiful towns France.

We can suggest that you go to Greece with its islands of Crete, Rhodes, Corfu, Zakynthos or Cyprus, but keep in mind that it may still be a little cold there.

From East Asian countries you can choose Bali, where in June it is not so humid and there is no rain, or Thailand (Samui, Tao, Phangan). I would warn you against traveling to other Asian and South African countries - it is too hot there during this period. The same as in the Caribbean, although many people still go to the Dominican Republic at this time.
But in Tunisia and Morocco, on the contrary, the sea may not yet be warm enough.

Well, various corners of our homeland are gradually becoming accessible, not only the Black Sea resorts, but also various places for tourist trips, such as the Caucasus, for example.

Where is the best place to relax in July?

If you are a big fan of the heat, then in July it’s time for you to go either to the European Mediterranean beaches in countries such as Italy, Spain, Portugal or Greece with its islands of Crete, Kos, the Cyclades, Rhodes, Corfu, where due to the breeze is not so hot, either in Morocco and the Caribbean, for example in the Dominican Republic. July also marks the start of the season in Tunisia and, according to tourists, it’s good in Bali and Thai Koh Samui, Tao, Koh Phangan.

And don’t forget the Mediterranean islands of Mallorca, Sicily, Malta, where it is a little hot, but the heat is not very noticeable.

Friends advised us to be sure to write that this month is very good for Cote d'Azur in France, and the sea is already warm and the weather is excellent.

If you prefer weather that is a little calmer in terms of heat, then it’s time for you to go to the Black Sea beaches of our country, Ukraine or Bulgaria, or soak up the sun Adriatic Sea in Montenegro and Croatia.

In July, the Sea of Azov is quite ready to receive tourists, and throughout Russia you can find a lot of cool places for wild recreation and hiking. They say that this month is the season in Karelia, for example.

Where is the best place to relax in August?

August is the hottest month of summer and if the heat doesn’t bother you, you can go on vacation to the Mediterranean beaches of Europe in Spain, Italy, France ( Cote d'Azur) or Greece, Cyprus and Crete, where the dry air should make the heat easier to bear.

It shouldn't be so hot at sea in Montenegro, Croatia and Bulgaria.

Good weather for a beach holiday in August in the United Arab Emirates and in Southeast Asia on the islands of Thailand - Samui, Tao, Phangan or in Indonesia on the island. Bali. If you are not afraid of waves and strong currents, then you can go to Sri Lanka.

In Turkey, the heat subsides by the end of August, and the sea will still be just as warm. Although Egypt remains popular, it will be very difficult to vacation there due to the scorching sun. The same as in Cuba and the Dominican Republic, where it is very hot and humid and the rainy season may already begin.

In September it is comfortable in the Canaries, although the water there may not be very warm.

And the real freedom for hikers begins in Russia. This month you can go on a hiking trip to the Altai mountains, go to Baikal, the Urals, or just have a great time on Lake Seliger.

Where is the best place to relax in September?

The most popular destination in September it will be Turkey, where it is no longer so hot, and the sea water is still very warm. The weather is the same in Tunisia, Morocco and Egypt.

It is better to go to the European beaches of Bulgaria, Croatia and Montenegro in the first half of September, because then it may start to rain and it will already be cold. But in Italy, Greece, and Cyprus there will still be very good weather. September is generally considered best month to visit Cyprus. In Spain you can visit Mallorca, Malaguf. If there is rain there, it will be mainly in the second half of September and will be short-lived for now.

The velvet season is also in Sicily this month, even if it rains, the sea is still warm.

September is the high season for Bali, at this time the weather is excellent and it is no longer hot in the Canaries, although the sea may seem cold.

You can still relax at the resorts of Ukraine and Russia; the weather there is still warm.

Where is the best place to relax in October?

In October you can have a great holiday in Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia; it won’t be hot anymore, but the water will still remain pleasantly warm. The same can be said about Israel and Jordan.

It is also still possible to travel to Turkey, although the evenings may already be chilly.

It is still warm in Greece (especially on the islands of Crete and Rhodes), but there may already be strong winds. But Cyprus has great weather in October.

Among the European islands, one can cautiously suggest Sicily and Malta. The sea there is not as warm as before, but you can still swim.

Opens its doors East Asia, October is considered the best time for a holiday in the UAE; you can already swim in China on the island. Hainan, and Goa, and in Thailand (Puket, Krabi, Phi Phi, Koh Chang, Pattaya, Koh Samet) the main rainy season is ending.

Where is the best place to relax in November?

In Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, it begins in November the Velvet season, but this does not mean that it will be cold, it’s just not so hot during the day, and cool in the evenings. Also suitable for a holiday in November are Mauritius or Maiders (Portugal).

Preserved in the Canaries and Cyprus swimming season, although it may also seem a little cool.

But the real season is opening in the countries and islands of East Asia: in the UAE, Maldives and Seychelles it is no longer hot, but comfortably warm. The dry season begins in the south of Vietnam; in Malaysia it is best to go to western islands, there is almost no rain there, just like in Cambodia. In Thailand, visit the islands of Phuket, Krabi, Phi Phi, Lanta, Ranong, Phang Nga, Satun, Chang and Samet in November.

November is best time for a holiday in India, Goa, Sri Lanka, the water temperature there is almost the same as the air temperature.

In Mexico and Caribbean(Cuba, Dominican Republic) the dry season begins, although short showers are still possible.

Where is the best place to relax in December?

They usually choose those places where it is warmest this month. And this is undoubtedly East Asia. In Goa, December is the high season; you can go to Sri Lanka or one of the islands of Thailand (Phuket, Krabi, Phi Phi, Chang, Samet, etc.). It is no less warm in neighboring countries - Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia. Vietnam is also warm, but the ocean is a little rough.

Many choose United United Arab Emirates, but be aware that the water may already be cool in December. Egypt and the Canaries this month are like roulette, the weather can be normal, or it can be windy and cold.

In the Caribbean (Cuba, Dominican Republic) in December it is warm and mostly dry, although it may rain briefly.

P.S. If you have any interesting and helpful information on the topic of where is the best place to relax in each month, I will be glad to receive any of your feedback and comments.

P.P.S. Remember that depending on the country, you need to use different hotel booking systems, one in Europe, another in Asia. But prices in all systems at once for the same hotel can be found in a metasearch engine, a very convenient joke.

1. Prague, Czech Republic)

We visited here for the first time on New Year's holidays in 2015. We visited again in the summer of 2016 and spring of 2018.

The main advantages of Prague are, firstly, accessibility (there are daily flights from Moscow and St. Petersburg for 6-7 thousand rubles) and budget (prices correspond to Russian ones, and for some cost categories they are even lower). Secondly, in addition to the huge number of attractions of Prague itself, there is also a lot of interesting things in its surroundings and neighboring cities.

  • Prices in Prague

2. Montenegro

We discovered this country in May 2014, when it was just gaining popularity among our compatriots. We traveled the entire coast of the country, from Herceg Novi to Ulcinj, in different companies (with friends or with children) and without undue modesty we can assure you that we have penetrated into almost all aspects of the holiday here :)

In February 2017, I visited Porto for the first time. The city became a real discovery for us. In the summer of 2018 we revisited Porto, as well as Lisbon and its surroundings. Currently, work is underway on a separate travel guide website for Portugal.

11. Helsinki (Finland)

As advocates of smart consumption, we often try to budget wisely for our travels, which is why we have repeatedly used Helsinki Airport as a starting point. During all this time, we have managed to get to know this city quite closely and we are ready to give some useful advice.

The Black Sea coast stretches from northwest to southeast, famous for its healing mud and mineral waters, rocks and sandy beaches, coniferous forests, waterfalls, lakes, botanical parks and man-made attractions, so many people prefer this unique place for. All that remains is to decide where to relax on the Black Sea in Russia inexpensively: in Sochi - with a humid and periodically rainy climate, with many health resorts, in the quiet and deserted “tangerine” Abkhazia, Anapa - the most suitable area for children, mild and stable in weather, Gelendzhik with its bays and bays, or some other picturesque region, in order to get a lot at an affordable cost unforgettable impressions and pleasure.

The advantage of a holiday within the country is that you do not need to apply for a visa and worry about exchange rates if you cross the border. What should tourists pay attention to when going on vacation to the Black Sea coast? It is necessary to take into account what services, including travel, food, accommodation, treatment, as well as variety of recreation, are included in this or that voucher.

Sochi

Sochi is famous for the warmest weather in all of Russia. Vacationers will enjoy the view of stormy streams and many caves, spend time among beautiful exotic flowers and unusual plants - rhododendron, vines, cherry laurel trees, and thanks to the cleanest air and mineral waters, they will receive a speedy recovery. Forests, mountains, fountains, children's slides and playgrounds, rental shops for beach and sports equipment, equipped slopes to the sea - all these attributes of Sochi resorts are very attractive for families with children, youth and sports enthusiasts, creating many opportunities for a good rest.

