The Airbus A321 is the largest representative of the line of narrow-body aircraft Airbus. Narrow-body Airbus aircraft united in the so-called “A320 Family”, which also includes the A318, A319, A320 and the A321 itself. Let us remind you that narrow-body aircraft are those in which there is only one longitudinal passage between the seats in the middle of the cabin.

The A321 is 44.51 meters long and, when fully loaded, has a range of 5,950 km.

This model provides the lowest cost per kilometer of flight distance per passenger among narrow-body aircraft, in other words, due to low fuel consumption and large passenger capacity, a flight of 1 km on the A321 costs less per passenger than on other narrow-body aircraft. The A321 is equipped with new wingtips, which Airbus calls Sharklets. We talked about them in detail in a previous article about the Airbus A320 aircraft. We only note that the new winglets improve the aerodynamic characteristics of the wing, reducing fuel consumption and increasing flight range.

From 2015, it is planned to introduce new engine versions for the A320 Family. Using the new engines in conjunction with the wingtips will reduce fuel consumption by up to 15 percent and increase the flight range by an additional 900 km or the payload by 2 tons.

In a two-class configuration, the A321 aircraft seats 185, and in single-class cabins up to 220 passengers. With the new A321neo model, Airbus plans to increase passenger capacity through optimized use of the aircraft's cabin. New changes to the layout will increase the number of passenger seats to 240, while still maintaining comfortable seats with a width of 18 inches.

The A321, like the A320, has 4 doors (two on each side of the fuselage, in the nose and tail) and 4 emergency hatches (two on each side of the fuselage, in the middle). But unlike the A320, the A321 escape hatches are not located nearby, but separated by a large distance.

Aeroflot Airbus A321 seating diagram

Business Class.

As you can see in the Aeroflot A321 cabin diagram, the first 7 rows are dedicated to business class. There are 4 comfortable chairs in each row - two chairs on each side of the aisle. Although the A321 is a narrow-body aircraft, the cabin design allows for fairly wide seats.

Of the business class seats, pay special attention to the first row. Its peculiarity is that there is a partition directly in front of the first row, for some this is a plus, for others it is a minus. You just need to take into account that if you choose the first row, you will have to admire the wall for the entire flight. But on the other hand, no one will lean back on you. The first row is a little closer to the toilet, but not so much that it causes any inconvenience.

The last row of business class also has its own characteristics. Firstly, it is close to the noisier economy class, and secondly, there is a partition directly behind the last row of business class, and your seat may not recline fully.

Economy class

As you can see in the diagram, in the Aeroflot A321 cabin, toilets are located in three places: in the bow for business class, in the middle of the cabin and in the tail for economy class.

8th row. This is the first row of economy class. The places in this row are called seats increased comfort and are among the best on the Airbus A321. They are located immediately after the escape hatches, which give the 8th row seats a fairly generous amount of legroom. You won't disturb your neighbor (or you) when you want to get up. A small drawback of these chairs is that the armrests are motionless, since folding tables are built into them. This feature is also found in other chairs that are located at a distance from front row.

However, there are restrictions - passengers with children or pets, as well as passengers with disabilities and elderly passengers are generally prohibited from sitting in this row. Also, you cannot place hand luggage at your feet, so as not to block the path to the emergency exit.

The two outer seats of the 8th row (A and F in the diagram) are also distinguished by the fact that, due to the proximity to the emergency exit, it can be a little cold there, in the leg area. However, you can always ask the flight attendants for a blanket.

9 - 17 rows. Seats in these rows are regular. There are no special features. It works here general rule– the closer to the nose of the plane, the earlier food and drinks are served and the richer the assortment will be. The closer to the end of the compartment, the closer to the toilet with all the ensuing consequences.

18th row. The close proximity to the toilet naturally has its drawbacks - queues for the restroom, possible odors, sounds of doors and water draining. In addition, behind the 18th row there is a wall of the toilet, which does not allow the seats to be reclined.

19th row. This is the first row of the second economy class compartment. As can be seen in the Aeroflot A321 cabin diagram, these seats are located near the second pair of escape hatches. There are only 4 seats in this row; there are no outer seats so as not to interfere with evacuation in case of an emergency. Of course, the advantage of this row is that there is a lot of legroom in front of the seats, but this advantage is easily offset by the proximity to the toilets. The 19th row is subject to the same restrictions as the 8th.

20th row. Places A and F are very good. There is a lot of free space in front of you, you can easily get up from your seat and stretch your legs. These places are also places of increased comfort. The remaining 4 seats in row 20 are regular seats.

21 – 30 rows. These are regular seats, the same as the seats in rows 9-17. There are no special features. Row 30 is close to the toilet, and seats C and D, which are directly next to the aisle, are also inconvenient because a queue for the toilet may form next to you.

31st row. This is the last row, it has serious flaws. Not only the proximity to the toilet can spoil your mood, but also the fact that the backs in this row do not recline at all, since there is a wall immediately behind them.

Seat diagram of the Airbus A321 airline S7

Business class on the A321 S7 aircraft has only 2 rows, that is, 8 seats. There is a wall in front of the first row, and the seats in this row have the same characteristics as the seats in the first row of Aeroflot's A321 business class.

There is plenty of legroom in front of the second row. This business class row is preferable, however, you also need to take into account that it is close to the noisy economy class.

Economy class.

3rd row. As you can see in the A321 S7 cabin diagram, this row is located directly behind the partition separating economy class from business class. The disadvantage of this row is that there is a wall directly in front of you, and you will have to rest your gaze on it the entire flight. But on the other hand, no one will tilt the back of their seat towards you, and your knees will not rest against the seat in front of the passenger sitting in front of you. There is enough space in front of you, but you won’t be able to stretch your legs.

One of the disadvantages can also be noted that the folding tables are built into the armrests, which is why they become motionless.

The big advantage of the front rows of economy class is that food and drinks on the plane are served from the front. This means that passengers sitting in the front rows will have more food and drink choices and will receive their meals sooner.

We do not yet have detailed information about the location of the seats near the escape hatches, so we will try to give general information and recommendations based on the interior layout of the A321 S7.

Places near emergency hatches. The seats that are located in front of the emergency exit have a drawback - usually the backs of the seats do not recline or recline only limitedly. The seats that are located after the emergency exit are places of increased comfort, since the distance to the front row is quite large and there is ample legroom. You can stretch your legs calmly and get up without disturbing your neighbor. A small drawback is that the armrests of the chairs are motionless, since the pull-out table is built into the armrests. There are also restrictions for these seats - you cannot place hand luggage at your feet, passengers with children or pets, people with disabilities or the elderly cannot sit in these seats. In the chairs located directly It's a little cold near the escape hatch during the flight, but you can ask the flight attendants for a blanket.

Places near the toilet. Please note that, unlike Aeroflot's Airbus A321, the S7 has toilets located only in the bow for business class and in the tail of the aircraft for economy class, that is, there are no toilets in the middle of the cabin. This means that if you choose any seat except the seats in the last row, you do not risk spending your flight next to a toilet. The last, 35th row is located in close proximity to the toilet with all the ensuing consequences. The flight may be accompanied by the sounds of doors, water draining, and odors. There may also be a queue for the toilet in the aisle near you. In this sense, two seats in the 34th row on both sides of the aisle are also undesirable.

All other places are ordinary. When choosing a seat, you also need to take into account the rule - the closer to the nose of the plane, the faster the food is served, and the richer the assortment of food and drinks.

Seating diagram of the Airbus A321 of Ural Airlines

Inside the A321 aircraft Ural Airlines There are no business class seats, as can be seen in the diagram, all 220 seats are in economy class. A peculiarity of the cabin layout of this airline is that the toilets are located only in the bow and tail, that is, unlike Aeroflot, there are no toilets in the middle of the plane.

1st row. The first row has both advantages and disadvantages. Firstly, it is close to the kitchen and toilet. In addition, usually in such places there is always someone coming, someone leaving, queues for the toilet, and so on. This means that during the flight you will be accompanied by sounds, noise and bustle coming from there.

The disadvantage of the first row is the wall located directly in front of you. Although for some this is even an advantage, because there are no other passengers in front of you, no one will throw back their seat on you, no one will bother you. There is much more space for your knees than if there were chairs in front of you, which is also an advantage. But on the other hand, looking at this wall for the entire flight is probably not very pleasant either; it gives the impression of a closed space. We also note that the folding tables are built into the armrests, which is why the armrests cannot be raised.

Rows 2-9. These are ordinary places, they don’t have any special features. However, you need to remember that food and drinks on board the plane are served starting from the bow, so the further you sit from the bow, the later you will receive food, and the poorer the selection will be.