Comfortable modern hotels, service comparable to large hotels, give the resort increasing popularity and attractiveness.

During the preparation for the Winter Olympics, significant sums were spent on the improvement of Sochi, so the abundance of places for vacationers, with a wide range of prices, is a distinctive feature of the city.

Health improvement, treatment, family holiday, holding seminars, organizing romantic trips, unique ones - all this is provided to the guests of the world-famous resort.

When going to a resort, it is worth considering options for rented housing: a private sector, a room, or it could also be sharing an apartment with the owner near the sea, and therefore the daily cost of such a “place” will be from 350 rubles per day per person, in depending on conditions. A turnkey apartment twenty minutes walk from the sea can cost 1,200 rubles per person, and closer to the shore - about 1,500 rubles. Quiet places with an outbuilding in the courtyard of a private house do not differ in cost from ordinary “Khrushchev” buildings, you just need to take into account the surrounding environment - neighbors, construction work, presence of noisy roads.

How much does it cost to relax in Sochi if you stay in a hotel? Guest houses, located a five-minute walk from the sea, will cost from 1000 rubles and above. Houses in the private sector - 1200-1500 rubles. A room for two in a mini-hotel room, with amenities common to everyone - about 1500-1700 rubles per day. Boarding houses and more comfortable rooms will cost from 2,000 rubles. Canteens are relatively cheap - lunch costs from 150 rubles, which cannot be said about cafes that charge three times more for the same dishes.

Anapa

  • cinemas,
  • clubs,
  • restaurants,
  • guest houses.

Therapeutic hill, estuary and hydrogen sulfide mud will help improve your health. , and those who like the mild climate of this region. Gentle slopes into the water, half a meter deep at a great distance from the shore and the absence of stones allow children to have fun in the water for the little ones: diving, exploring the seabed with fins and a snorkel, learning to swim.

The cheapest rooms in Anapa can be rented within a half-hour walk from the coast (within 200 rubles per person, without intermediaries, which increase the cost by 20% or more), but you must be prepared to share a kitchen and bathroom with other guests or hosts .

If you arrive in Anapa in June or September, the cost of housing here will be 30-50% lower compared to prices in July and August.

Inexpensive recreation centers are a good option for families with children, including three meals a day and partial amenities, which does not exceed the cost of 1,500 rubles per person. By purchasing products from farmers, and not at the market, you can significantly save on food.

Gelendzhik

-->

Rest zone of this region- this is an area of pine plantations, famous for the mountains, clean air enriched with ozone, which stretches for one hundred kilometers along sea coast. Visitors have a fairly wide choice of places to stay. active rest, and also in order to send their children to camps where carnival evenings and fireworks are held.

Gelendzhik is a kind of sanatorium specializing in the treatment

  • cardiovascular
  • respiratory diseases,
  • nervous system,
  • problems with the musculoskeletal system.

The improved infrastructure of the city, modern recreation centers and health resorts, five-star hotels and small hotels offer a lot of opportunities for organizing recreation in accordance with any requests of tourists. There are water parks, as well as inexpensive cafes where you can taste the freshest seafood delicacies.

Most hotels operate on an all-inclusive basis. If you are interested in how much it costs to relax in Gelendzhik, then first you need to decide on transport: flight from Moscow - 10 thousand rubles per person, travel by train will cost from 2000 rubles, but the cost of traveling by car must be calculated independently, taking into account overnight stays at a hotel.

The weekly cost of a tour to Gelendzhik, including accommodation in a sanatorium with meals for two, will be at least about 32 thousand rubles, which is far from profitable compared to a voucher and hotel accommodation. A popular choice for tourists is a comfortable holiday with an average distance from the coast, costing about 1,500 rubles per day with one meal. Thus, focusing on the conditions of the Gelendzhik resorts, we can confidently assume that an amount of 12,000 rubles or more will be enough to spend a week on vacation, if the tourist’s needs are relatively modest and visits to expensive restaurants are not expected.

Abkhazia

Abkhazia is a small, cozy country in the northeastern part of the Black Sea coast. The mountain-sea landscape played an important role in shaping the climate of Abkhazia. For most of the year, the weather remains pleasant and warm, so if you come here at any time, vacationers will receive maximum inspiration and extremely positive impressions. Originality, friendliness, Russian-speaking population (everyone knows the language), unique natural factors - these are very pleasant distinctive characteristics of Abkhazia.