10th row. There is a shortage of seats in this row. The 10th row is located directly in front of the emergency hatches, which is why the seat backs do not recline or do not recline completely, so as not to block the path to the emergency exit.

11th row. As can be seen in the Ural Airlines A321 cabin diagram, there are only 4 seats in this row, that is, the two outer seats are missing so as not to interfere with the emergency exit. These are some of the best seats on the plane. Their advantage is that there is more legroom in front of you. You can calmly stretch your legs and get up without disturbing anyone. If you are traveling together, then you should take a closer look at these places, because there is no third seat, but there is also no porthole. Since the distance to the front row is large, the folding tables are located not in the backs of the front seats, but in the armrests, which is why they do not rise. These seats have the same restrictions as row 8 of Aeroflot's A321.

12th row. The extreme seats (at the porthole) in this row are very good. There are no seats in front, there is quite a lot of space. Very comfortably.

Rows 13-24. The seats in these rows are ordinary.

25th row. The seats in this row are the same as in the 10th row.

26th row. The seats in this row repeat the characteristics of the 11th row, but here all 6 seats are present. However, seats A and F in this row may be slightly skewed due to their proximity to the emergency exit, and one armrest may also be missing. In addition, due to the proximity to the hatches, it can be a little cold here. However, you can ask the flight attendants for a blanket.

Rows 27-36. The seats in these rows are ordinary, naturally, the closer to the end of the cabin and, accordingly, to the toilets, the worse.

Rows 37-38. These are the worst seats on this plane. Being next to a toilet does not bode well. The flight will be accompanied by the sounds of doors, water draining, possibly smells, etc. And the seats near the aisle in these rows are also bad because a line to the restroom may form next to you. Of the seats in these rows, the most preferable seats are E and F in row 37, which do not border the toilet and are not located on the aisle.

Nordwind Airbus A321 seating plan

There is no business class.

1st row. The 1st row repeats the characteristics of the 1st row of the A321 Uralavia.

Rows 2-10. These are ordinary places. However, the backrests of the F seats in the 9th row and the entire 10th row do not recline or recline only to a limited extent. This is done for safety purposes, since there are emergency hatches immediately behind the 10th row. However, please note that there are only two seats to the right of the aisle in row 10. If you're traveling as a couple, these places might be a good choice. But, of course, there is no porthole.

11th row. These are seats of increased comfort, they are located behind the emergency exit. These seats repeat the advantages and disadvantages of the seats in the 8th row of the A321 Aeroflot layout, which can be read about above.

Rows 12-24. These are ordinary places. Rows 23-24 repeat the characteristics of rows 9-10.

The interior of an A321 Nordwind airliner.

25 row. The seats are more comfortable; they repeat the advantages and disadvantages of the 11th row.

Rows 26-36. Here are the usual places. Aisle seats in row 36 have a drawback - people will crowd around you wanting to go to the toilet.

37 row. Worst seats on this plane. This is the last row, the seats are located right next to the toilets, with all the ensuing consequences, which you can read about above.

There are 21 Boeing 737-800 aircraft flying. The aircraft have two slightly different cabin layouts. Firstly, the difference is that in one of the options there is a row in which 2+2 passenger seats. And secondly, the numbering of the rows is “shifted” by 1.

For example, in the first version of the cabin there is no window on the 9th row, in the second - on the 8th. In the first version, the seat backs do not recline in the 12th row, and in the second - on the 11th. There are no other significant differences. Please keep this in mind when registering online.

Both configurations have two cabin classes - business and economy.

We will look at one of the cabin diagrams of the Boeing 737-800 S7 Airlines and try to figure out where the good ones are on the plane and where they are not. comfortable places.

Rows 1-3. These are business class seats. Let's note a few features:

First row is located closest to the kitchen and toilets, and you will also have to watch the wall during the flight. However, a significant advantage of these places is that no one will throw their chair back at you. It is clear that the width between the rows is large, but the recline angle of the business class seats is also significant.

And on 3rd row It may be inconvenient to be next to a noisier economy class.

However, these little things are not so important, and you will be comfortable in these places.

4 row. This is the first row of economy class seats, located in front of the partition, extra space seats. The rigid partition only reaches the middle of the business class seat, then there is free space. Very comfortable seats, but they are reserved for status card holders (gold or platinum) or at an additional cost for other passengers.

On the plus side, no one will lean the back of their chair on you, there is plenty of legroom. They also begin serving food from your row. This means you will receive it first.

Seats in row 9 A and F. There is information that in some configurations of this aircraft there is no window. If this is important to you, check this point with the air carrier.

Seats in row 12— seats behind which the first series of emergency exits is located. In this regard, as a rule, the seats do not recline or are severely limited in this regard.

13 row.- these are places with pros and cons.

First, about the cons. Since behind this row there is a second series of emergency exits, the seat backs are unlikely to recline.

Well, now the advantages.

Firstly, there are two, not three, seats in a row. This is always more convenient, especially if you are flying as a couple. And secondly, there is extra bed for legs. True, you will not be allowed to block the aisle with your hand luggage. Also, passengers with disabilities, passengers with children and animals are not allowed to be in these seats. There may be restrictions for older people.

Seats in row 14- enough good places. Plenty of legroom and the backrests recline. A small minus is that seats A and F may be “skewed”, and most likely there are no armrests on the side of the emergency hatch.

S7 Airlines is one of the most reliable and popular airlines in Russia, which operates international and domestic flights. It has 58 aircraft at its disposal, which are on average 9.7 years old. 20 of them are Airbus A319. This aircraft has a short, narrow fuselage. It can carry 134 passengers at a time. Before purchasing air tickets, you can familiarize yourself with the best seats in the cabin layout of the Airbus A319 S7 on the website in order to choose the best option for your flight.

Characteristics of the passenger compartment

The Airbus A319 is available in several configurations, but the s7 airline's fleet includes those whose cabin is divided into 2 classes: business and economy.

Business Class

1st and 2nd row– this is business class. There are only 8 places in this section. The chairs are very comfortable, with a wide seat and back that recline to almost 180°, they have a footrest. There is a dressing room in front of the 1st row, so some may find it uncomfortable to look at the wall for the entire flight. But they will bring you food faster than anyone else, since it is from these places that its distribution begins.

Economy class

Economy class is divided into 2 parts: from the 3rd to the 9th row and from the 10th to the 23rd.

  • 3rd row: considered one of the best seats on the airline's Airbus A319 aircraft cabin diagram. It is quite spacious here. Because there are no other seats in front of you, other passengers will not recline the seat back towards you. There will be quite a lot of space in front of you to place your legs comfortably. In addition, you can place your hand luggage on the floor or under your seat. And you'll get food first. These are also ideal seats for those traveling with a child, since you won't have to lift your neighbors out of their seats every time to go to the toilet with the baby. The only drawback is that the tables are on the armrests, so the seats will be narrower.
  • 9th row: it is in front emergency exits, so the seat backs either do not recline at all or are very limited in this. You will have to sit upright for the entire flight, which will be painful and tiring. And it is almost impossible to sleep in this position.

On some websites, passengers note that the distance between the seats in the first part of economy class is slightly greater than in the second. For this reason, if you are tall and long legs, but you did not get tickets for the 3rd or 10th row, travel in seats located closer to the front of the plane.

  • 10th row: here are also places increased comfort and this best places on the diagram of the cabin of the Airbus 319 airline S7. There are emergency hatches in front of them, so there is more space to place your feet. However, it is strictly forbidden to place bags either in the aisle or under the seats. Also, those traveling with a child or animal, pregnant women, people with disabilities and the elderly are not allowed to fly in these seats.
  • 22nd row: The seats here are no different from the rest in the cabin. There is only one significant drawback - the proximity of the bathrooms. Those who sit on seats near the aisle may be disturbed throughout the flight by the constant movement of other passengers who need to go to the toilet. In addition, there is a possibility that your feet will be stepped on, brushed against, leaned on the back of your chair and create a queue.
  • 23rd row: is considered the most inconvenient and is the last to be sold out. The main disadvantage is that there is a toilet wall right behind you. Firstly, because of this, you will constantly hear the door knocking and water being flushed from the tank. As well as all sorts of extraneous sounds and smells. Secondly, the back of your chair most likely does not recline or has limited opportunity in that. This risks the fact that you will spend the entire flight in an upright position, which will negatively affect your back and mood.

On top of everything else, you will be the last to receive food, and you will have to choose from a meager selection of what is left after other passengers. But there is one small advantage to flying at the end of the cabin. These seats are the last to sell out, so there's a good chance you may be traveling without neighbors. And this will allow you to get a good night's sleep and rest.

The narrow-body Airbus A320 airliners (Airbus A320, Airbus A320), flying short and medium distances up to 4900 km, are among the most successful and versatile passenger aircraft operated throughout the world.