  • exciting excursions to the mountains,
  • roads to mysterious caves,
  • to waterfalls with stunning views,
  • crystal clear lakes,
  • incredible journeys through the Colchis forest,
  • paragliding over the sea,
  • horseback riding through the groves.

Abkhazia, which has 170 healing springs with mineral waters, is considered to be a health resort region: physical and psychological ailments are treated here.

If you are asking a question about how much it costs, then this amount depends on where you are going to go from and how much you intend to spend: will you buy kebabs, pay for entertainment for children and adults? It must be said that products in Abkhazia are relatively inexpensive. In general, each purchase of 1000 rubles in a local supermarket in Abkhazia will cost 1200 rubles. A lavish lunch will cost from 150 rubles per person, which applies to average-priced cafes. Only in the evening do prices jump up by 30-40%, reaching restaurant levels.

In the warm season, visitors will be pleased with peaches, watermelons and melons, and the hospitality and conditions for vacationers only improve from year to year. In winter, hotels in Abkhazia offer rooms costing from 450 rubles, in the autumn - from 800 to 1200 rubles, in the summer season, housing 500 m away from the coast costs at least 1500-2000 rubles. Boarding houses with their luxurious complexes, including a spa and a swimming pool, operating on an all-inclusive basis, for two people will cost 2,500 rubles per day. The cost of a house in the private sector does not exceed 300 rubles per person, but depending on this nuance, how many places and with what amenities the housing is provided to you, the cost can vary between 800-2500 rubles for two.

Using the opportunity to stay in the private sector, guests have the chance to study more closely the traditions of the Abkhazians, at any time buy high-quality and inexpensive wine, fruit, agricultural products, kebabs (only 80 rubles for 300 g!), communicate with nature and live like a “savage” . Visitors need to take into account the terrain stretching from home to the coast: if it is mountainous, then the journey in the opposite direction will significantly exceed the stated time.

Tuapse

Tuapse is a health resort city with 250 sanatoriums, with a subtropical mild climate, distinguished by relict forests and exclusive attractions. There are many camps in Tuapse located near boarding houses, which is convenient for families vacationing. Visitors are offered natural health remedies, as well as the most extensive list of attractions and entertainment, ranging from water activities, diving, catamaran rentals and parachute flights.

Swimming time here lasts from until the very end, since the upper layers of water warm up to 25 degrees. Tourists enjoy visiting museums, cinemas, walking along rocks with streams, and finding all kinds of recreation. Forests occupy about 80% of the area of Tuapse. Canyons, waterfalls, landscapes, natural attractions - all this is offered to tourists. The city has both public and private beaches with a developed coastline.

The cost of a week's trip to Tuapse for two with a flight from Moscow, for example, is 40,000 rubles. Meanwhile, a separate train route will cost 2,300 rubles per person, air travel - 5,000 rubles, which must be taken into account when purchasing a ticket. The level of comfortable living conditions in this region is not too high, for example, in comparison with Sochi, and the cost of housing here is also appropriate - compared to the Anapa resorts - lower by 20%.

When going to Tuapse, you need to have an idea of where exactly to stay so that the living conditions are enjoyable and the vacation does not become a disappointment, which may be due to chemical production in the city. Most vacationers prefer to rent accommodation in resort villages Tuapse district located far from the city center where the chemical fertilizer plant operates. From Tuapse you can easily get to other resorts at any time. Housing prices are formed in proportion to the distance of the coast from the house, but they especially increase due to the comfort of the rooms: in the same hotel the difference in the cost of an economy class room and a luxury room is five times different. At a distance of 500 to 1000 m from the sea, house prices can remain at the same level, and the farthest hotel rooms will cost half as much as coastal ones. Guest houses with parking lots, located a twenty-minute walk from the coast, are offered at prices from 200 to 500 rubles per day per room.

As you can see, rest on Black Sea coast can be relatively inexpensive and interesting, and the impressions from it will last for many, many years. Summarizing the above, it should be noted that choosing a place to relax is not only a matter of financial capabilities, but also of personal preferences. If small towns and villages do not abound with entertainment establishments, then these are the places where tourists who do not expect to rent can relax on the Black Sea cheaply and with relative comfort hotel rooms downtown.

Housing will cost more if you use the services of intermediaries. If the cost of products is resort towns is the same as in many other cities of Russia, then kiosks on the coast can offer everything at prices three times higher than usual. Will you buy ready-made meals or stand at the stove, are you ready to do laundry by hand, or can’t imagine existing without essential household appliances? Can you give up resort attractions and entertainment? And if not, how much are you willing to pay for them? You decide. Have a pleasant and unforgettable holiday!