Airbus A320 seat map

The passenger cabin of the Airbus A320 can accommodate up to 180 passengers. There are 3 toilets on board: 1 in the bow on the left side, 2 in the tail, behind the last passenger row.

The layout of the cabin is determined by the airline: not all flights have business class, and this sector can be equipped differently - with comfortable seats or transformable seats that convert into a bed.

Below are diagrams of the Airbus A320 cabins of popular airlines among travelers from Russia, as well as an overview of the best and worst seats.

Please note: information about the A320 of the Red Wings company is often searched for, but currently only the improved Airbus model, the A321, is already used in the carrier's fleet.

Aeroflot

Aeroflot operates regular flights more than 70 Airbus A320 aircraft. There are two types of cabin layouts, the main difference being the number of seats in business class.

First option:

  • Business class for 20 seats (located in groups of 2), rows - from 1 to 5;
  • Economy class - 120 seats (grouped by 3), rows - from 6 to 25;
  • The best seats on the Airbus A320 in economy class are Space+ with increased legroom, they are located on row 10 (B, C, D, E).

Second option:

  • Business class for 8 seats (placed in groups of 2), rows 1 and 2;
  • Economy class - 150 seats (3 each), rows - from 6 to 30;
  • The best Space+ economy class seats are located on row 14, B, C, D, E.

Bad seats in economy class are considered to be the seats at the end of the cabin near the toilet (and there may not be enough shelf space there for hand luggage) and middle ones in each row (no personal armrest). This rule works for most aircraft, not just the A320.

Ural Airlines

On the Airbus A320 airliner of Ural Airlines, a layout scheme for 156 seats is being implemented:

  • Business class - rows 1-3, 12 seats;
  • Economy class - 144 seats, the best (with extra legroom) - on rows 4, 10 and 11.

S7 Airlines

In the S7 Airlines fleet, European Airbuses are in great demand. In addition to the Airbus A320, the improved Airbus A320neo, as well as the A319 and A321 models, are operated.

Airbus A320 seat map at S7

  • Total seats - 158: business class - 8 (arranged in pairs), economy class - 150 (standard - 3);
  • Emergency exits are located opposite the seats in rows 10 and 11, and these seats are considered the most successful in economy class - wider legroom;
  • The standard bad seats are in the middle (especially for those flying alone) and at the end of the cabin (inconvenient for everyone - there are toilets nearby, there is not enough space on the shelf for hand luggage).

Seat diagram on Airbus A320neo near S7

  • Total seats - 164: business class - 8 (in pairs), economy class - 156 (3 each);
  • The best and bad places- as in the A320 diagram from S7.

Russia

Rossiya Airlines operates 4 aircraft of the Airbus A321 model. Each aircraft has business class and Space+ seats in economy class.

  • Business class - 12 seats, located in rows 1-3;
  • Economy class - 156 seats, row numbering - 4-29;
  • The best seats in economy (Space+) are row 12, B, C, D, E.

Yamal

IN air park Yamal Airlines 8 Airbus aircraft A320-200. Depending on the layout, on liners of this type, from 150 to 180 passenger seats can be available. The seats in the cabin are arranged according to the standard 3-3 layout (in economy class), and a comfortable business class is allocated in the bow.

Unfortunately, the official website of Yamal Airlines does not provide a diagram of the layout of the cabins of its aircraft. Seat selection is also not available when purchasing a ticket on the official website (regardless of the ticket class).

One of the main flights on which the A320 flies: Moscow - Simferopol.

Qatar Airways (Qatar Airways)

Qatar Airlines A320 aircraft are equipped with maximum comfort for passengers.

Each aircraft has 12 business class seats, the seats of which can be folded out into a full-fledged horizontal bed 200 cm long.

Personal monitors with an entertainment system, sockets, and USB connectors are available not only in business class, but also in economy class. All these advantages undoubtedly improve the level of even the “unsuccessful” middle seats and the last row.

Air Arabia

All airline flights are operated exclusively by A320 aircraft; this carrier has 31 aircraft in its fleet, with plans to expand the fleet to 44.

The advantage of Air Arabia's economy class is the maximum distance between seats - 81 cm (between the same points of two consecutive seats).

Single class, 29 rows. Number of seats - 174.

The best places on Airbus diagram A320 - 1, 2-4 (conveniently located), 11 and 12 rows (more legroom).
